We are though open to ideas as well.

We would liek to have vinyl flooring for the kitchen space, and rest carpeted.
Looking for work to be done to complete my basement. Drywall is complete as well as paintig walls and laminate flooring. Suspended ceiling, hanging doors, baseboards are still needing to be done. 5 doors need to be hung including 1 pocket door and 1 closet. The basement is about 550sq ft and would have about 220 linear feet of wall length. I can purchase the doors and I am considering putting double doors in the closet rather than a bi-fold.
I want tto finisht he basment in my house, the area is about 1200 sq feet. house was built in 2006. the outside walls are framed and have insulation. wiring and plumbing needs to done, as well \i will be adding a wine cellar in one corner which would need to be framed. We had a flood in our basement and are now requiring new drywall/base boards and carpet or laminate, Our basement is roughly 800sq ft and is finished.. we have pulled out the damaged carpet and removed the base boards. We need someone to come out as soon as possible to remove the water damaged walls and finish the floors..
I'm looking for a contractor to renovate a full bathroom on the upper floor, a half bathroom on the ground floor, and design and build a bedroom and bathroom in the basement of our 1974 build 1927 sq ft home, in the west end of Edmonton (I am the owner-occupier). The main and upper floors of the home appear to be mostly original in layout when compared with the plans, though the basement has been developed. The basement area is approximately 1100 sq ft and currently comprises a rec room, laundry, workshop and lots of storage areas, as well as the furnace area in the core. We haven't got a specific design in mind, and will be relying on your advice and creativity to come up with a design that makes the best use of the space. We have no preference for particular style or materials. We are flexible about timings, but would prefer to have the work done sooner rather than later.
Renovate existing main bathroom and en suite by combining the 2 into a bigger main bathroom, creating space for a new & bigger en suite bathroom & closets by taking space from one of the bedrooms.
Also a complete basement renovation (original done in the ,70s) to put in new rec room, playroom doubling as a bedroom (requires bigger window), storage and laundry room.

Our home is 8 years old. When it was built we had 400 sq. feet developed with a bedroom, bathroom and rec room. We now want to develop another 325 feet, some of it backs on to what was already developed. The outside walls already have insullation and plastic. There will be two doorways, one into the furnace room and one to the storage area. The existing door way neeeds to be removed. There will be electrical required in the rumpus room and one or two plug-ins in the furnace room for a fridge and deep freezer. We want drywall on the walls and ceilings, with the splatter ceiling. There are two windows approximately 48X32. The flooring would be a berber carpet, I would like a quote with and without the carpet if possible. I am looking for an online estimate and timeframe as to when it could be done. Also, please specify if you are a member of the BBB.
My house is three years old. The basement has outside walls framed in metal studs, insulated with vapour barrier. There is no moisture problem in the basement as the builder included a vapour barrier underneath the concrete floor. There are no cracks in the concrete floor.
I want the furnace area to become a furnace / storage room. Next to that a bedroom large enough for a queen bed and a bunk bed. I do not want a built in closet. I want a fairly large bathroom attached to this bedroom as an ensuite.
The plumbing is roughed in for a toilet (to be enclosed in a separate room) a stand up shower and cabinets with two sinks. Water lines will need to be brought in from the manifold. All the plumbing in my house is flexible plastic piping.
Outside the bedroom I want a theatre room ready for a ceiling mounted projector and wall mounted speakers. I also want pot lights in the theatre room controlled with a dimmer switch. Ceiling lights in the bedroom also controlled by a dimmer. The theatre room is not enclosed but rather is the open area at the bottom of the stairs.
The storage room needs no finishing inside other than drywall (no mudding). The bedroom and theatre room should be carpeted. The bathroom floor ceramic tile as well as a small space at the bottom of the stairs for the chest freezer.
The ceiling should be drywalled in the theatre room, bedroom and bathroom. The ceiling and walls are to be finished with paint. All walls and ceilings are to be sound proofed. The carpet should extend up the stairs. And I want a nice wooden ledge along the staircase.

