I'm looking to build a fence around my back yard, just the 2 sides though as the one off the alley is pretty good, though I would like part of it moved. I would also want a current shed deconstructed and a car port built. The yard part is about 36m x 7.5m (I think, i have no idea how to read my land survey lol but it is a small yard) and the parking area is about 15m x 7.5m... I don't want a concrete pad for the car port, just a roof on some posts (those would be in concrete) basically.
I'm looking for general on-line estimates only, if it becomes too much money I'll just do the fence and not the car port.
Thank you!
Hi, we are in the process of purchasing a home in Calgary, Alberta. The home is built on a slope. In the front the slope is upward, and the back it is downward. We would like to build a garage either on the front or back of the home (whichever is more cost effective). Both types of garages appear to be possible as neighbors on either side have garages on the front and back. Likely the garage would be 20x20 or larger. Budget is a major factor for us, but we would like to get this project done.
Carport Construction Project
We have an area in the SW corner of our property, (the back alley runs along the west side of our property) where we currently park our vehicle. The area is very compacted dirt (very solid surface) with a deliberate gradual slope down to the alley for water runoff.
The area is 21 ft x 20 ft. and bordered by our 6 ft. high cedar fence on the north and east sides.
We would like to build a carport to cover the entire 21 ft. x 20 ft. area that looks like an organic extension of the cedar fence.
thanks,
Mona
We will be tearing down an existing oversized double garage including the existing cement pad. We will be building a new garage and need a new concrete pad done. Size is approximately 800 square feet. Ideally are hoping to use one contractor who can take care of the demolision and haul away of the old building and concrete. Estimated budget is for the entire garage package. Interested in those quotes as well.
It is a 20 ft (wide) x 28 ft (deep) garage. The site condition is basically flat, no cut/fill needed. Single garage door (16 ft) up front and a 3 ft x 6.67 ft door at the back. There are two windows (3 ft x 3 ft); one left side and rear. For more vertical clearance, scissor-type trusses are used. Vinyls are used for sidings and fiberglass 3-tab shingles are for the roofing. No concrete pad yet and it is located in NE, Calgary. I will really appraciate if you could provide a quote.
Thanks.
I'm currently building a new property in Panorama Hills and would like to quote a garage.
Approximate Garage Size:
Width: 6.71 feet
Depth: 6.10 feet
I also need a concrete pad.
Possession date is Nov 30. Please let me know if you also take care of building permits at the City of Calgary and if I can include the building of this garage within my mortage. Also, any details on warranty are welcome.

I would like to get a 20' x 20' garage built this spring/ summer. I am located in Harvest Hills. I will do the existing fence removal and most of the prep work (bush removal and paving stone removal) to save a few $. There is an existing gravel pad 15' x 20' which should also save a little.
Looking for estimate to have a 20 x 20 garage built. Current backyard conditions on garage site: gravel three car parking stall, columnar Aspen trees (approx 10) border along the length of current back fence. I would prefer to not have to remove trees and have garage builder work around them if possible.
Its a relativley small backyard. Would like to build a double garage. Would be required to design, get permits and build.
At the same time build a stone patio. I dont need much input for design in the hardscaping. Wbbould be required to get all materials and construct the design I already have in mind.
Require one contractor who will do both tasks.
Typical small sity lot with house on it and gravel parking pad at back. The backyard goes on to an unpaved alley. The land is fairly flat, very accessible. Its a corner lot, has fences on either siide. There is currently a gravel parking pad on the proposed garage site.
Project will require selected contractors to have site visit. This can be scheduled after April 16th.
I am building a 22 x 27 2 door garage.
I will be hiring in stages so pls price that way - if it's the same person for whole job that's fine but will not consider quotes that are not broken down to stage
Stage 1
Concrete - need to level and move a shed
Stage 2
Complete garage include trench and run gas and electrical - exterior to match house and a dormer
Stage 3
Interior - drywall and insulate
Stairs up to 10 x 12 storage floor - 7 ft up
Thanks
Carolyn
Hello,
We would like to built a garage asap in our new laned home. We were looking at 24x26 and have some plans drawn up on what we want as it is a different. It's in Chaparral Valley, which is a very new community.
We have a pie lot, and are looking to have the garage door go in at an angel. We've gotten the plans drawn so the tracks on the door fit and seems to be possible.
Please advise further and i can send an attached picture of the plan. Thank you so much.
Erin
I am taking possession of a new home shortly and require a detached garage constructed. There is a concrete slab already provides (with the following dimensions - 12" Diagonal Concrete pier on 24" X 24" X 10" Concrete FTG).
I require quotes for construction of the garage.
We currently have a double car garage built out of cinder block that has two garage doors that are approximately 7 feet in height.
What we would like to do is using cinder block, build the garage up to the maximum height allowable as we would like to be able to use the trusses as a storage area, new garage doors, and then strap both interior/exterior of garage so that we can put siding on exterior of garage and insulate/drywall interior of garage.
We live in Bowness so have a smaller home and thus require the storage area in garage.
I need to demolish a 20 x 24 2 car garage and build a new one the same size , including the 2 garage doors.if anyone is willing to come and check out the garage for an estimate for free, I'd greatly appreciate it since money is a little tight at the moment.
If you'd like to come see the project, you can contact me or my boyfriend at the contacts listed below.
I am in the process of filing a civil claim against a bad contractor. I need a few quotes from different contractors to estimate the total damages and/or cost of replacing the structure built, for my lawyer.
