We are needing our basement to be finished ideally by march 2011. Home is a 2008 landmark Montclair two story. Basements never been finished and is roughed in for full bath. Approx square footage is 1200 sq ft. We want a bedroom, bathroom, rec room, and possibly a wet bar. Rec room will be large and we want finishings to match rest of house. We want carpet except in bath where we want tile. Rec room should have all pot lights, flat ceiling, and ceilings r 9 ft tall. Currently the door to basement is on main but we wish to open up stairwell with spindles instead of drywall. We think a fireplace is a good idea as well to try and keep it warmer. We also want rec room to host a flat screen tv and built in speakers for surround sound. Baseboards in home are 6 inch. We have all the information about the colors ect used in rest of home. We want a soaker tub with shower, one sink and seat in bath and granite countertop.

2) Create door/small hallway to access bedroom from main room and close off access from furnace room.
3) build small bar in main room

Some electrical may need upgrading, and bar sink would need plumbing
We are looking to do a basement reno. The basement is finished, but we are removing a kitchen and a bedroom to create one larger entertaining area.
1 non-load bearing wall and 1 closet will need to be removed (both are drywall). There is a post in the wall that we would like to keep drywalled so some hanging/mud/taping will be required.
Then we want to remove the carpet and linoleum and replace with bamboo or cork flooring (floating preferable w/ a vapor barrier). The flooring area is ~525 sqft.
Finally we want to put in a ~8 foot long wet bar making use of the existing plumbing.
The same flooring that is chosen for the basement will also be used in the 2 bedrooms and hallway on the 2nd story (~275 sqft).
The same flooring will also be used in a den on the main floor of about 75 sqft.
We are dust sensitive and need someone who can keep the dust to the absolute bare minimum.
We want a completion date prior to Dec 23.
My small house is build in 2010. Area w14.5XL34 sqf. There are 2 windows completed. Please give me the estimate budget.
1. Wall is already done framed and insulated with no dry wall
2. Ceiling is no insulated now
3. Stair case 14 steps with carpet
4. I want to have a bed room and one bath room for my guests (with toilet and stand shower with sink)
5. Floor with Linolium
I am looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Regards,
Rocky

We are looking to renovate our half-duplex basement located in Ogden, SE Calgary. We are looking for a bathroom, bedroom and living space.
The house was built in the late 70's and has recently been demolished of all old basement materials.
Ideally we would like to get two quotes:
1. Bathroom build only
2. Full basement build (including bathroom).
We are looking to get quotes on the cost.
Hello,
I'm in the midding of a basement renovation of a 4 level split (two bottom floors which is about 1200 square feet in total).
I'm in need of the finishing touches now as my mud/tape/sanding is just about complete.
I'm looking for someone to come and do the following:
Install 4 windows
9 interior doors and jams
Install baseboards
I'm sure other odds and ends will come up as well but that's mainly what we're needing.
We have all materials already. We had planned to do this work ourselves however we fell behind and are in need of having this completed by the end of the month.
I'm am looking to have this work start on June 13th if at all possible.
Thanks you.
I would like quotes on developing my 675 sq ft basement. It is completely bare right now, the following is what I would like completed.
Ducks, framing, ceiling, electrical, roughed in 3 piece bathroom and sink, mudding/taping, subfloor and separate entrance install.
We would like to develop our basement. 2 bedrooms, new egress windows (2) approx. 10 x 12 each, 3 piece bath ( no rough in, in place) approx. 6 x 8, family room.
approx. 17 x 17.
Pot lights. Carpet except bath. Insulated floor through out.
Remove 1 telepost. Have engineer report for egress windows and telepost removal.
Tear out and Remove existing exterior walls, (we would like to start from scratch)
Our basement area is 494 SF and it is not a full square area. There is portion of the basement lot that is not excavated with an area of 50SF. If it will be excavated, the total basement area is 544SF.
Option #1: If no excavation or stay as it was now and put two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom (toilet, shower with no tub & sink) and living/dining area.
Option #2: If portion of basement lot (50SF) will be excavated and put two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom (toilet, shower with no tub & sink) and living/dining area.
As stated on two options, I have an inquiry;
1) How much is the cost on each options (labor, materials, and floor/site/electrical plans)?
2) Considering Option #2, the top portion of our basement (50SF) is a deck and in line with the main floor. If excavated, what is your design on this that it will be use as a deck that the rain/ snow water won’t sip into our basement? What is the cost? How long will it be finished?
3) What is also the cost if to have a walk out basement in both Options? How long will it be finished?
Appreciate if you will answer each item inquired.
Thank you.
We would like our basement redone, approximately 350 sq/ft, in a house built in 1980. It is already finished, but only half the walls are drywalled, the other half have paneling. We need the paneled walls to be removed and then drywalled, and would like some light switches moved, and ceiling lights installed. The ceiling is tiled so no major work should need to be done for the lights. We would also like painting and baseboards done, as well as two sliding doors installed in the walls.

The walls at the moment are in the original state built in 1979. It is a half duplex. There is no moisture coming in from the walls or the floor. The dimensions are roughly 27' 3€ x 20'. There are 2 windows.
We would like the 3 exterior walls and one shared wall insulated and finished to drywall. One room built approximately 10' by 13' preferrably sound proof. The flooring in the room is to be DRIcore topped with carpet. We are undecided about the rest of the area. A bathroom with a toilet and sink only. The height from floor to ceiling beam is 8'.
We work nights so the greater part of this job would be in January 2013.

The basement is currently 50% developed with one bedroom and large ecreational room.
I need to build a bathroom and a half-kitchen and another bedroom in my basement. The basement is aprox. 600 SF.
Also, the two basement windows are old small windows, i wound like to cut the concrete block and put two larger legal windows in.
I am planning to rent out the basment, so I need basic duralbe materials only.
I have a 840 square foot basement that includes all our utilities and lots of extra space for conversion to an income suite with rec room and just needs someone to get it done! It has been partially gutted. The house was built in the 40's and is your typical post war bungalow. I have budgeted $35,000 for this project.
It's a bi level built in 1985. The basement is fully finished with separate entrance with the exception of one bedroom 10x10 feet (approx) which needs dry wall, ceiling, floor. I am looking for quotation from qualified contractors to carry out the following.
a. finish the unfinished bedroom.
b. Put a small kitchen (contractor will get the permission from the City)
c. Another bedroom needs to be expanded by shifting the partition and create space for closet.
d. Put a dry wall and a door to separate the basement so that the other side can be used by the owner.
I would like my basement completed before Christmas 2014. The basement has been framed and is ready for taping, drywall, painting, laminate flooring, plumbing and electrical. I have all materials that are needed and what I need is labour to get the job done. The basement is 1,100 sq.ft. with a living room, bathroom and a bedroom.
