I have an 8 X 9 bathroom where I need to have plumbing and tile work completed. The bathroom is being converted from a smaller, standard bathroom to a large, wheelchair accessible bathroom. I have ALS and have gone into a wheelchair over the last year, so I need these changes.
We have taken out the old bathroom and fixtures with the exception of the toilet. The walls are open and the current plumbing is accessible. We need an additional line run for a second shower set. Then we need the floor tiled and the wall tiled for the new "wet room" area.
We will be installing the new toilet and counter, along with the new sink. However we are open to suggestions and ideas for these elements.
I am upgrading my mainfloor bathroom, it is about 200 sqare feet. The house was built in 1980. I would like to do an entire gut and maybe even take out a wall to make it bigger if my budget allows. If I cant do the whole thing I would at least like all 4 fixtures replaced, floor redone, walls repainted and baseboards replaced. Could I get a few quotes from companies who specialize in bathroom renos. I'm looking for the best quality with the best value.
My name is Tanya,
Thanks
Fix a leak from the shower, including any damage caused by this. Replace the tub/shower, glass tub door, remove tile, vanity/sink, toilet and flooring. Install new cabinet above toilet.
approx 48 sq ft
acrylic tub/shower (insert/full piece) instead of tile
Vanity to include drawer and shelves
Flooring - replace lino with tile or new lino
Main floor bathroom approx 8x 5 1/2ft. Install glass shower with new tile work throughout bathroom. No custom cabinetry/vanity needed. Need venting installed through roof (no attic in home), and replace window inside shower area. Current electric and plumbing does not need reconfiguring, but ?may need updating?
Home is 1962 brick bungalow in Brentwood neighborhood of Calgary.
Only bathroom in inner-city, 1920s house, ~6' x 8'. Needs complete gutting (including replacement of at least one wall). Would prefer modern/contemporary design, claw-foot tub, more storage in vanity, working within limited space. Potential to expand slightly by knocking out shelving outside bathroom.
Given only bathroom in house, would prefer if work could be completed in relatively expedient manner. Willing to help with demo and general labour required in order to bring down costs.
Want the old tup removed and have new tup put in, Remove ceramic tile and put in new tile
Have new shower doors-put tile on bathroom floor, replace fans in 3 bathrooms
I another bathroom, remove tile around soaker tub and replace with new tile, refinish soaker tub
replace toiles in 3 bathrooms
House was built in 1982
- Completely renovate both original bathrooms in house built in 1969 - 1 full bathroom and 1/2 bathroom
- Includes replacing drywall, ceiling, floors, fixtures, bathtub (with jaccuzi tub if possible), toilets, light fixtures, fan (needs to vented to roof), etc.
- replace bathroom doors
- would like quality materials (tile/slate/etc. floors, granite counter tops or similar) - low maintenance
main bathroom - 8.5' X 5' (definitely needs walls and ceiling replaced
1/2 bathroom - 5' X 4.5' (may not need walls replaced)
We want to renovate our downstairs bathroom which is 30 square ft . We want to keep costs down so we are doing demo work and we will be purchasing the tub, toilet, sink and hardware ourselves. we are looking at using a tub surround and linoleum flooring. the house is 33+ years old.
10` x 14` bathroom in an older condominium in Calgary, current bathroom is about thirty years old with all of the original plumbing.
Will need a new shower, floor and wall tiling, toilet, and some minor drywall repairs.
Looking to do this fairly cheaply in order to sell the unit afterwards.
I need to replace the tub, and would like to do new tile walls tub to ceiling. (3 walls tub to ceiling and walls are 8 feet high)
I have the sink cabinet, and bank of drawers - which need to be built. In line with them I want a floor to ceiling towel cabinet built the depth of my sink and drawer cabinet. (I have the two doors that will need to be installed on this towel cabinet.)
I want the toilet replaced, and the floor tiled. There is currently nothing on the floor - I removed the lino and there is no subfloor down. (60" X 54").
I have all the hardware, for the bathroom. Also, have installed a new light fixture, which I will keep.
Have installed a new door which will remain.
Access is good the; plumbing and electrical are easily ccessible from the basement mechanical room which is unfinished.
I will do all of the painting required. would like to do this in stages if possible?
All responses are appreciated,
MDG
We have a 5x8 bathroom that needs to be totally gutted (walls, roof scraped and new drywall installed, new floor) and then everything put back in - Tile tub surround, soaker tub, new toilet, new vanity, new medicine cabinet, lighting, tile flooring, door, fan, GFI and towel rods (as well as shower and sink fixtures)
We don't have a ton of money and are looking for competitive quotes that are quality work.
1959 home in need of a new bathroom....
Bathroom is 9' x 5'. I've purchased all of the materials (all the fun stuff anyways) with the exception of the drywall. The whole bathroom needs to redone.