I have a 870 sq. ft. bungalow that is 62 years old. We have demolished it back to the foundation. We have discovered that we have a horizontal crack in the foundation wall and a couple of humps in the floor. I had weeping tile and a sump pump installed about 12 years ago and appear to have no water issues. I would like to refinish the basement to include 2 bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room and rec room.
I have a plan already prepared. I would like 2 lb. walltite spray foam on all walls and rim joists, DriCor floor, new furnace and air conditioner, steam shower and french door to office. I have already consulted with an engineer in regards to the wall. It needs epoxy in the cracks and to be framed more structurally on that wall. I need to also address the humps in the floor by removing those areas and repouring. I would like laminate thru-out most of the basement. I have already ordered the steam shower and have decided on the french door (lexington). This basement needs lots of TLC but I definitely see potential.
I have posted a very rough layout of the basement to give you an idea. We are looking to do a complete basement suite. We are looking to keep everything mid-grade, bathroom with a tub and shower. All the plumbing would need to be roughed in. Kitchen with very basic appliances including a dishwasher. We would like to keep the flooring dark and the walls lighter. We would like the laundry to be shared. The windows will need to be dug down and made about a foot bigger. The electrical panel is a 60 amp and will not probably need to be upgraded. Open to suggestions and creative layout options.
RE-POST RE-POST RE-POST
I'm sorry if you responded to this in the past, don't take it personal because I didn't get back to anyone. Things came up and I wasn't able to reply. I wasn't in the financial position to bring anyone in.
I have a drab mid-sixties, carpeted/wood panelled/finished basement with aluminium wiring and 1/2 bath all in need of renovation/replacement including the windows. I'm willing to rip it all out but that's the extent of my skill set. I'm not looking for anything too challenging in regards to the remodel, you know, a closet here, a door there. Mostly just want to update it and alter it a little to make better use of the available space. I'd ballpark the basement at around 900 sq.
PS you should be able to start sometime around May 07 and be comfortable not having anyone around/bondable because I plan to be on vacation from may 07-18th.
We are looking for contractor to complete a full basement reno in an approx 1200sqft 1970's bungalow. This job will require a small amount of tear down of 2 small rooms. It will require construction of a legal suite and new basement window. It will require new bathroom build. It will require a living room and utility room build.
Basically this is a complete basement build.
We do demand this be completed in a quality manner but also timely manner as well.
I have a brand new 2110 sq ft home in Edmonton. The basement is approx. 1000 sq ft. and has 9' ceilings and the exterior is completely drywalled. Other than that it is a clean slate and I'm looking to install 3 bedrooms (3 windows are already there!) and a bathroom. All rooms, carpet fixtures etc.... to match what is already installed upstairs.
- Property location at Jackson Heights Millwood. Closest intersection 50th street and Whitemud
- House is bilevel

- There is a bedroom, a den, one big washroom, laundry room existing
Required;
- Convert into a two-bedroom suite with City permits
- Add kitchen
- Add separation wall, door to separate upper and lower levels
- If required Add outside retaining wall and stairs, cut foundation wall to fit a door OR preferably use sam entrance but with doors to upper and lower level
- Add concrete side walkway to the new stairs to lower level
We have seperate entrance in through the back leading to stairs to basement. Current conditions are that basement is stripped of all old wall board, carpet, and walls of pre-existing rooms are torn down, ceiling tiles have been ripped out as well as old insulation. Square footage is roughly 1000. Prefered materials would be the basics. wood studs, dry wall ceiling and walls, roughly 8 doors and door jams, laminate flooring through out bedroom, main living space and kitchen, tile in bathroom, tile shower, all electrical will have to change, installing light fixtures, plugs, cable and telephone line, new insulation, acoustic proof insulation for ceiling, installing kitchen sink, kitchen cabinets, vent for hood fan over electric stove, installing new electric panel, removing old furnace replacing with 2 furnaces one for upstairs unit and one for downstairs unit, increasing size of proposed bedroom window. Age of the house is roughly 50 years old. Concerns are the height of ceiling along the main supporting beam area and ducting running parallel to it. Also making sure the necessary steps are taken to make this a legal suite.
Hi,
I'm looking to develop a secondary suite in my basement. It's a new home, with possession scheduled for October 2018. We are looking to start the basement development as soon as we take possession.
The basement has already been prepped for a legal suite, with 9ft ceiling and big window sizes, as well as plumbing rough-ins and a legal suite mechanical room with 2 furnaces. Hence, we need help to take it from there and complete a 2 bedroom legal suite. Please note that the attached plan shows only 1 bedroom. But we need 2 bedrooms.
I'm the property owner. The total basement space is about 1,100 sqft. The property is located in One at Keswick.
Being able to provide assistance with the City of Edmonton Cornerstone grant will be appreciated.
Can we schedule a discussion and a possible quote?
