Hi,
We are looking to finish our basement. Our home is in Westmount, built in 2015, two storey 2270sq ft, and the mechanical room is already framed in at 100 sq ft. The exterior walls in basement are already insulated and have vapor barrier. Here is what we are looking for:
- One bedroom with closet
- One bathroom with walk in tiled shower, single vanity, toilet, small linen closet, tile floor
- One small counter with single sink and mini fridge as wet bar (4ft)
- Open concept living area with carpet
- Potlights throughout except in bedroom with fixture
- Possible gas fireplace off mechanical room
- TV setup
- We would like it matched to the rest of the home as much as possible. We have all samples so that should help.
Looking to have our 1200sqft basement developed. This will consist of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, rec room and a utility/storage room. HVAC and plumbing rough ins have already been completed. The outer walls have been studded (steel) and insulated by the builder (Pacesetter). Finishes are to match the main levels, 6" base boards/casings, arch top doors etc. The house will be 5 years old this year and has no existing foundation or moisture issues.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Basement development.
Some framing and insulation. Drywall- tape, sand, mud, etc. Paint- prime, texture, etc. Flooring- vinyl plank, carpet for stairs. Swing doors and pocket door. Kitchen- cabinets, drawers, etc. Casings, baseboards etc.
Approximately 900 square feet. Legal suite
I have purchased a 1977 hm which needs a little work. The utility room is a dungeon of furnace and laundry machines, on concrete, small, with an unused, small unfinished room directly beside it. I would like to create a larger laundry area, clean with proper drainage, shelfing and storage, properly finished with a correct door access to the greater area of the basement. There are 2 bedrooms that can be left as is for now, but the rest needs ceiling insulation for noise, plumbing pipes to be checked as hot water pipes "jump when turned on in kitchen above", new carpet and pot lighting, the list goes on to make it an inviting, warm environment to exercise in, watch tv and have the grandkids play comfortably.
Thanks for your help,
Frieda

I have purchased a 1990 home. The basement is 1400 sqft with some electrical and bathroom plumbing roughed in. I am looking to put in a bedroom, bathroom (3 piece), exercise room and storage room. In the main living area I would like a small wet bar. Fairly simple finishings, carpet on the floor (except tile in the bathroom and rubber matting in the exercise room). The current electrical box is full, so the project would require a new subpanel.
Small duplex condo basement:

There have never been leaks or any water issues. We would like a utility sink installed in the area where the washer/dryer and furnace are located. I do intend to apply for the tax credit so only qualified contractors apply...PLEASE.
Hi. I am hoping to get a quote to finish the basement in a 2500 sq ft 2 story home. Would want one bedroom, one bathroom, and one rec room. Also likely would want sliding doors along most of one wall in order to put storage behind but open to other ideas. If possible it would be great if we could do on a weekend. Let me know if you can assist.
Thanks.
I need a contractor to give me a estimate to finish incomplete work in the basement (baseboards, door casings and window casings and wear and tear on my pond after the winter months (obviously the pond cannot be worked on as winter season is coming up and is not feasible to start work on right now.
We recently had our basement 'gutted' to install interior weeping tile and seal. THe basement in now open. No sub floor. There is a 4x6 retaining wall on the south side where there were minor cracks showing in the foundation. This wall needs insultation/vapour barrier. The other three sides require frost walls.
We would like to consider a Superseal All-in-one type subfloor to maximize head room and insulate the floor.
The ceiling is partly finished and partly open.
We are looking for:
Replacement of two standard basement windows. (30 x 11.5)
Installation of one new egress window (will require cutting into the concrete foundation, excavating exterior and installing a window well)
Roughed in plumbing/wiring for future installation of a bathroom.
Drywall/plaster/paint for walls and ceiling
All-in-one subfloor
The basement measures 22 x 28 X 7 feet. There are four 1'sq supporting posts along the central support beam.
Thank you
Anne
We are looking to put a bathroom, kitchen and TV room in the undeveloped half of our basement. Area where these rooms are to be situated measures approx 39 ' X 11' and is completely undeveloped with the except ion of a wall and doorway at approx 19' mark. We require framing of the outside walls in this area ( 39' and 2 X 11') as well as the framing of a bathroom between the TV room and Kitchen room. Plumbing has been roughed in in the area of where the bathroom will be.
We are looking for an estimate for how much the framing will be.
My house is 3 years old. I"m developing the basement. The exterior walls are framed but I need some interior installation done. Specifically 3 walls and a door for the bathroom and a wall and door for the furnace/hot water area. I'm also looking to have someone do the plumbing and installation of the bathtub sink and toilet. I think that's about it.
