I have three corners of my home that currently have cracks in them. I want to solve the problem myself, but the associate at the Home Depot suggested that I consult a structural engineer to check to make sure there isn't any other major structural issues.
Pictures have been included. The cracks do not continue into the basement and there are no water issues. The house was built in 1999.
Please advise.
Thanks.
It's better to get structural guy to review and give you a report. It's easier after even if you want to do it by yourself. It's the insurance liability incase something happens along the way at least you have the drawings and review by a structural engineer and you just following the specs to the Tee. That way you are covered on all grounds and the structural engineer will also recommend the safe process of getting the job done.
Spend that money and get an opinion by the engineer you will save your self a lot of headaches and sleepless nights.