Reno would include:
Demo (I can do this if required)
Light switch needs to be moved
New door put in (pre hung door)
Installation of all the things a bathroom requires to function - bathtub, shower head, tile, toilette, flooring, vanity etc.
Our half duplex was built in 1978, and the upstairs bathroom has never been updated. The total bathroom space is 75" x 92". We want to gut the place (we will do the demolition ourselves), and ensure no mold is lurking behind the walls. Then, fill in fresh insulation, florbads, and drywall.
We're e keeping the same basic layout, but want to change the old steel 60"x30" tub for a new Jacuzzi (60"x32") - no wiring is in place for the tub. We'll keep the toilet (It's only a couple years old), but put in a new, smaller, vanity.
We've already purchased the vanity, as well as the tile for the floors and walls, thinset, grout, etc. Floors will be black 6"x20" tile, while walls will be white 8"x8" ceramic tile. We also have a bunch of grey and white rock border strips (1.5"x12") that we would like to use somehow, but not sure what design.
There's a window on the wall at the foot of the tub which will not be replaced. No fan either.
There's a weird litlle 'closet' nook at the other end of the tub. The tub is against the 75" wall, wwith the head end against the outside wall. The drain end is against a little wall that contains the shower plumbing. Between the little wall and the actual bathroom wall, there is some pipe work that cannot be moved, and a little shelving space built in in front of that. I'm not tied to keeping shelves there, but want to make sure the space is not wasted.
House is in the northeast of Calgary. I would want this renovation to occur this year, preferably in around September. Not looking for the most fancy contractor out there, just someone who can get the job done with decent quality at a decent price.
Please excuse the typos - my keyboard is malfunctioning.
We have removed all fixtures from our basement bathroom expect the toilet. We have also removed the drywall. We have purchased a corner shower stall and a vanity. We need a plumber to re-pipe the plumbing. The corner shower stall is going where the sink was and the vanity/sink is going where the tub and shower were. We also need to have the toilet turned and the shower stall and vanity/sink installed. Also a ceiling fan and ceiling light need to be installed and the walls drywalled and finished.

2 bathrooms / shared wall.
First (master) Bathroom - full replacement of shower and wall board, plumbing, sink, vanity, flooring, fan, tiling, removal of ceiling stipling and painting of ceiling and walls. Considering moving of one wall to allow for tub/shower combo (maybe soaker jetted tub if space allows), possible electrical work as well to move outlet and two sets of light switches. Repainting of bedroom once wall is moved (possibly only partial repaint) Currently L Shaped approx 8' by 5.5' and the corner lost is 40" x 36".
Second bathroom - replace wall board, tile, plumbing, shower head, flooring, vanity and sink. Repaint ceiling. There is an exterior window in the tub/shower area that will likely need replacing somehow. 8' X 5' overall dimensions of this space.
This house was built in the mid 70s and may have been a show home. No priming of the drywall was completed prior to ceilings being stippled. There is mold in the master shower and the grouting is crumbling. Low flow toilets were installed in both bathrooms approximately 4 years ago and toilets do not need replacing. New subfloors will likely be required.
I am looking to renovate my bathroom.
There is some damage to the tile in the shower and the drywall behind it due to a leak issue (which has now been fixed) So that need replacing. I would also like to replace the tub itself. I have brand new shower/tub fixtures and a brand new valve in the shower so those do not need replacing.
I may also be interested in re-tiling the floor (aprox 60 sq ft) and replacing the sink, toilet and countertop, if i can make it work within my budget.
I look forward to discussing further.
Thanks,
Lindsay
I have a small bathroom that needs a complete renovation. Tub and vanity will have to come out. Some of the flooring will need to be replaced as well as some of the walls, or at least the tiling on the walls. I would like a good continuous running fan installed. It is a pretty busy bathroom and probably should have shower doors installed. The ceiling is stippled that I think should be scraped of and painted.
My house is 13 years old. The bathroom is on the main floor and has a vanity (oak with the counter top going behind the toilet as well). The mirror is a full wall mirror. I would like to replace the vanity with either a pedestal sink or a newer vanity (not a wrap around counter top), replace the toilet, and put up a new mirror (not full wall). Obviously taking the mirror and vanity off will create a need for repairing the wall & re-painting. Can you please let me know what kind of cost it would be for that renovation. I live in Calgary. Thank you.

Looking to start a bathroom reno - needs updating. New tub enclosure (tile) new flooring, new countertop, new toilet etc. Mainly cosmetic project with no new additions or complete rebuilds. Wanting to discuss cost and timing. Potential to do more work in our home if the process goes well as we have a number of updates and possible remodels to do.
We want to start with a smaller scale project and find someone we are comfortable in doing more work with.
Please let us know if you are interested and when we could meet to discuss the project.
Thank you.
