Ka Design

Ka Design made a full renovation in the kitchen in 2011 overcharged considering the job done. (2 years after I bought this house again) shortly the panels from the poor cabinetry start falling apart, right now we are in 2019 and the kitchen is no longer good anymore. It's awful the materials chosen ( sink, faucet, countertop, etc.) are all ware out.

To pay 22,000$ in less than 200 sq.ft and not having more kitchen left, it's sad if not pathetic. I think a kitchen should last at least 10 years, minimum, considering that we take care.

Keep your money away from this contractor, bad quality & bad service.

Keith was managing the project and started fine. Had only one resource for the job which was average in experience. He dropped the project when i caught him lying about costs of countertop, wanted 100% and when i went for quotes he quoted 2K more than supplier. Not trustworthy.

He took my money and left and never returned. His work has to be totally redone by another contractor, floor was not leveled and so water came in from outside and sewage was not connected. Roof was totally done wrong and was redone. Pipe was on the outside wall and causing problems in the winter. Things were totally redone. Extensive delay on top of bad quality

The best contractors so far.!!, if I need another job, for sure I'll be coming back to them. They did renovation, construction and design for our bakery "Blüming Gateaux" at the Plateau, and looks wonderful. Keith not only was within budget, but he also added some time and stuff just for finishing the job. Monika is an excellent designer, she will for sure make your vision come true. After 10 years of looking at cement floors and insulation on walls, we finally have a finished basement that we can be so proud of. Thanks to Keith, Monica, Joe, Leo and the rest of the crew at KA Design for creating such a beautiful modern 4-1/2 apartment. I have seen many finished basements, but nothing compares to the detail and precision that Ka Design has put into our home. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for taking the extra care. Ka Design just recently renovated our basement. From nothing to a beautiful 4-1/2 apartment. They went out of their way to help us choose everything from A-Z. Keith and Monika, along with their crew, went out of their way to accommodate all our needs and created a place where I can now call home. We were very impressed with the accuracy to details and their meiculous work. We were very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone.

8 Months ago I was looking for a GC to take care care of my house renovation and after 20 interviews and quotes I decided to go with the Services of Ka Design for my house renovation. Keith Michaels and Monika are the people who run Ka. I must say my communication with Ka was Excellent and the owners were always ontime and responsive with all demands and requests. They took care of my Architechual Drawings and organization of complete house renovation. This wasn't one bedroom this was from Electrical to plumbing to restructurization of walls and redoing the entire house from Roof to windows to walls and french drains. I cannot ask for anything more then what I got, I was extremely happy with what I was delivered and would definatly ask them to do more work if I had more to do. To sum it all up we are extremly happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend their company to anyone who require honest and fair people.

After previous bad experiences with other contractors, I came to know about Ka design through handycanadian.ca. I had a great experience working with Keith on my kitchen renovation. Keith is always prompt and ready to make time for his clients, he understood our requirements and stated clearly possible problems or challenges in the project, he is always willing to provide information and guidance to choose the best materials within our budget, and he reassured us by showing pictures of his built projects. He took care of additional repairs and made sure that the work was done to our satisfaction. He checked his team work frequently and made them repeat some of the work if it was not done properly even if we did not ask them to, we did not need to supervise the work. His team was very pleasant and always showed up on time with a smile. Keith is honest, reliable, professional, perfectionist and very pleasant, he is very easy going and friendly. I was very happy with the end result and the quality of work and if I forgot to mention, he is very reasonable with what he charges. I strongly recommend Ka design for any renovation project; I know that I am not going to call anyone else for any renovations in my house.

We used KA Design on 2 separate projects since June 2009. Last summer they laid a stone patio, repaired our steps & railings, and some other miscellaneous issues in our backyard. This past winter they completed a 3 piece bathroom in our finished basement.

Obviously we felt they did a great job in our backyard in that we gave them a second project. Everything was completed on time and within the budget we were quoted so there were no "surprises".

We will use them again without any hesitation.

I've really enjoyed my experience working with Ka Design. They've been very professional and respectful of my needs and budget. Monica was excellent making my kitchen plan and exceding my expectations. She has tons of ideas and turned my old kitchen into a new kitchen with a lot of space to cook as well as storage. I would defenitely recommend Ka Design.
