Just one large room with a bathroom and a stand up shower, basement plumbing is roughed in and the walls are insulated all that is needed is drywall. the basement is about 700 square feet, the stairs leading down also need to be finished, flooring on the stairs will be carpet, the basement itself will be laminate throughout.
Also would like to have a little mini bar but this will depend mostly on final pricing.
thanks
I am looking for a quote for hanging drywall, mudding and taping and a textured knock down ceiling. My basement living space is about 1000 square feet and I am interested in installing sound bars (resilient channeling) on the ceiling. For all of the drywall I will be using 1/2 inch and for the mudding and taping I would prefer rounded corners.

We have an open concept floor plan for the main floor with open stairs to basement. Expect to have a continuous flow but with some privacy in the basement.
We have a 4 level split. We want the walk out level and the 4th level framed drywalled mudded and taped. The walkout level is 500 square feet and the 4th level is 500 square feet. On the walkout level it has a roughed in bathroom/Laundry room. We want another bedroom framed in which is partially done. On the 4th level we want the furnace room framed off and a room framed for an office. On the outside of the house theres a cement partician that we would like removed so it opens up to the future garage.
Building new house, possession end of June/07 - would like basement completed before we move in. We are moving to Airdrie in 2 weeks (that's why the BC phone #), we would like to commence construction of the basement as quickly as possible. The house is new, built in 06 and the basement is already paritally framed. We would also like to get an idea of what the cost would be to create a "walk-up" door and access to the basement. Time is a concern, we're not interested in hearing from you if you're unable to start the job by the end of April or early May. We're "easy- to- deal- with" type of people and I'm willing to lend a hand when/if necessary.
Looking to get a 750 sq. foot basement finished with a bedroom, bathroom and living room done. Other things we would like to add are: air conditioning unit installed (already wired), washer and dryer hookups in the basement, central vacuum installed (already roughed-in), Tiled/glass surround shower, gas fireplace, wet bar, heated floors for wet areas, sound proofing/sound deadening materials etc. Looking for tile in wet areas and carpet with the rest. We live in a 1 year + old home that didn't include fencing, decking or a garage so these would be potential projects as well depending on pricing.
For basement floor plan: please view the Vesta property in Williamstown (Reflections) for the Stafford floor plan.
Note* This is a 9ft basement
Thanks for your time!
We are trying to sell our 3 yr old house but before we can do that we have cracks in our basement that is allowing moisture in and minor water damage we need an expert to find where it is coming from. And an estimate of how much it will cost to get repaired. The house is currently vacant and we live in BC right now. We have family there at our disposal to allow you in. Pls call or email me on when you are free to take a look we need this repaired ASAP.
Alex
our house is a new construction in airdrie alberta. the project is roughly 740 square feet.
When we purchased our home we also purchased the "rec room ready package" that included a rough in for a 3 piece bathroom, a larger window and framing and insulation for the outside walls.
We only want a two piece pocket bath, and we would like to build a small office space (aprox 80 square feet) with french double doors to let in some of the natural light.
Wood studs are preferred. Obviously there would be some electrical required. The furnace switch would have to be moved and such. Floors carpeted (except the office) and we would like to have rounded corners and a knockdown ceiling finish to match the remainder of our home.
our ultimate goal is to use the space as a media space/ play room for our two small girls and have a semi private working space for mom to begin her online schooling.
We have no intention of starting this project immediately. we would just like to know what we are getting ourselves into. Our budget is EXTREMELY limited.
About 1000 Square feet. 750 square feet finished plus 250 storage and mechanical. Basement is concrete floor, plumbing is roughed in, walls are insulated. Want a bathroom, just a shower insert, sink and toilet, bedroom with closet, storage room, and small entertainment area. No wet bar or anything fancy. Want Tile floors in the bathroom, carpet in the bedroom, and the concrete in the rest stained, so that we can put down area rugs. So basically framing, electrical, plumbing and dry wall. Please get back to me asap. Would like to start development March 1st or so.
