We have a moisture problem in our bathroom (due to a lack of a bathroom fan - which we might also be interested in getting a quote on). When we bought the house we were told by the house inspector that there was water behind the bathroom tub - not much, like it could wait a year or two before coming a larger problem, but it was there. We have intended to get this fixed within this year.
However, some of the paint in our walls is now blistering - and we are afraid there maybe mould problems. Thinking is that the drywall in the bathroom (probably all of it at this point), will have to be replaced, so we might as well get the drywall behind the bathroom tub done at the same time, and replace the tiles as well. We are looking for a quote on this, as well as a quote for a bathroom fan ASAP.
As I was trying to replace the face plates on my shower and fix a leak, I in turn broke the nipple for the tub spout flush with the wall.
What the real problem is,is that I have cultured marble on the wall and I need the copper tubing behind the marble to be repaired.I need a contractor that can remove the marble(hopefully without breaking it) fix the pipes and then replace the marble. The piece of marble is roughly 3'x5' in size.
There is the possibility of going through the kitchen cabinet to fix the pipe but maybe just as much work as taking the marble off.
It would be easier to show the problem in person but this what we are looking for.
Thank you

I have a bungalow from 1976 and wish to replace the bathtub and install a deep tub instead (if possible), or just a new one in its place. The location of the bathroom is on the main floor immediately above the downstairs bathroom (which I will consider also redoing for the right price). Both bathrooms are immediately adjacent to the open/unfinished mechanical room (with all the exposed plumbing in it).
I understand that the plumbing wall will need to be torn out and rebuilt and tiles applied afterwards. The rest of the bathroom will be finished by me.
Thank you,
Margaret
A leaking window has resulted in demolition of a portion of a my bathtub surround (~ 20 square feet). The surround is constructed of fairly large subway tile. I have attached a photograph.
I have some leftover tile from the original job but not enough for full coverage. I also have the grout and sealer. I am in the process of ordering a solid surface window sill. I do not have mastic.
I work from home so can accommodate fairly short notice if you are looking to squeeze this small job in between other jobs.
Bathtub wall and tiles were replaced 10 months ago but there is seeping going on. I've pulled a few tiles off and there is dampness behind the tiles. A water resistance drywall was used. It is crumbly. I need a guaranteed workmanship to remove about 1/4 of the tiles and redo.
Thanks,
Edie
I live in a mobile home and am looking into redoing my bathtub/shower walls. There is a window on the main wall and the framing is separating from the wall. There is presumably water seeping in and the tiles will need replaced. I am unsure how much damage the wall may have. We are on a fixed budget and are getting quotes to see if/how soon we can get this work done.
We will also be looking into replacing the carpet in the living room. We do not know if it will be a simple replacement or if the floor is damaged. It is original carpet from 1976.
My main issue is that I am ill and that mold may be contributing to the cause. That is why these two items are the main focus of the renovations we require.
I hope to hear from you.

We need to rip out the stand-up shower and install a tub and surround. Plumbing will need to be moved slightly, and drywall may need to be replaced. A ventalation fan should be installed. The suite is fully developed (in the 70'2 and 90's), but is currently vacant.
Please call me if you can come in for a quote. NE Calgary.

Hello,
We are looking to install a bathroom in an unfinished basement. It would be where the washer and dryer are now, so hopefully existing water lines etc. can be used. The house was built in 1950. The space we have to work with is approx. 10x9 ft, but we still need to keep the laundry machine in that area as well.
Looking to get the following done in an upstairs bathroom:
- Removal of large jetted soaker tub
- Installation of claw foot bathtub (we will provide tub)
- Installation of new vanity (we will provide vanity)
- Removal of old tile flooring and installation of new tile flooring
- Extension of standing shower and glass door installed
Please send estimates.
Thanks,
-Luke
I am looking for someone to complete a new endnote bathroom in Calgary. I am looking to have tiled shower built measuring 38" x 60" enclosed by walls on 3 sides. The entire bathroom measure 11feet x 5 feet including the shower area and am looking for the bathroom to also be tiled. Currently this room is on the 2nd floor on plywood.
I also have a half bath that will also need to be tiled as well as an entry way that measures roughly 5 feet by 12 feet.
If I could get a rough estimate for the cement shower pan as well as the labour for the tile work that would be great.
Thanks.
I am moving into a small condo which has a small bathroom. It only has a bathtub and I need a walk-in
shower due to mobility issues. I am hoping someone can help me and be able to change the bathtub
for a walk in shower in the same space as the tub is now. The bath is a regular bathtub in size and shape.
There is a shower in there too.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated
Sincerely
Jean
We currently have a finished basement that consists of three main areas - TV lounge area, furnace room, and wet bar area with storage closet. There is a lot of wasted space, and with our expanding family, we need to squeeze the most of out of every last square inch of our home.
Here is a list of the things we require:
1. Replace current bay window in kitchen with a French patio door, add exterior lighting on either side of new door.
2. Stack washer and dryer located in closet off of the back door, use remaining space to build in a functioning closet to hang coats, store shoes, mitts, etc. Requires moving the dryer vent and adding a rod for hanging clothing, shelves, etc.
3. Completely gut basement, create the following: guest bedroom, full bathroom, TV lounge room, built-in office area, kids play area, install tankless hot water heater to reduce size of current furnace room, replace current gas stove with a mantle-style fireplace to save space, ...
4. Possible Jack and Jill Bathroom in kids' rooms (?). Not sure if this is possible given the space.
We need a complete renovation of a small bathroom in a 1912 character house. It was last redone probably about 20 or 30 years ago. We discovered a leak in the shower and tub area which leaked down to the floor below. This is what has motivated us to just go ahead and redo the whole bathroom. The leak will need to be fixed, and we are wanting to re-tile everything and put in a new tub with shower enclosure as well as get a new vanity, sink and mirror. The drywall may need to be replaced in areas where existing tile will be removed.
We will probably buy most of the materials ourselves and are willing to do some of the demo as well to save on some cost. We need this completed as soon as possible as it's our only bathroom and is currently not fully functioning. We our looking for quality work, but would like to keep costs down where possible.
I would like to have a bathroom (shower, toilet, vanity) created in a basement room that is currently my laundry room. The end result would ideally be that the space contains both the bathroom and laundry facilities. The space measures 8' X 9'. The house is about 30 years old. It is a townhouse in a condominium complex. I would prefer contractors who will come and have a look before giving a quote. Serious contractors only please. Thanks.
