This maybe could have gone into 'Interior Decorating' as well but I thought it fit here too. I'm looking for recommendations for good, hearty indoor plants that I could pick up for my new apartment. The only problem is that it's a basement apartment so it wouldn't get a lot of light. Any help?
you might wanna get a plant that doesn't require much sunlight. or alternatively, you can try use light bulb, it works the same, just give enough soil, water and other nutrients. :D
Garden centers will point out to you,low light plants, and the tag disciption will also tell you what it preferes...try and put them where (if possible) they can get some light...hanging baskets from the ceiling in front of the basement window(s) or if the sun does shine through your window, look to see where light shines on the floor(even if its only for a hour) and put the plant thier..so they can get some light.
Maybe you can take it outside and put it back inside when you leave the house, etc. Or put it by the window; any windows you have. :) Good luck!
