Kind of an unusual one, bear with me:
Have 7 shipping containers, 40'x8' (320 sq. ft. each) being converted to office/workspace. Want to put Vinyl (sheet vinyl) down.
Actual footage measures slightly less than 320 sq. ft. each (more like 7.5' x 39' inside the walls).
Floors have been previously 'leveled' and sealed with polyurethane garage floor type paint, but looking for something more durable and presentable.
Doesn't need to be anything expensive, just rolled vinyl.
Looking to have it done ASAP. SE Calgary.

I have a variety of finishing work I need done on my house. I have a complete lower level that needs finishing, as well as new wood railing. I also need to install hardwood flooring on 1 floor. Please contact me if you are interested in providing me an estimate. I need the work done right away.
Don K.
I just bought a 2 bedrooms condo.
It was built in 2008.
I want to redo my floor before move in.
Currently, rooms have carpet, living room has laminate on it.
Master Bed Room : 12' X 18' = 216 sq
Second Room : 10' X 13' = 130 sq
Living Room : 20' X 27' = 540 sq
Entire area is about 890 sq ft.
Condo management will allow renovation as long as a minimum of 6 mm cork underlay.
I prefer to put hardwood, but recently I heard engineered laminate is better and durable.
So if you tell me the price difference between Hardwood and Engineered Laminate, that would be great.

Hi,
I am looking for some help replacing old tiles/laminate with laminate.
There is about 880 Sq ft of tiles and laminates with about 135 Sq ft of white tiles shown in 361 pic. The rest is mostly the bluish laminate. with some parts having nothing and showing concrete or the white laminate.
This renovation is time sensitive and should be finished in a day or two towards the end of the first week of April.
Looking for minimum of 5 years of experience who can provide accurate estimates, solve problems and give suggestions.
On the main floor there is nice hardwood, but in the kitchen there is some water damage. For half of the house with the kitchen (~500 square feet), we would like to replace the hardwood with luxury vinyl tile (solid core, drop and lock style).
Some costs we were looking at:
-Cost to remove hardwood
-Cost to install luxury vinyl tile (solid core, drop and lock)
-Cost per appliance (oven, fridge, dishwasher, toilet, sink)
-Cost to potentially replace a portion of the hardwood with some of the good quality removed hardwood in the front room where there is some minor damage
As well, there are a few ventilation things we're interested in getting done if possible:
1) Create a vent from stove-top vent hood to outdoors (currently just vents to cupboard above)
2) Reconnect main floor bathroom vent in attic
3) Adjust master bathroom vent in attic to have a slope to prevent condensation
If you would like to visit the house to do a quote, we can request access from the current owners/renters if we book a few days in advance.
Duplex needs carpets and lino moved and new flooring installed on main floor - guestimate is 900 sq. ft. Replace with lino in kitchen, bathroom and hallway; Living room and possibly bedroom in standard type hardwood.
House built in 1972, renovated flooring in 2001. Living room/dining room are one big room about 25 feet long and say 14 feet wide - this is main hardwood area.
There is a lot of furniture that would have to be moved around.
Hi there,
I take possession of my new condo on Novemebr 15th.
I would like to rip out all of the carpet and replace it with wood flooring.
The unit is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom with tile in the entrance way, kitchen and bathrooms. The unit is about 1000 square feet in total and the non-tile areas are about 600-700.
The kitchen cabinets are a dark formal wood. I am leaning towards a higher-end laminate (single plank).
Hoping for some rough estimates on cost. Also, I will be painting as well if this is something a company wants to include in their quote.
Hello,
Can you give me an estimate on repacing carpet & lino in our livingroom and kitchen with laminate?
Living room 237ft2
Kitchen 194ft2
The house is 30+ year old but in good condition. Our carpet is pretty new but I just want to replace it with laminate.
Could you also let me know how long the project may take?
Want to change to laminate wood from carpet and existing hardwood. Also want to put down tiles in kitchen and bathroom. It's bungalow house. The main floor is 2100 Sq Ft and basement is about 1000 sq ft. We will supply laminate wood and tiles and we can rip the baseboards and existing floors. Want to get quote for labours for putting down laminate wood and tiles.
Thanks!
We are looking to redo our flooring, currently hardwoods in kitchen, dining and hall, carpet on stairs, upstairs and living areas, ceramic in master bath and main bath upstairs. We will be buying wood grain porcelain tile for areas where hardwood and ceramic tile are now and laminate for stairs, and all bedrooms, living areas. Want to also repaint and replace baseboards where required. House is about 2400 square feet, 7 years old so subfloors should be fine, will remove carpets and baseboards ourselves and will purhase materials ourselves.
Painting should be one color, similar to beige taupe that is existing, will do minor repair work in advance
Please provide a ballpark estimate for painting and install and timelines for work. Want to get this all done in August
Thank you
Tara

Hello, I have a smaller project. We are completing a basement renovation and I am looking for a quote to install Karndean Vinyl plank flooring. We have the flooring and it would be laid on concrete. The floor is fairly level but I think it will need a coat of self leveling to even it out completely. The space we have is about 400 square feet with one large living room and a small bedroom. The project would be to level the floor and install the flooring we have. Thank you! I appreciate any responses,
Amber
Hello,
We have just purchased our first home and are looking to replace the floors. Our home is in Cranston and currently has 12 stairs with a landing and 720 sqft of carpet on the second floor and 640 sqft of laminate on the main floor. We are looking to have the stairs carpeted, and have the top and main floor switched to LVP (which we have already picked out).
We are using a purchase plus improvement loan which has been a point of contention for some, but would love to speak with you further and get a quote.
Thank you,
Brittany
Hi there,
We need to replace the living area and kitchen floor into hardwood. It's now covered with carpet and tiles. The total area is 710 sq ft.
We haven't yet got possession of the place so all I am asking for is a rough estimate of how much that would cost us (rip out, wood and labor).
Thanks.
Instal 450 sq. ft. of 2 1/4 " Red Oak Hard wood for kitchen/nook (presently laminate).
living /dinning room (presently carpet) and 12 42"- 48" stairs (presently carpet). This installation would match the existing 150 sq. ft. of 20 year old 2 1/4" Red Oak Hard wood in the hall way (100 sq. ft.) at front entry (50 sq. ft.). Front entry will need to be buffed or refinished. I have been informed that engineered hardwood is not available in 2 1/4" stock.
OR
Install total 650 sq. ft. of 3 1/4" Engineered hardwood for all above mentioned areas and include the 50 sq. ft. of basement landing (presently carpet on concrete).
In addition to the hard wood install ceramic tile in the 1/2 bath main floor (15 sq. ft.) (presently lino) and 60 sq. ft. in the ensuite (presently lino).
