Canwest Contracting (A division of Canwest Countertek Ltd) is a family owned and operated Renovation Company. With over 30 years in the construction industry, our skilled staff has the experience and expertise to complete any kitchen renovation project from start to finish at an affordable price and within a reasonable amount of time. We discuss proper building practices with our customers and provide options to achieve the end result they are seeking, while maintaining all restrictions outlined in the building codes. We are a Limited Company with full business insurance, WCB coverage, and are members of the Better Business Bureau.

Canwest Contracting staff is skilled in custom finish work, millwork, cabinets, countertops, ceiling texture, framing, drywall and taping, minor plumbing and electrical, as well as custom design. We take pride in our work from simple drywall repairs to complete kitchen renovations. We believe in doing the job right the first time and within a reasonable time frame. From initial tear out to final cleanup, we stand behind our quotes and additional charges are never incurred unless changes to the original design are made.

Canwest Contracting estimators discuss proper building practices and options with our customers to achieve the end result they are looking for at a price they can afford. We can also consult on projects where a contractor is on site and customers are looking for another opinion. We work with several journeyman plumbers and electricians for major changes in these areas, but keep costs down by doing minor work ourselves where the building code does not require a journeyman technician.

Canwest Contracting has worked with several larger contracting companies in the Calgary area, as well as provided service to many home owners looking to refresh their outdated kitchens. We fabricate our own countertops in-house, and work with several cabinet companies to obtain the best possible price for our customers. Our cabinet installers are experienced with many types of pre-fab and custom cabinets, as well as Ikea cabinets. We work directly with numerous suppliers and pass our corporate discounts to our customers. We keep our overhead low and pass the savings on to our customers by providing expert craftsmanship at a realistic price.
