There needs to be a grease trap installed and plumbed into the basement grease trap.
We need to have make up air units replaced. Please identify all costs associated with the prject (GST stated separately) and the timelines for undertaking and completing the work.
Hello,
We are looking for a contractor who can complete a kitchenette project in our basement – lower cabinets are built but need someone to complete the sink and countertop and plumbing. We are also putting in an apartment size washer/dryer combo unit that needs to be hooked up to water and vented. Wondering what you would charge for this project? Wondering how soon you would be able to do this work?

Hello,
We are the house owners and live upstairs. We need someone to drywall the basement ceiling of a small landing 6'x3' and kitchen 8'x7x with 5/8" drywall to meet fire code.
The landing is very accessible but the kitchen will be slightly more tricky. We have a tenant in the basement with 2 cats. So the project should be completed quickly once started and the ceiling cannot remain open overnight as the cats may get too curious.
There is a little drop ceiling in the kitchen that will need to be ripped out to drywall. Currently there is hard board above the drop ceiling. If you want to quote for painting afterwards and installing new light fixtures in the kitchen I will take a look, but the drywalling is the main project.
We need to instaall 40 lin foot of already ordered IKEA cabinets
There are two stages to project -please quote individually:
REMOVE old cabinets and wooden countertop, and dispose of them
(There is no wall tile to remove)
assemble new cabinets from the boxes, install them, fillers, handles etc
We have moved into a rental bungalow that has some cupboard and punter work space but not nearly enough. One L-shaped half of the kitchen is empty and that's where I need some creative help with an efficient solution. I could go up to $1500 for a complete solution that is put in place.
Thx.
Following needs to be done (approx. description);
- Remove existing tubelights,
- Cut ceiling to pass 6" rigid duct thru roof,
- Complete ductwork and seal roof,
- Reroute electric wiring to hoodfan and provide two light fixtures in ceiling,
- Close ceiling
Kitchen has no room above. Hood fan and ducts shall be supplied to contractor.
I am looking to install or finish installation of a small kitchen, finish laminate flooring around the kitchen, install a door on the furnace room and on the storage room, in a basement suite. I have cabinets, granite countertop but have issues with cabinets needing some repair and incorrect size for uppers. Had another contractor start and never finish.
Thank you
Kelly
I do not have a built in dishwasher but have a wall in the kitchen that could probably house one. I'd like to have a bank of cabinets either built or buy a pre-built cabinet and have it installed and plumbed for the dishwasher.
If this is not feasible, I'd like an estimate to re-organize the kitchen more efficiently..
I would also like to have a new entry door installed, either one purchased used from someplace like Habitat or new from Home Depot.
I need to remove the microwave combined with the cabinet above and replace them with a kitchen hood. This might involve some work as to reposition the ventilation opening on the wall and put the backsplash to the exposed area after the replacement. I would like to get an estimation of the cost for this work. My house is 3 years old and everything is in good condition. I still have some backsplash left by our builder in our house.
Thank you.
Hi,
I am installing a 10ft long kitchenette along a wall in my basement. I need lower cabinets, upper cabinets, backsplash, countertop, and sink. I will need the carpet cut away (keeping the underpayment) and a floor with a lip installed around the kitchenette for spills. There will not be an oven installed here. One exterior door to be installed as well.
I am also getting a plumber to do the rough-in. If you have someone with great communication skills please contact me for that as well.
- doing this economically since it is a rental property
- I would like to have this finished before the end of July, 2017

The reno project includes updating the kitchen, and updating (or) splitting a 4pcs bathroom into two 3pc bathrooms on the upper floor.
Here are more details:
Total finished area of the house is 1,446 sq.ft. above ground. Kitchen is 15.58 Ft x 7.00 Ft, and the upper level 4 pc bathroom is 12.58 Ft x 7.58 Ft
Scope for Kitchen update:
New countertops, sink & faucet, cabinets & hardware, backsplash. Demo wall to extend kitchen.
Scope for 4pc Bathroom:
Option 1: Split bathroom in half, double up on fixtures, retile, and insert pocket door.
Option 2: Retile keep everything the same.
Home is a 4-level split and was built in 1969 – it is one side of a side x side duplex. The entire main floor will be renovated and will include: kitchen, dining room, small bathroom (no shower or tub) – some structural changes (wall removal), kitchen will be mostly pre-fabricated (most likely Ikea cabinets), plumbing, electrical and duct work will need be moved (there is a large crawl space underneath for easy access), new flooring (hardwood / tile), painting, ceiling refinished. The space is currently split into three areas – I’ve attached four photos; #1 - office area - located on south wall (space #1), #2 dining area - located on north wall (space #2), #3 & #4 current kitchen area - located between office and dining area (space #3). I’d like to remove the two walls that separate the 3 spaces and change the layout – space #1 will become the dining area, space #2 and #3 will become the kitchen area. The bathroom is located in the hallway, behind the current dinning area. If possible, I’d also like to remove part of the wall that separates the kitchen and hallway. Several years ago, French doors were added as the main entrance to the backyard. The original entrance still exists and need to be closed off (door removed, etc). I’m still in preliminary planning stages and would like to consult with a contactor re: possible structural changes, expected costs, etc before plans can be finalized. I’m looking to start reno in early 2009.
Hello,
Our kitchen and both need renovation. We are looking for estimate from someone who does really neat quality work, in-budget and finish project on-time. We live near spruce meadow Calgary.
Please email me your contact along with reference and one or two pictures from your recently finished projects.
I'm looking for a quote for some work that needs done around our house... primarily work in our unfinished kitchen renovation, as well as I would like our bathroom updated.
Kitchen: baseboards, paint, kickplates, stove fan, backsplash, and shelfs.
Bathroom: tile, new countertop, lights, paint.
We have an older house, and have tested positive, in small percentage, for asbestos in the drywall mud. So based on this, I'm not certain what can be done in the bathroom other than tiles.
Misc things around the house include a small hole in the drywall, and baseboards in the living room, and some baseboard work on our stairs.

We have a home that was built in 1965, that we own currently, and that we are moving into it September 1st, it will be vacant until then. We would like to renovate one of the bathrooms and the kitchen immediately. The kitchen is aproximately 200 sq'. If possible, we would like remove a wall, and build an island. Some cabinets would also need to be moved. The bathroom needs new tile, and the installation of a new tub, toilet and vanity. It is aproximately 100 sq'. There is additional work that we are interested in having completed over the next 18 months, however the bathroom and kitchen are the immediate priority. If I can provide any other details to help, and to allow to quote, please let me know.
Thank you,
Spence
