Which is a better air conditioner/heat pump, Daikin or Gree?

I have been researching air-conditioner/heat pumps and have narrowed it down to either Dakin or Gree. Has anybody any recommendations for either one of these two brands?

There is a difference of approximately $1000 between the two (Gree=$4700 & Daikin=$5700), a sizeable amount. Gree seems to have a larger variety of models (ceiling flush mounted, ceiling attached, floor, low to floor etc.) but Daikin has more features (Home Leave, room away).

Gree has a 5 year & 7 year warranty, which is decent enough but I can't find any reviews on it. Apparently it is made in China, but they say they have found a 'superior manufacturer' there and stand firmly behind their product now.

Does anybody have any opinions of know where I can see reviews on it?

Daikin is everywhere and is reputed to be the 'best in the world' so I don't need anymore about them. Sometimes you don't have to buy a Cadillac to get a good car, you know? If I can save $1000, and still get a good product, I want to. I don't HAVE to have the best, just a very good one!
