Have wired in Natural gas overhead heater in garage, was running and tuned for roughly 10 mins. Went to double check heater startup and now blows out fuse in garage and all the way back to main fusebox in house? Am sure something wired incorrectly or possibly wrong fuse?? Would like to get this checked and corrected by someone who is certified.
I need to have my aluminum wiring in my house looked at and all recepticles and switches to be removed and possibly spliced as well as all light fixtures. Tamper resistant recepticles would be nice to have installed as well as while taking down light fixtures to put some new up. Looking for a quote I have a 1550 sqft bungalow.
Thanks

I have a house built in 1973 a 1550 sqft bungalow in cedarbrae that I just purchased and it has 100 amp breaker box with half copper non metallic sheathed and half aluminum non metallic sheathed, I am wondering how much it would cost to change it all to copper and if there are any insurance companies you are recommending for house insurance.
House built in 1969. Would like a electrician to come in and have a look at my breaker box. I need to have my dishwasher connected to the breaker box properly. Right now it is just connected by an extention cord down to the basement, which I believe is not properly done by the City standards. I am getting a new dishwasher on Tue. and I need to have the wiring set up by then.
I also need the electrician to purchase a permit from the City of Calgary. I would like to receive a quote A.S.A.P. I am on Medical Leave right now so I have no cash money and I need to pay for the work with my visa.
Install two electrical outlets in unfinished basement of a duplex exposed ceiling and panel box
Put electrical outlet in one room and in other room or area of basement
Not a big area but we are needing electrical outlets installed to code as it will my children's playroom so it needs to be safe
The other area will be spare bedroom
Nd crafting sewing area
I need this done before Christmas
Currently there are light switches and lighting
Only power outlet is near laundry area washing machine and dryer
I have lost power to a basement bedroom and suspect a short in the wiring. I am looking for quotes to rewire or otherwise fix this problem. At times when other breakers were turned off the light would come on but then it would go out if a light on another breaker circuit was turned on. I would like the repairs to be completed before Thursday Evening (Sept 1) if possible and would be happy to assist the electrician to help reduce costs.
I understand exact quotes may not be possible but could let me know cost if repair takes less than 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours
hourly rate with min cost and or cost to completely rewire this one room or several rooms or the entire house. Also please include how long you believe this repair will take.
Thanks

Electricity for heat mats to be installed under tile.
We require a 110V line from the main panel (in the basement) to the main floor entrance area of the house and a 220V line from the main panel to the main floor kitchen area of the house. The lines will power heat-mats which will be installed under tile.
The panel is in the unfinished and open basement. Are you available for this job?
Thanks,
Don K

Hello. We live in Calgary and need a 240 V outlet in our detached garage located across the backyard, 10-12 meters away from the panel in the basement of the house. I'm not sure what am I looking at in terms of costs, so can I get an approximate price range for this type of work before I actually call someone for a quote? Thanks
Hi,
We have a gas line that runs from the gas meter to the corner of the house (toward the backyard) and where there is a new gas tap.
We want to have a gas line that continues from the corner of the house to the backdoor for our BBQ. That is approx. approx 20ft . We need a contractor who can pull permit, install the gas line and get City to do the inspection.
We would like to know if this can be done this week and the approximate cost for this project.
Your answer is greatly appreciated.
Require an electrician who can install an electrical outlet and also add a supportive (and painted) wooden panel/backing to the wall so that we can mount a large-screen tv on that wall with a clean look (wires hidden). This job does not require the mounting of the tv screen itself, only the preparation of the wall that will allow us to mount the tv.
I need to have a GFCI outlet installed in my kitchen by a certified electrician. I also need a crack patched and painted (I have paint). Lastly, I need sealant applied to grout in my shower.
I realize it's a few small jobs. I need this done by a professional who can provide an invoice. My employer is requiring this as part of my relocation.
I have two bungalows with secondary suites. Both bungalows need to have the interconnected and hardwired smoke detectors installed.
Bungalow number 1 is fairly straight forward the electrical panel and everything has good access.
Bungalow 2 has had a two storey addition added to the back of it which makes a third unit. The electrical panel for this propert is locaed in the two storey addition against the back basement wall. This panel is a not that conveniently located and the basement has a finished ceiling.
In bungalow 2 I also need to get an exterior plug on the front of the house installed to plug cars into. There is already an exterior plug on the back of the house perhaps if that was a dedicated circuit we could tap of of here route the wires around the house to the front if the distance was not to great. As well I have a bathroom fan I need to get hooked up to the light switch. Lastly I have a breaker that keeps blowing for the outlets located in the kitchen. Apparently the microwave keeps blowing the breaker.
For both these jobs I will require the electrical contractor to have city electrical permits and inspection.
I am moving to a new home where the door between the garage and house swings outward into the garage. The house I am currently in, has the door swinging inward into the house where I lower a door stop to keep it open which I feel is more practical. I want the door changed to swing inward.
Also, I need an outlet in a room where there is no outlet. On the other side of the wall there is a wall plug in that room. Can I add a plug in into the new room?
Move date is February 15. Painters come on the 17 so if possible I would need it done before the 17 or on the 17-18 before the painter gets to the back entry.
Thanks very much for your time.
Marg
Hello,
I hope everything is going well during this difficult time. I am looking to proceed with a major retrofit of my mechanical room along with certain replacements or repairs throughout my house. As there is a word limit, I can give a rough idea about the project below. Please contact me for any service requests below thank you:

Hello,
We are recently going to acquire a used hot tub from a family friend, and likely transport it to our backyard mid July.
I am looking for trusted electricians to help with the installation and planning aspect. In addition, we are looking for companies that can help transport the hot tub from the NW of Calgary, to the SW.
I am the property owner.
Barbara
The hot tub is located in the backyard of our new house, built in Oct. 2007, in Coventry Hills. We need the breaker and wiring from the electrical panel to the hot tub. Total electrical wire would probably be 75 feet, of which there is 14 feet from the exterior of the house to the hot tub. The hot tub was built in early 2007.
I would like to get a free quote for:
1) Separate system for my basement and the main floor so I can develop a basement suite.
The basement is undeveloped and has some framing up, but it already has the ducts located in the basement. It was extended to be 12inches off the foundation. The only issue is that it is connected to the same furnace.
I would like to separate the ducts and have another furnace installed.
The house was built in 1965 with no asbestos. The basement is 850sq.ft and we would like to choose a smaller furnace if possible.
2) Run a gas line to my upstairs kitchen for a gas stove. The mechanical room with the primary gas line is right underneath the kitchen.
Also, I see two gas lines running outside the backyard, I would confirmation that I can plug a gas BBQ into it.
Please note that you will be required to apply for permits with the City of Calgary, include fees in the quote.
Please provide two separate quotes.
