We are finishing the main area of our basement. Our home is 3 years old and we had a bedroom and bathroom finished in the basement when it is built. The areas need to be developed are: the main rec room/media room area, 2 pony walls, and 2 arches. The exterior walls are framed and insulated already, and most of the work required is framing duct work and a few walls. The unfinished portion of the basement to be developed is 600 sq. feet (approximate). We would like the job to be done efficiently with pride and accuracy in mind. We are also looking for someone to put up the drywall, mud, and tape as well with rounded corners.
Hi there, we need our basement framed out. It is a newer home (2007) and is 825 sq feet. It is fairly uncomplicated - just the perimeter plus the furnace room blocked off and a bedroom and bathroom (shared wall). We had a guy from our church lined up who was going to do it on the side, but now he is unable to do it. We were hoping to save money by hiring an individual rather than a company. We do not not on a tight time line. We're just looking for good quality work that is reasonably priced.
I am looking for a quote on a job in my condo. It involves framing, drywall and finish to paint-ready a small expansion of an existing closet in my bedroom. As well as some drywall repair to the ceilings in my bathroom and kitchen, and knock down of the wall between the kitchen and the dining room.
The condo is concrete foundation with steel studs between the units.
We have an eavetrough downspout that discharges onto a house sidewalk. We need a frame built with 4 x 4 uprights and top cross beams attached to the house and possible lattice so that the downspout can be attached to the frame and the rain discharge will go onto the grass rather than the sidewalk. Our house is about 7 years old and we live in NW Calgary.
I would like someone to frame 3 of the 4 walls in my half duplex basement so i can then insulated it. I will provide all the materials once i am advised on what is needed. All i am looking for is a quote on what the labour cost will be. The sq.foot of the entire house is 1000sq ft.
There are two small windows also to be framed in the basement walls.
Framing contractor is needed to install a new roof on an existing fourplex building in Bowness. Existing roof is flat (tar and gravel). New roof will be a stick built rafter system at a 2.5:12 pitch.
Development permit and building permit are in place. Drawings are available.
Contractor is responsible for material take-offs, installation of rafters and associated framing, installation of 5/8" gypsum fire wall within the new roof system, connections to the existing structure, 75 mm wide saw cut around the perimeter of the existing roof to provide ventitation between the existing and new roof, extension of approximately 12 vents to above new roof line, installation of roofing sheathing, clean up and disposal of all waste.
We have to interconnected additions, one a simple rectangle, the other a sunroom.
Need a crew to quote on the job based on plans, and provide timelines, and experience. Will require a little deck install, and structural beams to be installed.
Total sqft is about 800 sqft.
This is Rachel. We are totally overloaded with framing projects and urgently need reliable good quality framers. We have projects in the following areas - Small repair work and warranty framing, Basement framing, Renovation framing, Structural framing, Home additions, Infill homes, Condominium framing, Multifamily framing, Commercial framing, Roof and Truss system, Window and doors exterior, Supply only framing, Install only framing, Supply and install framing, Timber framing and various other projects.
My bedroom door was kicked in when it was locked and the door frame is now shattered and needs to be replaced, also there is a dent on the door but I am not quite sure whether or not I will replace the door as well.
How much will it cost to have just the frame replaced, and how much will it cost to have the frame and the door replaced?
We replaced our roof in the fall and while we were at it, we had a 4'x4' skylight and a sun tunnel installed. I'd now like a quote on finishing the skylight and patching the ceiling around the sun tunnel (my husband tried to install it himself). The sky light will need framing out, cut into our living room ceiling and then drywalled / taped / painted so it blends in with the ceiling. The sun tunnel needs patching - our house is a 1920 (ish) build, so the ceiling is lath and plaster (which I realize adds challenge to the project).
I live in a 3 year old house and I noticed that the hardwood floors on one side of the house slopes down slightly. When I go to the unfinished basement and measure between floor joists where it is sloping, I find that it is not level and slopes down and hence the floors above. I don't how this is occurring, probably bad framing when the house was built. I'm not sure if the best is to take out the hardward and level the floor using some leveling compound or adjusting the joists or maybe some other method. I am afraid that either method will result in the need to replace all the existing hardwood floors.
We are looking to get our basement framed. We already have drawings/plans and have submitted to the city for building permit. There is already pony walls in place. We need approximately 8 partition walls built and framing of a tray ceiling. Looking for a experienced, efficient and punctual framer. Potential for more work available. We like to start ASAP. Materials available on site. Located in NW Calgary.
