Hi,
I am looking to replace my fence which is approx 250 feet. It is currently painted wood and quite old. my neighbor also would like her fence replaced which is the same painted old wood. The fence between our properties is rotting and falling over.
I would like the new fence to be wood
Thank you in advance for your time.
Hello,
We need to replace an existing chain link fence with a privacy fence. The chain link fence is presently approximately 4 feet high and the replacement fence needs to a minimum of 6 feet high. We also need a privacy gate made of the same materials and installed. We estimate the length of the fence to be approximately 30 feet long although we haven't yet had a chance to measure it.
In addition, we need some window trims painted and some some painting done on high areas of our home - unreachable by a normal step ladder. There are approximately three large triangles between roof and siding to be painted as well as 7-8 window trims that need painting. Lastly, we need hand rails and a glass outer door painted. This likely needs to be spray painted.
We are happy to invite you to visit our home to conduct a true estimate.
Purchase a new wide chain link steel gate to be installed on a condo storage unit.
Purchase & install a new small chain link section above the gate.
Remove and dispose of the existing solid section that is installed in gate opening area.
Installation of upper section requires a sewer pipe to be accommodated within the section.
Storage cage is located in underground condominium complex in Signal Hill in SW
See attached pictures to clarify above details. Picture of cage with license plates is the section that is to be removed and replaced with new gate and upper panel.
The second picture is for reference only of the type of gate & fencing section that are to be purchased and installed.
Small job that perhaps can be fit into a between other jobs.
I have a very large lot which I am looking to have sodded and fenced ASAP. I am listing this home for sale in the spring so I am looking to keep the budget as reasonable as possible. I have architectural controls in my neighbourhood so my only option is plain 6 foot privacy fence. I would love it if I could find someone reasonable to do the sod ( approx 4000 sq ft) as well but it is not necessary to be the same contractor.
I am looking for nearing to 160 linear feet of fence. I am open with wood or chain link fence. i dont want gate. its rectangular plot.
45 linear feet: 6 feet height wooden fence - highlighted in red.
155 Linear Feet of 2.6 feet height chain link or wooden fence. (Blue)
Refer to the image for more clarity on what I am looking for.
I have already got the fence posts up for a fence along the side of my yard, but am unsure about how to go about the rest of the project. I would like a 6' high treated fence built once the weather clears up. We also a garden at the back of our yard where we would like either a 3' high treated fence or a chain link fence built along appx 20' of our back yard. If interested, please give a second quote for that.
Owner needs to build a fence at the rear of my property in NW Calgary.
No gate required.
Board fence with no trellis on top.
Augured concrete post holes
Length = 80 feet
Height = 6 feet (or maximum height under Calgary by-laws)
Material = preference for Cedar need $Price?
or Material = Pressure treated wood need $price.
Would like this work done immediately.
We can follow up with a visit this week to see if you need to adjust your price.
Regards,
Rob
Hi,
I'm a resident in Calgary, Alberta. Just looking for an online estimates, currently I'm on the planning and budgeting stage. A 2008 single house and my plan is to put up a fence and a deck. Please find the details below.
My backyard fence preference is 6ft. height w/ 3 gates, 1 for pedestrian and 2 for garage doors using pressure treated wood. Estimated lot area, more or less is 26ft. wide and 2 x 80ft. deep. I prefer Bastion type of wood fence w/ 4'x4' post.
For my deck its a 10ft. wide x 18ft deep pressure treated wood w/ aluminum railing (white color). Its less than 2ft or 24 inches off the ground.
Looking forward for your response.
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi, i am a homeowner in Southwood.
I have a 40 year old 4' high picket fence i want to replace with 6' high treated lumber fence.
I want help to remove and replace 14 fence postsalong alley and back side yard between properties.
Existing posts are 4x4 not sure if concreted in but doubt it.
Want to replace with 4x6 treated posts + gravel drainage + 2 bags concrete each.
Optional cost 1: dispose of old fence materials.
Optional cost 2: Add a carport to existing garage.
Carport will require additional 4 posts and will require the relocation of 12' x 24' x 8-12" soil from garden to the back yard along the side yard to level the ground and to top dress the existing grass area. I also will require you to supply and install compacted gravel and or road base to complete interior of the carport.
I will supply all fence post materials and i will build the fence and the carport once new fence posts and the carport posts and base are in place.
I am estimating this to be a 1 or 2 day job at most.
Please arrange time to visit on site or email if you have any questions. I would your portion of this project complete by end of June if possible.
Because of last month wind storm the fence and the gate that goes from the front of the house to the back garden fall down. Its about 8' feet wide plus the gate. It need 2 new posts and 2 rails. The gate is still in good condition so are the 6' boards. We need privacy so that no one can enter our back garden from the front of the house. The other thing is the backyard gate. We find difficulty opening and closing it.
I want to replace deck fence made of lattice, total 10 numbers. Size as below
39" X 64" - 6 numbers
32" X 64" - 4 numbers.
Provide a free quote as lump sum material + labour.
Material purchase and transport to house and removal of old material shall be part of the job.
Location of the house is at Somerset SW Calgary
Two sections of my fence and the gate have fallen apart from the posts etc due to a poplar continuing to grow and push on it. I would like to have these repaired and modified to allow for the tree's continued growth. Each section is approx 7.5 feet wide and 4 feet high. The wood is all relatively fine, but likely 1-2 more new posts may need to be put in. It is being held up by skipping ropes at the moment. Would love a quote and estimated date that work could be done.
Just outside of the inner-city in the NW, a 60's 1/2 duplex yard needs new backyard fence. Lots of period fences in area; don't want a 6' cedar monolith blocking out the light. Additionally, would like to add wide gate to parking pad. 72' in length, 14' across the back (with wide gate) (garage on rest of lot), 5' across the front part of back yard to house (with gate). Rotten old fence has just been taken down so clean slate except for the neighbour's structures which sit on property line at some points and paved parking pad for the posts at the very back. Could do 4' chain link, wrought iron, or period wood fence (5' potentially across back section.)
60 foot long by 7-8 foot high wood fence with one gate (and pergola over gate area.) Pergola needs to be a bit chunky and run 12feet from gate over an existing cement pad. Fence currently runs parallel to house and is about 12 -15 ft. from the house in the gate/cement pad area and then as it continues as the barrier along the street side for the backyard. I did my best, and as I not a landscape person, I hope I was not too confusing.
We wanted the job to run between $5-7000.
Our home is about 5 years old and we would like the gates to match the material that is currently used on the existing 2 style of fences.
The existing chain link is black in colour and we would also like it to match our neighbor's style of gate. The wooden gate on the other side of the yard will need to match the existing basic wood fence.
Thank you,
Trish
We have several projects that we are looking to get a quote on. We are tired of waiting on our insurance company to send someone out to fix this.
Please see list below:
- Cedar fence repairs
- Cedar gate repairs (2 man gates and 1 large double trailer gate)
- Soffat repairs
- Roof repairs (might need an entire new roof)
- Siding repairs
