It is a two story house that was built in 1989, in which the basement is not completed. I would like to have the plumbing roughed in for a toilet, sink, shower and a laundry tub. Since it is in the basement it will require some concrete to be excavated to allow for the plumbing. The main pipe that it can be tied into is located within 1 foot of the bathroom to be completed.
Hi. The knob of the faucet in our bathroom broke and now we can't turn the water on for our tub. It's an old-style bathroom & we cannot just replace the faucet - the tile wall needs to be replaced before anything can be done. It might also mean replacing the old tub. The tub is an alcove jet tub and we just want a regular alcove tube. Is a quote done for free or do we have to make inital payments first?
Thank you.

Two, possible 3, bathroom renovations including installation of shower stall in one bathroom. Contractor must be skilled and efficient. Cost is a concern, but quality is more important. Job must be completed within a week if possible. House is 30 years old and in need of renos, but overall in excellent shape.
Hi, there:
I have a two-bed room, one bathroom condo at downtown Calgary. It's around 700 Square feet. I plan to sell it in this Jul. I think I need to do some renovation before I put it onto the market. However, I have no idea of how to re-model it so it can be sold faster. Do you have any suggestion?
I specifically want to know the price and time for re-model such a size of condo.
Thanks.
The tiles were not installed well initially so I am looking to get them re-done well.
The bath is a standard size and the tiling is just around the bathtub up to the ceiling.
Can you break out the estimate between labor and materials (range as I am sure it varies depending on what type of tile etc)
This is the only bathroom in the apartment, so could you also estimate the time it usually takes to complete?
Let me know if you need any further details.
The following items need doing,
Siding, skirting, windows, rain gutters,
Removal of soil (rocks, roots mini backhoe okayed depth for skirting) remove concrete steps and replacing, pathway?
More work inside, remove bathtub, replace shower stall, kitchen counter tops.
We are looking for help replacing a toilet in our home because I am certain it is the cause of the mystery urine smell. We have not yet purchased a toilet, but would like someone to come and provide guidance to what size of toilet we need to buy and an estimate for the work. We would buy the toilet and any supplies you need and then hire you to do the work to replace it for us.
Thanks
Hi There,
I recently purchased a house that had been 'flipped'. The contractor installed a drop in style sub (no lip around the top) and then tiled the walls to it and did not silicone any corners. Now all of the corners have opened up and water pours down the wall and straight into the basement. What would be the cost of installing the proper style tub (deep) and re-tiling the walls? Not sure if only the bottom row of tile needs to come off and the new tiles can be tied in or not?
The used house sales person suggested removing only the bottom row of tile and installing a flimsy flashing that seals to the tub and provides a lip for the new tile to be installed over, is this an acceptable repair?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Just bought an apartment condo looking to replace tub with shower. Remove old tub. Install new 60" schluter base and drain system, rough in shower/tub controls and plumbing, union for slide bar/shower wand and rain head, possible seat, install densheild tile backer board and seal all joints with schluter waterproof membrane, create niche (for shampoo). Condo Board requires all contractors must have have a City of Calgary business license, insurance and WCB.
I can supply a contractor who will do the tiling.
I need a contractor to replace a standard tub in my bathroom. The bathtub is surounded on three sides and is a standard size. the contractor will have to remove one or two rows of 12"X12" tile around the tub to remove the tub. I would also like to change the guts of the taps for the shower (while the tile is off). The contractor is also asked to insert the new tub and re-tile to match the existing tub. The Town house is located in Braeside and was built in the mid 70s.
- demolition and removal of existing shower wall, cement shower basetile, drywall, curb.
- supply and install dry wall and cement wall (leak proof)
- install swamstone shower pan and shower wall (supplied by owner)
- relocate the shower controls, supply and install posi-temperature shower control
- move the exiting water closet
- replace zone 1 exhaust fan
- install a light fitting and switch, top of the shower
- floor tiles extension as required
I have purchased a new place and would like to replace the shower systems. The work includes replacing the existing valves and then installing finishing components. One of the showers will have separate on/off and temperature control. Both shower walls are tiled or have drywall access behind them.
Existing - Danze
New - Delta, Pfister or Riobel
Had a tenant that didn't inform me of a hot water leak in the shower, leaked behind the drywall, shower head won't mount. Smells moldy. Looking to get a quote on the following:
-full shower and tile replacement
-separate quote that would include a ceiling replacement
Pictures attached below
Shower is leaking and has caused minor water damage to main floor ceiling. I have had a plumber come out and inspect the plumbing, including cutting access holes in the ceiling. There are no issues with the plumbing, but we identified water coming through the shower sub-floor. Water must be getting through the shower floor or tiles/grout? Likely that there is moisture behind the tiles/beneath the shower floor. I believe we will need to replace some of the tiles and the shower floor and reseal everything.

-supply and install new drywall, sand, mud, paint.
Looking to remodel the bathroom in our store.

Measurements of the room is 5 ft x 5 ft approx.

I need a few things done. First A jacuzzi tub will be installed in the master ensuite. Some cabinetry work may be required as vanity shelf currently extends over intended tub location. Also, in the living room I would like to extnd the hardwood that is currently in the kitchen. Approx 14'x19'. The carpet that is torn up, I would like installed on the stairs to the basement. The basement was developed by the former owner and is in need of some small repairs as well. I take posession in the last week of August and would like all work completed in 7 days or less if possible.
I'm looking for a contractor to renovate my basement steam shower. The shower was originally installed when the house was built in 2001 and I'm having a problem with water leaking under the carpet in my basement. I am not sure if the leak is due to cracks that have formed in the tiling or some other cause. Either way, I would like to replace the tile and possibly put in new dry wall that is sealed properly for a steam shower (not sure if this is currently the case). Once the tile is removed I would like a plumber to assess whether there is a plumbing issue that is causing the leaks. The shower has dual shower heads (one on either wall) and the show is approx. 6 ft by 3 ft with a tiled bench on one end. The base of the shower is currently plastic and I am considering changing to a cement base. I would like to have a contractor inspect the project site and provide an estimate of what the job will cost. Thanks.
