Installation of a man door into a wood frame/vinyl sided 3-yr old attached garage. This will require removal of the existing 6-panel steel man door from front entry door of the home to be reused as the garage man door. Installation of the new 4-panel, 2-lite, steel man door will replace the removed front entry door. The garage man door will require removal and reinstatement of the vinyl siding to match the existing siding, appropriate framing into the existing garage, cutting/demolition of a required portion of the garage curb wall to facilitate installation of the man door and concrete to make good the door opening and curb wall, and installation of the reused man door.
Approx. 20' long by 3' wide of poured concrete sidewalk along the side of the garage to the new man door addition.
Optional budget pricing to insulate the exterior walls of the attached 2-car 22'Wx18'L garage.
Optional budget pricing to drywall the above insulated areas of the garage. Mudding and taping are not necessary.
Comments and questions are appreciated.
I am moving to a new home where the door between the garage and house swings outward into the garage. The house I am currently in, has the door swinging inward into the house where I lower a door stop to keep it open which I feel is more practical. I want the door changed to swing inward.
Also, I need an outlet in a room where there is no outlet. On the other side of the wall there is a wall plug in that room. Can I add a plug in into the new room?
Move date is February 15. Painters come on the 17 so if possible I would need it done before the 17 or on the 17-18 before the painter gets to the back entry.
Thanks very much for your time.

old bi-level. (An on-line estimate would be appreciated, or contact us via email for viewing project site).
Thanks in advance,

I just finished off my basement (newer House) but I have 3 window casing that I have not finished yet. All 3 window casing dimensions are Length 5 feet, Depth 11.75" max & Height 31" max. Cannot finish with MDF or drywall as those materials absorb too much water Note: I have not bought any supplies. I'm open to materials on a cost + basis or whatever you think makes the most sense.
Hi
I would like to have a set of French doors installed in my basement. I purchased a package with French doors, jambs, header, & hardware from Timber Town but decided it would be better to have a contractor install them.
Would you be interested in this job?
You can reach me on my cell
Thanks
Mark
Some of our windows leak. We had people out to look at them last year and the year before but we haven't gotten a clear idea of what is wrong and what must be done to fix it.
If I spray the windows with a hose, they don't leak. However, if we get a hard rain blowing against one side of the house, they leak a lot. Someone suggested that something might need to be done in the roof of our house to prevent water from leaking down and coming through the windows.
First thing we need, is for someone who knows a lot about windows and house construction to come out, maybe do some diagnostic tests and figure out what the problem is. Then, we can decide what we are prepared to fix depending on the cost.
Just moved in to a 1400 sq ft 2 story semi-detached built in 1987. We are replacing the furnace which is allowing us to remove the chimney stack which runs up through the centre of the house which makes us want to remove the rest of that wall as well to make the entire main floor open-concept. The wall we'd be removing also closes in one side of the stairwell so installing new banisters etc. would be required too.
The previous owner told us that the wall isn't load bearing but we need someone to confirm that before doing the work.
We're also wanting to cut a hole into the west facing exterior wall of the house and install a new 3'x4' window which can be opened.
Finally, we're looking to replace two similarly sized windows with new ones.
The work must be completed by the end of July.
Calgary House is 1550 Sq Ft 3 bedroom bungalow built in 1976. It has a bay kitchen window, large living room window. Other wise pretty normal. Three small basement windows w/window well access (aluminum sliders)
Want to replace all windows and with some advice, create even more light into the house than is there now. (additional windows or skylight)
I would like to have 2 large front windows, 3 bedroom windows and kitchen windows replaced or fixed if they can. I would like to have the windows that have the blind between the 2 pains in the front windows as they face West so get the afternoon sun. I would also like to have them solid in the middle pain with the crank open windows on the side.
Hope to get some quotes soon.
Our house is in the SE of Calgary, Midnapore to be specific and was build in 1979. The windows that was installed in the basement is not up to current code. Out of the two current windows we would like to upgrade/refinish one and move down and enlarge the another.
We also want to install two new windows in the basement.
We are looking to tear out our old outside steps (wood) and build new ones (with nicer wood) and add a nicer wood door.
We would like to start this asap after getting a few quotes. Please only respond if you have experience in this and are willing to provide a reference or pictures of past projects.
Thanks! I am available after 4 this week for an in person consultation if required.
Thanks

1. Replace the corner windows. Please see attached photos. The current house is in green. The new style I am looking for is the other photo (white frames). I am open to other suggestions. On-site estimate date/time is July 29 between 2:30pm and 3:30pm.
2. Replace the existing exterior door. Please see attached photo example. I am looking for this particular style, but in red.
I am wanting to replace a small basement window with a larger legal bedroom sized window. As the current window is up very high, I can only assume that there will need to be some digging and concrete cutting. I would like this project done with permits. The home is built 1986 and is a four level split.
Storm door got ripped apart from the hinge last November. Handyman came in and couldn't figure it. Sent me to find the parts at Home Depot, but the store doesn't carry it. Handyman says he didn't know what to do and just gave up. Now due to strong Chinooks etc, front door flings open even when it's locked. I'm going away for vacation in October and I'm worried about damage to the house. I need help in fixing this door. Thanks.
I have a house built in 1951 with original windows and stucco siding. There is some insulation, but is original and insufficient. I want to improve the heat efficiency of my home by replacing the existing 8 single pane windows with double pane. I also want to find the best method of insulating the house. I am leaning towards removing the old stucco, wrapping the house and replacing the stucco, but am open to alternative methods. The insulation in the ceiling should also be replaced as it is old and at low R level.
The house is approx 870sqft living space, single family bungalow, detached lot.
Gas heating.
Project involves:
- replacement of 3 windows (each approximately 4' x 5') that span the front of the house with a door in between. Almost 100 year old house and want to keep new windows in keeping with style of house i.e. single hung, white frame.
- replace storm door with new
- replace front steps (approx 3 stairs) - not sure what I want for material
- replace existing wood siding (total of about 2' x 12' area) with new same style and colour
- move existing electrical (exterior light) from above door to beside door
