I would not recommend this company to anyone. The workers were horrible, left big messes and substance abuse was part of the deal with them.
The work to be done was scheduled and was done on time, but the mess they left was horrible. The one reason I wouldn't go to this company again is that any warranty work you need to be done afterwards takes tons of phone calls with no calls returned and always excuses as to why it isn't on warranty. I paid alot of money to renovate my house and they don't want to take the responsibility to fix windows that won't open and siding that cracks afterwards. But when they wanted their money they were at my house ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Choose another company, this one doesn't care after they get their money!!
Mr. Siding was hired to do the front and back top portions of my house in siding. All through this process, there was never a clear indication of when their workers would be coming to do the job until they just showed up one day out of the blue, without any prior notification.
The workers were really the only decent part of this whole exchange. They did nice work, but they also broke a porch light and a board on my deck, left a huge mess to clean up, put huge dents in a corner of aluminum capping, and didn't bother to trim a corner of the siding at the back. These issues were brought up to Mr. Siding when the workers left and were either brushed off entirely or promised to be repaired at a later date.
Promise after promise went by - they will be back in two weeks, within the week, a month, et cetera. One day they show up, fix the aluminum, and leave without trimming the siding at the back. Bringing this to the business's attention got an 'oh well' response, and again, promises that they'll be back within the week, within two weeks, within the month, and on and on...
Well, they never did come back. Now the business is closed for the season even though I was promised this would be fixed beforehand. $4000 job and these guys can't even bother to come back out for a 5-minute fix.
I wouldn't recommend Mr. Siding to anyone I liked.
In the fall of October, we had Mr. Siding provide a quote for doing our eave troughs, fascia, soffits and gable ends. They submitted a quote and we agreed on a price. The work was supposed to begin in the spring around the beginning of May, 2014. Near the end of April, 2014 we called the office to find out when the work was scheduled for. We spoke to a male person who said the lady in charge would call us back. No calls were ever returned that week. We call in excess of a dozen times in May until the last call May 25, 2014. On May 26th I call them back and said I wanted my deposit back. The very next minute I finally got a call back saying I was scheduled to get the work done on June 2 or 3 if it doesn't rain. June 2, 2014 I received a call from Mr. Siding that the work was rescheduled to June 9, 2014.
The delivery guy showed up on the 9th and dropped of the material. The next day their crew showed up and began the work. Everything was going well until I asked their crew when they were going to start the gable ends. I was then told that the gable ends were not included on their worksheet. I called the office and told the quote was supposed to include the gable ends. The Sales Manager, Gene, calleld back saying he did not include the gable ends in his quote and that it would be extra. I told him that the gable ends were in my request for work done. He argued that my wife only asked for the eaves, soffit and fascia. I told him that when we sat in his office prior to writing this contract that the gable ends were to be included.
There was no error in my request. He stated the price does not include the gable ends being covered in vinyl. He said he would come out and speak with me the next morning.
The next morning (rather late in the morning) Gene showed up and said he could not do the gable ends for the price he quoted but if I wanted the work done he would give us a heck of deal. I was given a price to do the work and I felt I had no alternative but to take it since the crew was already there and it would likely take another company a few weeks before they would be able to get this work done. His price was not outlandish and was similar to another company I checked with. So I did not get a heck of a deal and the price was slightly higher than the other company. I accepted this but feel I was lied to and cheated by this Mr. Siding company. The work appears to well done and the materials were good quality.
Mr. Siding however lacks integrity (their word isn't worth the paper it's written on), professionalism (as they do return calls) and cannot recommend them to anyone. Their work crews are good however and should work for someone else.
AFTER SALES SERVICE IS TERRIBLE WITH MR. SIDING. We had fascia, soffits and capping around front windows done by Mr. Siding - work completed in April 2008. June 2013 we noticed the capping above our large LR window bulging out. We assumed this was due to house shifting. We phoned Mr. Siding June 13, 2013 and left a message with a guy in the office, to see if they could come out and do this small repair for us. He said one of the owners would get back to us. We never heard back from anyone. July 18, 2013 we emailed Mr. Siding with our request. On July 25, 2013 I phoned Karen at Mr. Siding and was told "they don't really have anyone to do small jobs and that they were very busy right now. Our repair would be done in the fall." Sept. 24, 2013 I phoned to remind them about our job. Was told again, "they were very busy and hadn't forgotten us, our name was on their board." March 12, 2014 I called and left a message for Karen with the guy in the office. Was told she was out and would return my call tomorrow. She did not. March 14, 2014 I called them back. Was told she was out of the office and he would have her call. I said I had called on Tuesday and no one called back AND that since last summer I had called 7 times with no success. I said I was at my wits end and would possibly take this complaint to the BBB. If they couldn't do this small repair job, could they please recommend someone who could. I said I have documented all my calls, including all the ones while the original job was being done and that I would contact the BBB if I don't hear back from Mr. Siding. As of April 23, 2014 we have had no response from Mr. Siding.
