Hi There,
I am looking for a quote from a contractor to finish my basement job which is approximately 75% done. I had a contractor who started it but he left me high and dry and i am hoping to finish the job for a decent price.
Whats left to do:
-Touch up some drywall imperfections, put a second layer of paint on the walls/trims/railing/window wells and doors. (I have all the paint)
-Scrape some of the popcorn texture off of the ceiling in places that i didn't want it. 3 bulkheads and stairs. and smooth it out for paint.
-Finishing Electrical installs (approx.outlets 11 and switches 10)/ 9 Pot light covers, 3 ceiling fixtures
-Install two ceiling speakers
-Finishing plumbing- All fixtures installs on wet bar, bathroom (vanity and shower)
Shouldn't be a big or a long job at all. Do not want to exceed $1,500 as there really isn't that much work left. A day or two of solid work, and that's it.

Bedroom
3 pc bathroom
Family room
The bathroom drains are roughed in and are looking for a simple finish, stand up shower and basic vanity.
Basic finishing throughout, nothing fancy.

I am looking to finish the basement in my starter home in Summerside. The house is 1340 square feet on 2 levels and was built in 2009. I was trying to have it done myself with trades people that I know so the framing and electrical is done. Unfortunately, it has become too much work to finds more trades people to complete each task so I would like a company to just come in and finish everything for me.
Our basement is roughly 860 sq. feet. We have already completed the framing and electrical work. (I have the development and electrical permits, plumbing permit still needed). There is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, the rest will be living space. We would like to have a wet bar put in along the same wall that is shared with the bathroom. We would also like to see some ideas for built in shelving/cabinets on the wall where the TV will be placed. We would like the majority of the basement to be carpeted with the exception of a small area around the wet bar where we would like something durable but not tile. (Also looking for ideas here).
Here's what's already done: insulation up and taped for half the basement while the other half is already drywalled and painted. Laminate already installed for half of the basement.
Needed: dry walling for half of the basement, walls/closet for furnace, bedroom, bathroom (plumbing is roughed in I think), shelving area, and remaining flooring/painting. Also need handrails going down the stairs.
Basement has gypsum board, insulation on walls and finished bathroom.
We need a wet bar, ceiling with pot lighting, bedroom wall, storage wall, doors and floor covering.
We would like estimates an on-site visit with work to be done the week of October 15, 2012.
Thank You.
Bob
We want to make a bachelor suite in our basement. When you enter the basement there will be a door to the bachelor suite and a hallway to your left leading to shared laundry room and one hall closet. I want the bachelor suite to be all open concept with laminate flooring throughout. The kitchen will be small with a fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, and hot plate. No stove or oven. There will be a connected living area/ bedroom and a closet for their clothing. The bachelor suite will be an L shape. 20ft x 35-6" is the dimensions of my basement.
Hi,
I am looking for a quote to finish a basement in a townhouse condo. The plumbing and insulation is already in place. We are looking for framing and drywall & some electrical. We'd like to be involved, and can help to reduce the costs with jobs like flooring, tiling & painting. We'll price out and scout the fixtures & finishing materials. The timing is flexible. The total basement area is 427-436 sqf, and would include bedroom, full bath, rec area and laundry/storage. The plan is attached for reference.
Thank you in advance,
Inna

Not sure on the square footage but its not that big of basement since its a duplex/townhouse only totals 1430 square feet . We just bought it and havent moved in yet. Its built by sterling homes, but would like to finish the basement. It was too late into the build to have them finish the basement for us.
Would like a basic bathroom installed, nothing fancy (shower, sink, toilet) and would like a wall to be put up to create a bedroom, so its not just one living space.
there would obviously have to be some elictrical work done since there is not outlets down there to plug anything in.
would like carpet in the bedroom, tile in the bathroom, but laminate looking hardwood floor to be in the rest of the basement. I will paint the basement myself, just need the labour aspect done, and the building of things done. So the most important things (haha)
would also like it done relatively cheap, since i wouldnt want anything fancy done, just cheap basic materials used.
A rough quote would be appreciated. THANKS !
I recently purchased a house with an unfinished basement and want to finish it. This basement has a concrete floor and some partial framing work done, would like an open concept look for a "man cave" area, a 3 piece bathroom to have a corner shower installed with a vanity and a toilet, a mechanical room closed off with 1 door, underneath the stairs closed off with 1 door for a storage area. approximate square feet is 550. Finishing material would like to look like my upstairs area, carpet for the main area and linoleum flooring for the bathroom. House was built in 2006, I also would like to finish my garage that would just require some dry walling and painting, but that can be discussed later. I am also an electrician so I can do the electrical work.

We are currently selling our house, looking for a new house with an unfinished basement so we can make it into an inlaw suite. Kitchen, bedroom(s), living room, bathroom and laundry. One style of property we are considering is a 2-storey walk out (2200-2400 sq feet), the other a bilevel - no walk out or separate entrance (1700-1900 sq feet). We are unsure how much to budget for a job like this, and would like to have a rough estimate so we know what price range of houses we should be considering. We fully understand what we are asking for is difficult to judge without seeing it, but just an approximate number is a good starting point.
Thank you for your time in helping us. When we purchase a house, we will be sure to give you a call for an official estimate.

Finishing a medium sized basement on a newer model home. There should be no demolition required. Basement has no leaks and the walls were already insulated. Owners are flexible on layout and material suggestions. Basement already includes electrical, however some fixtures may need to be moved based on suggested layout. Similarly, basement is already vented for heating however some duct-work may be required based on suggested layout. Basement is otherwise unfinished and will require carpet for flooring, a drop ceiling or drywall (flexible), complete drywall, framing for bedroom/bathroom, etc...
Basement will include:
1. 1/2 bathroom (aprox: 8'x8' ). Rough plumbing for toilet and sink are already in place. Laminate or Lino flooring. Plumbing for water-lines.
2. 1 bedroom/office (aprox: 12'X10'). Carpet flooring, framing, drywall, closet.
3. Living space (aprox: 21'x 11'). Carpet flooring, framing, drywall. Will require an access to furnace, waterheater, etc..
I can be contacted via email to set up appointment to view space, material input/selections, and arrange a quote.
Need to finish the basement in my 4 year old house. Doing some of the work myself, but need some help with finishing everything off.
I can do the framing, but will need the door frames and doors installed.
I can run the wires, but am looking for a professional to do the connections.
I will need all of the plumbing done by a professional. Work includes a bathroom with vanity, toilet and shower, and a wet bar in the main living area.
I will put up the majority of the drywall, but will need some of the tighter spots completed. I am told it's best to leave the taping and mudding to the professionals so I will.
Wet Bar - need the coutertop and cupboards installed.
Tile on the bathroom floor, shower, and in front of the fireplace.
Blueprints are completed, but I'm open to some professional suggestions!
