We are selling our home, and the house inspection revealed that the exhaust duct from the bathroom fan is just sitting on the attic floor, and needs to be routed to the roof. Contacted my condo company and found that this is our responsibility to fix. They have authorized us to proceed with the repair as long as the contractor we use is bonded, with WBC and 1 million dollar liability. Would like to have this done ASAP. Please call me with a quote.
Our house is 30 + years old and we would like to have the main bathroom fan replaced. I have the new fan that i purchased. It should fit the opening, approximatelt 8 1/2 8/1/2 ??. I was going to do it myself , but i think it is attached to the joist in the attic., and i really don't want to start fooling around with that kind off repair/replacement. it is the old 3inch duct, and the new fan is a 4inch. I have a reducer 4" to 3 ".
I hope there is some one that would be able to help us get the job done. It would be much appreciated.
I thank you in advance for any help you can provide,
Harvey
I have 2 bathrooms. The CFM is maybe 50 per fan. And I have condensation running down the wall. So, both fans need to be replaced with higher CFM with a medium to low Sone. Also need the exhaust pipe leading to the roof changed out per bathroom, from a standard pipe to a L shape pipe, as there is ceiling damage.
Going into the attic is a requirement. Age of townhouse - 1996.
I just purchased a home 1952 ..... I want to have the bathroom gutted and as well I want to have the house rewired . Depending on the cost of the bathroom and wiring I amy decide on doing the kitchen as well . The home is only 900sq feet . I want to have it done with class and perfection . If anyone is interested in taking on a small older home .
Our two upstairs bathroom both have vents but are not sufficient for the job and are very noisy. We have had to remove mold build up in one bathroom and now use a dehumidifier along with the fan to prevent mold again. It is also very noisy when in use or when windy outside so it was suggested that there may not be a tight connection in the attic to the vent in the roof and that we may need to upgrade the fans so they are more efficient and then we can remove the dehumidifier from the bathroom.
Company is a manufacturing facility with the offices in the front main level and upstairs. There is a large manufacturing area with a lunchroom and a mezzennene. Out buildings consist of a quonset hut and a tent. I would like sniffers and sirenes installed if the price is not too expensive. Right now we use our intercom and air horns and we have places that these may not be enough. Last 2 drills the employees in the quonset did not here the notification to evacuate.
We have secured the Canadian distribution rights for Sanidoor. Sanidoor is a patented touch free swinging door system, serving as the final link in the chain for the total touch-free washroom experience. We will be selling the product to various markets across Canada through a sales force that will not be tasked with the physical installation of the units, establishing a relationship with installers is the purpose of this RFQ.
Installation includes:
* Basic Electrical: The Sanidoor unit needs to be connected to a standard electrical outlet (may have to be installed) or be hardwired.
* Basic Install: Installation manual calls for use of No. 2 & No. 3 Phillips head screwdriver, 3/16€ Drill bit for mounting hole pilots, Metric Allen Wrench set, standard pereonal protective equipment and other minor materials. Wires will need to be fished from the top of the door frame to the actuator mounted on the wall approximately 4' away.
* Finishing work: Units will be installed in both washrooms and major throughways. Contractor will have to provide proof of experience with drywall, tile, stone, brick, concrete, metal, wood, and marble as job may require installation on any of those walls previously mentioned.
* Startup Calibration: Simple data entry into digital display on unit to confirm door swing speed, and other options. Contractor will have complete access to the product design engineer for questions and will have a complete product training session.
Additional Information:
* Interested in receiving hourly charge and piece work volume discounts if applicable.
* Please include any information pertaining to territory coverage if your company has provincewide/nationwide coverage.
* Please advise of any clearance documents you and/or your workers have that may simplify projects requirements (i.e. security clearance documents for Federal government work, etc.).
I recently bought a 1953 built home. Insurance company is requiring me to upgrade the electrical installation to maintain the insurance alive within the next 4 weeks.
Distribution panel has 100 amps main breaker, some of the wiring is aluminum and part of the house is not gounded.
I need a certified electrical technician to perform a professional inspection and the necessary upgrades to bring the installation up to code, providing a final report certifying the house meets code 100%.
Our home is in Shawnessy in Calgary.-a small bungalow- less than 900 sqare feet. The house was built in 1983. The upstairs bathroom never had an exhaust fan in it. We had Arpis Industries install the fan - do the venting through the attic and roof, etc.. It is completely ready to have the electrical hooked up.There is enough wire in place to do the job. It just has to be changed from a one switch to a two switch receptacle. My wife's father is a retired electrician who was visiting us from Vancouver where he lives. He looked at the job for us. He said Arpis has done a very good job and the electrical portion of the job is very straight forward and ready to go . There is easy access to the attic. It would be preferable for us if you could please give us an approximate quote via this site. Then we could call you for a date that is convenient for both of us to have you come out and do the work. If you have any questions regarding the job, don't hesitate to ask. Note that we would like the job done as soon as possible.
Thank You,
Scott /Joanne

Looking to have someone start around the 11th-12th of May once the garage has been framed.
Please get back to me with some prices as soon as possible.

We are trying to suite our basement. The basement is already finished. We need some plumbing and electrical done in the laundry room in order to convert it into a kitchen. Some plumbing and electrical done on the main floor in order to put in a washer and dryer. And wall put up to separate entrances.
Sometimes the electricity in one area of the house goes out, but the breaker is not "broken". To fix it we figured out that we have to "jiggle" an electrical outlet outside our house (nowhere near the area that is broken inside the house). It's happened several times now, and the jiggling works every time, but it's annoying.
Need an electrician to provide and estimate on electrical work for a basement development. The basement is about 1000 square feet with one bedroom, a bathroom, main living area and then a storage room. I have a plan that you can work off to provide me with an accurate estimate. We take possession of the house in May of 2018 and would like to get going as soon as possible.
We have two older electrical panels in our new-to-us house that need to be updated and preferably combined into one panel. Also, the line running from the house to the garage needs to be replaced as the coating on the line is cracked and peeling off. The home inspector suspects that the line used was not meant for outdoors.
Have wired in Natural gas overhead heater in garage, was running and tuned for roughly 10 mins. Went to double check heater startup and now blows out fuse in garage and all the way back to main fusebox in house? Am sure something wired incorrectly or possibly wrong fuse?? Would like to get this checked and corrected by someone who is certified.
I need to have my aluminum wiring in my house looked at and all recepticles and switches to be removed and possibly spliced as well as all light fixtures. Tamper resistant recepticles would be nice to have installed as well as while taking down light fixtures to put some new up. Looking for a quote I have a 1550 sqft bungalow.
Thanks
