I was very patient with Jonathan Towers around scheduling, and his multiple (12 times?) cancellations for showing up to finish the deck and pergola.

Project was finished in very late 2020 with multiple deficiencies (uneven cuts across edges of deck which he tried to cover up with caulking), for which I held back money.

Jonathan offered a three year warranty on the work. When the deck corners sagged I reached back out for him to remedy. He initially investigated and alleged he would return to fix the work once the snow had cleared, but he stopped picking up calls and responding to emails. Eventually I learned that he sold his house and skipped town. Not to worry... I will find him.

The services provided by Jon were mixed. In the beginning, the removal of the kitchen was done in prompt fashion. The installation of the cabinets went okay but then we ran into some issues with the sink and flooring.

Part of the contract was to have him and his team install the plumbing. He even requested pictures for reference. Once the cabinets were installed, he advised he wasn't able to do so and I would have to hire a plumber. A small credit was provided, however in retrospect, I should have pushed for more.

He also promised to return and fill a gap between my cabinets and flooring. That never happened. While I can understand with COVID and the flu being around in the winter, I never heard back once he said he was sick. I never bothered to follow up as I don't have the money to take him to court and get him to finish what I started.

We signed a contract in October and have since had materials dropped on our porch and have had 10 cancellations (not exaggerating). It is now April and no railing has been installed. I have tried to be credited back for the materials and have the company pick them up, as they can't be used, we are not able to install them ourselves as it would have to pass inspection. We have had to hire another contractor to buy the proper materials and install them to CODE and can't use any of the materials purchased, worth $900. We are trying to get our house on the market to sell and this is not allowing us to do so. Not only is it costing us money for materials that are useless, the stress of not getting the house on the market, but we are still without a porch going on for 6 months now. The company will no longer reply to emails or text messages and has left us hanging.
