Best fence for reducing street noise

I am planning on having a new fence built specifically to reduce road noise into my backyard. I back onto a 2 lane street that gets quite busy during rush hour. Any advice on what type of product or what company to use would be helpful. Thank you.

I am a supporter of constructing living fences that incorporate a trellis to accomodate vines that stay green all year round and broken upon with evergreens. You need a combination of materials to help diffuse/baffle the sound.
