Hello,
I have a partially developed basement where I would like the basement to be finished. Right now I have the walls and ceiling done to a ready to paint state. I also have electrical done on the perimeter of the walls. I would now like to add a bedroom, a bar area, a bathroom. These will need to be walled, drywalled etc. The bathroom will need some work done to the cement to move existing rough-ins.
The bedroom will need new lighting with switch installed along with the bathroom and additional plugs for both. Lighting already in the ceiling will need to be moved to accommodate the new bedroom.
All new lighting should be pot lights.
The bar area will need plumbing, cabinetry, undermount sinks, quartz countertops. Cabinets will only be along the wall with one row on the bottom. No top cabinets. Cabinets should roughly match existing cabinets.
The washroom will need plumbing, vanity with drawers, undermount sinks, quartz countertops. Shower with acrylic base and tiled walls.
Chrome finishing for all taps.
Doors installed for bathroom, bedroom and a door for the crawl space under the steps.
Trim to match the existing home.
The flooring will need to be installed with Luxury Vinyl Plank.
All the walls and the ceiling will need to be painted...a flat ceiling is desired.
Approx. 550sq foot basement to develop. Including 1: (12'X11') Bedroom, 1: ( 6'x9') 3pc Bathroom (Rough-in required), 1: (12'x13') Family room, and 1: (10'x7') Furnace room. The home is an 11 month old Landmark Communities Duplex. Project would be designed to match the rest of the house with Berber carpet, Linoleum in the bathroom and standard trim and doors. Drywalled ceiling is preferred.
Approximately 1094 sq ft basement that we want to develop. house is 10 years old, exterior walls have insulation already. want to build the basement. two bedrooms (one larger than the other), a storage, bathroom and a hall. I have a plan in mind already but would like to hear from the expert what they suggest how the layout should be to maximize the living space
My House is approx. 2.5 years old and I need to develop the basement. My House is approx. 1600 sq. ft and I'm not sure about the area of my basement. The insulation of the walls of the basement is already done, and that is it. It has to start right from the electrical wiring and onwards. Its already roughed in for plumbing.
An I need to finish my basement project before the winter strikes in. Please give me the quote and the time duration that will be required to finish this.
Thanks.
Hello
We have a baby on the way and we would like to see how much it would cost to have a basement and bathroom added to our basement. We want to develop our entire basement in the future, however we are looking at 2 quotes, 1- the whole basement (laundry room, family room, bedroom & bathroom) framed, electrical, drywall and mud and taped. 2- bedroom & bathroom (framed, drywall, electrical & mud and taped) the finishings we can do ourselves.
Thanks

Basement development: Brintnell (NE), newer 2-storey home (2006), roughed-in bathroom, metal studs on perimeter (insulated), but we'd prefer to use wood for framing the interior walls.
We need:
- framing of bathroom (full, 3 walls, one door, approx 5' x 8')
- drywall, tape, mud bathroom
- plumbing - move drain <6" (we can do concrete work, but please provide quotation), install prefab shower or tub, install vanity and toilet
- bathroom electrical (fan is already roughed-in)
- framing of bedroom (small, 1 short wall with door, 1 small closet (bi-fold doors), 1 window)
- framing around main furnace duct (nothing too complicated)
- framing and installation for utility room access (bi-fold doors)
- electrical - outlets/light switches as required by code, roughed in junction boxes for lights, we will install suspended ceiling later
- drywall, tape, mud main area in basement (please provide per linear foot cost, we may want to have our garage done also)
Please quote on supply and installation. Supply - please do not include bathroom vanity or pre-fab shower. We will do flooring ourselves. If you can quote each section separately, it would be very helpful to us! We have blueprints for the house, and will be producing drawings for permitting purposes. We likely won't be starting until August or September, but would like to begin planning/budgeting ASAP.
Thank you!
Kelsey

Also want to match 6 inch baseboard and 4 inch casing upstairs for the living space.

I am a property owner with an unfinished basement requiring development. We would like to develop the basement adding one new bedroom, a 3-piece bathroom (vanity, toilet, and shower/tub), and then open space throughout. The Mechanical Room will remain unfinished. The approx square footage requiring development is 725 sq. ft. Our home was built by Sterling Homes in 2015, with engineered hardwood and granite counter tops. We would like to maintain the hardwood and granite counter top look in the basement, as well as have similar finishings that Sterling homes installed when building the home. Our budget is $20,000 and are open to hear suggestions to make the project fit within this budget. Ideally would like the project completed by July 31, 2018. The contractor must also apply for development permitting and ensure the project complies with city regulations, building codes, and other requirements.
2004 built bi-level with approximate 1200 sq ft of basement development required. Would like two bedrooms, one bathroom, and family area developed. Would require all trades except electrical to complete project. Would also like air conditioning added to the entire house, hose bib and gas heater added into the attached garage. Some design and options would be required, as we are unsure of what can be done with bi-level exterior walls.
Basement only had insulations finished, was built in 1995, a few things I would like to have the basement included:
1 x master bedroom w/ 3 piece bathroom
1 x entertaiment / home theater room including a mini bar
1 x guest bathroom 2 piece
1 x gym room (not importnat, but it would be great to have it)
Looking to finish my basement. Approx 550sqft of living space. Already framed and insulated with vapour barrier
-1 bathroom (pedestal sink, toilet, tub w/shower head and tiled surround, Lino or tile flooring)
-1 bedroom (closet bifold, quality grade carper)
-1 living room (8 pot lights, quality grade carpet, surround wiring dry bar (1 - 3 foot counter, 2 shelves and small cabinet))
- dry wall ceiling complete with sound proofing insulation in roof and in bedroom walls
- need to relocate washer and dryer and Vent to outside and tie into drainage
- 5 complete doors in job (bedroom, bathroom, laundry, storage x2)
-stairs need carpet, already dry walled a bit. New railing as well

would like to devellop my basement. it's approx 997 sq.ft. it's a new house so the basement is already insulated w/metal stud walls. I would like to do drywall with 1 bathroom (1 vanity-5'tub w/surround and toliet) 1-sewing room with closet and 1-large living room with small dry bar & 1storage area where the washer& dryer, furnace and electrical panel are.

Hi,
I am looking to hire a basement contractor to finish my house 961 sf basement in West Edmonton (Edgemont/Woodhaven), work to start preferably in the coming weeks.
I have sketched the floor plan using Sketchup, attached. I have also pointed out preferred flooring materials in it. Beams and columns are shown and considered.
The specialty will be a Finnish sauna (I am from Finland myself), for which I will order a precut material and hardware package from a Canadian reseller. Depending on the contractor experience in sauna construction, I will happily assist as required.
A photo of the basement as of today attached. All the goods will be stored elsewhere during construction.
In addition to what is shown in floor plans, we plan to include the following:
- Stairs improvement (currently painted/unfinished)
- Stairwell painting/finishing
- New 60''x26'' window in the rec room wall
- Electric floor heating and HRV ventilation for sauna/bath, forced flow furnace tie in for other rooms
Looking forward to show you the space and discuss the details with you!
Hi, I am interested in getting a quote for completion of a basement. This would be for a new-build home in the summerside neighbourhood in Edmonton. The house will be constructed by Jaymen and be approximately 1,550 square feet. I estimate that the total livable area to be developed in the basement would be 500-550 square feet. The developer has a basic layout plan for a developed basement that I would like to - generally - follow.
The would include 1 family room, 1 3-piece bathroom (plumbing will be roughed in), 1 guest room with walk-in closet and 1 laundry room (plumbing completed). I can provide any additional information you may need with regard to dimensions, finishing etc.
Thanks in advance,
Chris
