I had a tree limb pull down my hydro lines and it also pulled the pvc pipe down from the top of my meter up to the top where the hydro lines connect from the street. I still have power and I know I have to contact the hydro company to disconnect the wires.
All I need to have done is to feed the existing wires through new pipes and mount them back on the exterior of the house where they were. Meter housing is fine, just the tube running from meter housing and up needs to be replaced.
Do I need an Electrician to replace pvc pipes?
Yes, and it is called a mast. Should cost anywhere from 1500.00 to 2000.00.
Yes, this is not something to do yourself.
Hi John,
The previous posters are correct. You will need an electrician and an inspection from ESA unless the electrical contractor is a member of the "Authorized Contractor Program" (ACP), in which case ESA may not inspect.
Good luck with finding one, all of us are extremely busy doing this kind of work right now. Be patient, electrical contractors will be sort of material and manpower as they have been working all weekend and will continue until Tuesday at least.
Cheers
John

Absolutely John. This work can only be carried out by a licensed electrician. There is a standard process that is used in these situations and it is best to find an "ACP" member.
