The house is a bungalow from the fifties that needs a new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring and an added ensuite. We want carpet in the bedrooms, to extend the existing hardwood into the kitchen, and tile flooring for the entrance ways and bathrooms. The house has a new roof and windows so that is all good but we do need to move one window and add a window to where the ensuite will go.
I need a wardrobe-style cabinet to fit in the gap between 2 closets in the master bedroom. The space is 29 inches wide and 28.375 inches deep. The height is from floor to ceiling, so 8ft.
I would like for the cabinet to be installed in 2 pieces because 2 narrow sets of stairs will have to be climbed in order to install.
The bottom section of the cabinet will be 5 drawers to a height of about 4 feet, the top section will be 2 doors that open up to simple shelves. The kickboard below the drawers should match the height of the baseboards which is 4inches.The finish needs to be plain white but I would like simple millwork on the doors to match the millwork on my closet doors.
I am open to modifications and suggestions for this project. Also the timing is very flexible, it could be as soon as next week or a few months from now.
I would like to request quotes for the following:
See attached picture. I would like to replicate this design (without the window) with a 4 space unit. In addition to this I would like to include cupboards with doors at the top that will go up to ceiling height. I would also like to incorporate a small cupboard (12"-ish) from floor to ceiling with a doors similar to those above the unit on the left side of the unit.
Seating should be wood stained and not white.
My dimensions is as follow:
Floor to ceiling - 93"
with of the space - 71"
seating depth - 18"
If you have questions, please e-mail me.
I would like to get
1) A fixed all in quote (material, labour and installation)
2) Construction time line estimate after acceptance of quote
3) References for projects completed in the last 6 months.
Thanks,
Patricia
We had a flood and had some cabinets on order. We got partly done and then the contractor bailed on us.
We need to finish one wall and have a second wall built from scratch. This isn't overly complicated work but we do want it done correctly and to a schedule that we can count on.
We are flexible for start and end times and even the materials. We have plans and ideas and are open to your ideas too. This could be very cool work for you to use in 'before and after' photos.
I had my 1980s oak kitchen cabinets painted, and would like to install hidden hinges. I have yet to find someone who can find me the right hinges to do this... the issue is the depth of boring holes in the existing cabinet doors, and the face frame hinges required for the cabinets. If you have done this before I would love to hear from you. Blum sales reps claim their hinges will work, but I cannot find a carpenter who has done this before.
Thank you!!!!
New kitchen cabinets to be installed. We would like the lowest cost possible for nice looking dark brown cabinets. Removal of existing cabinets will be done by ourselves:
From wall to wall there is a run of approximately 152" with a sink. Will need upper cabinets and the window in the center is approximately 48" wide.
On the shorter length of this "L" shaped kitchen the run (wall to open side) is approximately 90". This piece has a cook-top.
Here's what it basically looks like.

We will need these cabinets in about one month.
I would like to do three things:
1. Reinstall the cabinet and top molding over the fridge. This was taken down to allow for a taller fridge and needs to be raised by 1 1/2".
2. I would like to install a wall mounted microwave over the stove. To do this I need to remove the existing range hood and switch the cabinet over the range hood with the cabinet that is presently over the microwave (the microwave is in a mcirowave shelf. This will allow more height between the top of the stove and the bottom of the upper cabinet for the wall mounted microwave.
3. Lower and reinstall the microwave shelf under the newly installed cabinet.
This house was built in 1996. I would like to use/reuse all exisitng cabinets.
Renovations in kitchen and changes in design have left some holes for cabinets. Existing cabinets are 15+ years old and there is nothing I can find that matches them perfectly. Looking for four doors to be built to match existing doors. Not wanting to change out all the cabinetry as we recently stripped and restained them all and these are matched throughout the house.
Doors requried are 2x 13 7/16 x 29 1/2 (canadian metric doors) and 2x 15x12 (above above stop microwave).
These are oak doors with a raised panel insert and rounded edges exterior. I can provide pictures or samples. On top of this I would also need on cabinet made up for the two larger doors.

We would need someone with a lot of experience in installing kitchen cabinets. Our product is made out of town, ( CALGARY ) and we are not interested in installing. And we might have more work with this person. Looking for someone I could always call and depend on. Wondering what the rates are.

I am looking for a contractor to install 2 base cabinets and 2 wall cabinets in our laundry room (pre-assembled cabinets to be purchased from "Cabinet Solutions" to match cabinets throughout our home)
The 2 base cabinets will be installed under an existing countertop - sizes are 30 x 30 and 30 x 27
The 2 wall cabinets will also be 30 x 30 and 30 x 27
Estimated budget is for installation only (not cost of cabinets)
Would like to keep present cabinets as is except for a couple of minor changes that is changing a couple of doors to drawers with new cupboard doors as in accompanying picture. Anyone out there with this kind of skill. Thinking of painting existing cupboards in black & new doors in a grey metallic color.
Renovating a 7 yrs. old open office area office (appr -100 sq. ft.), enclosing it. Under cabinets in an office require replacing of cabinets, more than likely requiring to replace them metal file cabinets. add upper cabinets to match remaining lower cabinets, beech colour and an enclosure /open type opening ( shutter/ blind), and a door. some electical to be moved.. may also require added cabinets for kitchen, potentially reuse existing cabinets removed from office with modifications and sides added.
We have an oddly shaped Bathroom Vanity that has been causing me grief for a while now. I would like to have it rebuilt and replaced. It is 27 3/4 in wide, 22 in deep, 30 in tall (and 7 1/2 in off the floor). There is a heater that is 1 3/8 in away from the wall right where the vanity is as well, so it needs to be built off the floor.
We have a basic drywall kitchen island with a raised eating bar. We would like the island refinished with wood paneling and accent mouldings to make it look like an attractive piece of furniture. We also want the island to be all one level so would like to get rid of the raised eating bar. Currently the raised bar is 14" wide which makes it too small to really be functional. The island is shaped sort of like an angled horseshoe with the double kitchen sink (31") in the center and the 2 side arms of the horseshoe facing into the rest of the kitchen. Beneath the kitchen sink are 2 cupboards with maple doors. The island is 35" high and it's 22 linear feet around it (excluding the opening for the dishwasher).
I was just looking to find someone to come out and take a look at what we are going to need done. We already have cabinets put up by our coffee station. We are going to be getting a new coffeee maker and it is larger then the old. With this happening the cupboards are too low. We are going to need someone to come in and take away the necessary cabinet space and somehow make a frame around the new maker. I was looking for a free estimate and a yes we can do this or a no we cant answer.
Unfortunately i dont have any more info as i have just been asked to call around, I dont have specific details. If someone could please get back to me I would appreciate it greatly and then I can get more of the needed info.
