My fireplace was built on a plywood base and is now coming away from the wall on the main floor! Cracked at the mantle and the basement ceiling is bowing from the weight. The bowing is overtop of the furnace. I am looking to remove the brickwork above the mantle and drywall that part and secure the fireplace to the wall, reinforce the ceiling in the unfinished basement and adjust the firebox as it is now no longer aligned with the inside of the fireplace. This is a wood burning fireplace and would also like to convert it to gas.Budget: Uncertain