The basement has insulation and vapour barrier on the exterior. We are looking for a bathroom, one bedroom, and the rest basically open concept with a wet bar counter set up somewhere. Need everything from carpet to electrical. No renovations are currently down there. Some electrical is done (when house was built). Mckee built home in 1992 to 1996 I believe. Depending on references and pricing we could likely start right into planning and development with some help in design.
Approx 1200 square feet. Frame in two bedrooms, one bathroom, a furnace room and a rec room. All electrical and plumbing as required. Drywall, paint. Finish the bathroom. Install doors and casings in entire area. Flooring. Build a wet bar in the rec room and a built in area for the television with a fireplace (electric is okay if it cannot be vented).
Separately, I would also like to have a hot tub installed and wired in as well as my current deck expanded and possibly a new patio and front door installed on the home.
New build home in Airdrie. Will buy required materials to keep overall costs down. Open for suggestions on design. Open concept (no bedroom or separate room required). Bought Dri-Core subfloor and wide vinyl flooring to start. Estimate 55 sheets of drywall for ceiling and walls with framing required. Electrical wiring requirements for outlets, lights, and switches. Plumbing for bathroom installation. Design to build bar and bar service area, maybe with small sink. Need builder with design concepts. Basic basement area of approx 600 to 620 sq ft. Walls are insulated up to 8 foot height.
Around 800 square feet UNFINISHED basement, only got insulation. Would like to open 2 more windows, if permit allow. We need one bedroom, one living room, one bath with only stand up shower (3pc), one wet bar with counter top and sink and laundry area. Can be all finished by standard materials.
This will be around a 1200sqft basement. Bungalow style home.
This will be a full build. Kitchen, heating, bathroom. 1 bedroom and 1 office.
We are the owner of the house.
Materials we are not fully sure yet.
1 egress window. Will be a legal suite.
Not sure what else you may need to know.
Smaller basement roughly 500sq/ft. Looking to add a full bathroom and wet bar. We have ideas in mind, see pictures attached. Looking for quality work and prices. Currently the basement is insulted and that is it. Brand new house less than a year old. We prefer laminate flooring through except in bathroom would consider tiling. Also the bar area would be bought 8feet long with island again referring to pictures. Not looking for a stove at all but doing a mini fridge or kegerator. No stonework.
Basement is presently insulated with some wiring. It has a walk out basement entrance.
We want to finish it completely and turn it into a 1 or maybe 2 bedroom in-law suite with one bathroom for my mother. We may need to add steps/sidewalk going down from the front to the rear yard. We may expand the deck on the main floor as well.
We will have the basement floor insulated with dry-core or similar and then use vinyl plank throughout. We will need a laundry area as well. For the kitchen, we would like a full stove - either electric or gas with a hood fan.
Because the house does not have two furnaces, the suite cannot be approved as a legal suite, but we would like permits as may be suitable for the project without creating difficulties.
New construction, only a year old in basement. One wall to close off bathroom approx 7 ft - with door opening walls to enclose hot water tank & furnace with door openings for access (this one is a little tricky as for some reason the builder put the hot water tank on one side of a wall & the furnace on the other even though in the future development plans they gave us they are both on the same side. So now once enclosed we need two access doors instead of one. Frame in duct work on ceiling (bulk head ? ) in order for the ceiling to be finished. Frame around electrical panel - this too is an awkward spot as the tube (that contains the power to the box) that runs into the floor from the power box is further out from the wall than the actual box -- so it will have to be framed out from the wall to not only accommodate the box but all the way to the floor so the tube into the floor is hidden as well wiring for one light into bathroom.
Full basement development (approximately 650-800 sqft), 9ft ceiling, daylight basement/semi-basement
requirements: wood flooring (vinyl plank) with subflooring, wet bar, full bathroom, 1 bedroom with sound proofing, storage cabinets.
The house is built 2015 and already have rough-ins for the bathroom. Located at SW Airdrie.
