800 sq fit undeveloped basement. Would like 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, family room, fire place, kitchenette/bar, and washer and dryer. Laminate flooring on general areas. Tiles on kitchen, bathroom, and laundry areas. House is 25 years old. Will need an egress window for one bedroom. Need to run a gas line for upstairs kitchen which will also need renovation (not this time as basement is priority). Want a contractor that will let us do some work (ie painting) to save some money.
Looking for someone to develop our basement. Square footage is approximately 700 square feet and we're looking for a bedroom, bathroom and main area. Bathroom plumbing is all roughed in and the windows are all regulation size to develop the basement.
Looking for someone who can look after it all for us however I am willing to look after pulling permits and buying material.
Please let me know if you're interested. Time frame for completion would be to have it done by February.

940 sq ft bungallow. Back entrace decends directly to basement and also branches into the main floor kitchen.
House was built in 1959, basement has cinder block, which needs some recementing between blocks.
Basement was quasi developed. I am in the process of demolishing existing development such as hanging ceilings, panelling, etc. The place needs rebuilding from scratch; framing, insulation, dry wall, and so on.
Planning to have one bedroom and one bathroom. In addition a large living room dinning room area and a common area.
Basement has 6 fair size windows, one is under the deck (where the living room area is planned)
Prior bathroom was taken out before I owned the house. I believe that the plumbing was done by amatreurs and did not wok properly & was taken out.
There is a new / upgraded electrical box but wiring has to be reviewed.
Please let me know your experience developing basements, your approach to renovating this space, and approx. price per square footage which I understand it to be a rough idea of cost and not a proper quote for the job.
I would also appreciate referrences; i.e. people that I can contact and work I can see.
Thank you,
Sol
About 1000 sq ft basement for development in a 5 yearsold home,

We are looking for someone to help us through our basement development on a step by step basis. My wife and I want to complete the basement which is 914 square feet. I have already assembled some stud walls, and the floor plan is done. We need help finishing the studding and insallation step. We also have a shower/tub that is sitting in place where the bathroom is to be. I took out a development permit two years ago, but it has expired. And we want to have the complete basement completed in steps that we can afford (no credit used). For example, framing and insallation completion estimate $x, and work is done and paid. Then wiring and plumbing estimate is done, work is done and paid. Then a drywall estimate is given, and a month later the work is done and paid.
The walls at the moment are half done by the builders in 1979. They did not use the standard 2 x 4 since the thickness is 2-1/2€. They did not put the joists vertically but rather horizontally. There is no moisture coming in from the walls or the floor. There is only one vent from the furnace in the basement. The dimensions are roughly 27' 3€ x 20'. We say roughly since we only have a 15' measuring tape. There are 2 windows on the exterior long wall.
We would like the 4 walls insulated and finished to gyproc, including wiring. One wall, the length of the basement with the interior size of 8' and one dividing wall at 10', giving 2 rooms. We want a bathroom with a toilet and sink only.
The height from floor to ceiling beam is 8', we want a drop ceiling but are unsure of what to do with the floor.
Our disadvantages are that we cannot completely empty the basement so would have to work in segments. We work nights and sleep during the day so work would have to be done in a few hours at a time, meaning that work can't be done for an entire day but rather during early morning or early evening. If this is completely impossible then we could arrange to have the work done when we are on vacation in January.

I would like a quote on a basement development for my 1600sq. ft. two storey house. The space that needs to be developed is approximately 650-700sq. ft. I would like a 2-piece bathroom, and the rest of the space which is divided by the stairs, to be open space with door access to one area. The basement is currently insulated with one framed wall by the furnace area. I would like a quote based on standard materials and labour for framing/electrical/plumbing/painting/finishing. Carpet is optional as I can get that installed myself.

Other than that it is a pretty basic job.
I have a basement that needs to be developed for a home office / recording studio / jam space. I'm a graphic designer, so I measured out the basement and created a document with pictures, information, floor plans and so on. You can download the pfd here... Copy the link and paste it in your address bar. I'm looking for a detailed estimate. Thanks.
