I need to drywall my basement.
All walls and one bulkhead are already framed, electrical is in and passed inspection, so now I need it finished to primer & paint-ready condition and I'm looking for it to start ASAP.
540 sq.ft of wall and about 307 sq.ft of ceiling - see attached diagram.
I am looking for estimates. I would also be interested in the additional cost of soundproofing if I decide to go that route.
I have two bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room in the basement that are framed, insulated and wired. I need the walls drywalled. The ceiling and one wall were done by us but we just don't have the time to finish the walls. We have a lot of the drywall sheets already but would likely need a few more.
I am in the process of removing wallpaper from this mid 70's 4-level split home. In most areas, the wallpaper was hung right on the drywall, so in removing it, the paper has torn from the face of the drywall. In other areas, where it seems to have been painted, the paint has come off on the drywall leaving some paint on the skim coat. But it came off in little pieces so it's not smooth.
I'm wondering whether it's worth it to repair existing drywall, or replace it. In some areas, it's clear it should be replaced as more than 50% of the drywall is torn.
I would like the drywall paint ready, whether it's repaired or replaced, so install/tape/mud/skim coat, or repair/prep existing drywall for paint.
I have no idea how much it would cost, so budget is unknown at this time. I need an honest, professional opinion on what the best option is.
Not sure how best to describe the extent of the work. I can provide pics, if it will help.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my project!! You may save a suicide!!!!
Hello. I'm considering taking down my drywall in the open concept kitchen / living room area to insulate for sound. The room measures about 21 x 15 feet with four electrical openings. It currently has a 'popcorn' that I'd like to change to California knock-down following soundboard installation.
We are a medium size Renovation company and are looking for a Drywall sub contractor to perform Drywall Install, mudding, taping and paint jobs for our clients. Out client mix includes residential and commercial job.
We are looking for someone who has WCB, Insurance and decent work experience and a small team to support the work. We are not looking for 1 person outfits.
If this makes sense, I would like to invite you to send us your pricing list and any information you can share about your work.
We are looking to sign a few drywall contracts as soon as possible and have a preferred drywall sub contractor relationship on an ongoing basis.
Hi,
I am looking for a Texture company to do california knockdown on one of my small room in basement. The total ceiling sq footage is around 120 sq ft. It should match existing texture and I expect the company to do this job with big machine not the small one. I dont believe ceiling needs to be primed as I will be painting a different color on ceiling later.

I have a duplex project in Edmonton and need a drywall contractor company capable of installing insulation, vapor barrier, drywall and taping as well as cooperating delivery of material.
If you supply materials, you could quote them as well.
Basement will be left unfinished, so please include insulation and vapor barrier but exclude drywall for basement.
Please see drawingsclick here prefer email communication.
thank you!
Previous owner to our home hacked at the drywall presumably to fit his tv. Have rebuilt the arch, need help with drywall (arch, bullnose). Some minor repairs around the house could be tackled while here. Will need paint once drywall is complete, by same or different contractor
i have a 3 year old house that will soon need to have the basement drywalled, mudded, taped, and basically just have it ready for paint (which i'll be doing).
i've measured the entire square footage of the basement walls and ceilings. it will require apprx 42-45 sheets of normal drywall and some greenboard for a 5x8 washroom (apprx 5 to 6 sheets i'm guessing).
i'm wondering if anyone can come give me a quote (either in person or via email) so i can get the ball rolling.
please and thanks a bunch

We have a partly finished two car garage we would like to have finished. It has been drywalled and a rough tape job. (Builder grade finish) What we need is to have someone mud and sand it to a proper finish. If the price is right ... prime and paint it. Garage will be completely empty so no moving items.
Thanks.
I am renovating the basement and main floor of my house. I am almost ready for drywallers. The basement will need to be done first. You should know that the entire house is down to frame (old plaster removed). Each floor is approx 1000 square feet. Drywallers need to do excellent work in a short time frame. I need a reasonable price since the whole house is being done.

I need a well experienced contractor to finish drywalls (ceilings and walls) in my new basement of a 6 year old house. I have 2 bedrooms, 1 recreation room and a wet bar, 1 washroom and the stairway area going down the basement. My basement is around 850 sq ft in floor area. Not sure about the total drywall areas though. Would like to get quotes on how much per sq ft. to do this ?
1.) labour only
2.) labour and material (mud and metal corner beads, and paper tapes)
Thanks.
We are about to insulate our garage and are looking for a contractor to complete the drywalling and taping once we finish installing the insulation. It is an attached garage with 9' ceilings, the 2 outside walls measure 22' in length. The wall that shares the garage door measures 3' on either side of the garage door. The wall that adjoins to the house is already finished. Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks for your time!
We had glass blocks in our 1953 house front foyer. Over the past few winters, we were getting interior condensation that caused moisture and mold dammage to the grout on the blocks and to the interior walls (gyprock and plaster) around the blocks. We decided to cover the exterior of the blocks when we vinyl-sided the house. We hired a "carpenter" to remove the blocks and replace with plywood on the outer wall, insulate, drywall and tape the interior wall. Removal of the blocks turned-out to be a task too daunting for this "carpenter" so we agreed he could just remove all the damaged interior walls, insulate and drywall over top of the glass blocks. He did a job that Holmes On Homes would love to feature on his TV show! The job was absolutely botched! He didn't even put a vapour barrier over the insulation! He left edges between the new drywall and the old plaster that would require buckets of mud to hide (and it would likely still be noticable). We need someone who knows what to do and then can do the job so that it looks good. This foyer is very small but has a curved corner, an archway and the glass blocks reduce the wall depth to much less than the rest of the 2'X4" walls, thus complicating the job. We need this done soon as we plan to paint and put new flooring in throughout the main floor and this foyer is open to the living room.
We're not firm on a maximum cost of $1000.00. We need some sound planning, a realistic quote and a skilled contractor.
I need drywall installed in my garage. 3 walls and the ceiling. Garage measure roughly 29ft wide x 20ft long x 9ft tall. One 29ft wall has 2 garage doors. The 20ft wall has 1 window (roughly 5 feet) in it. The last wall is 29 ft and completely needs drywall. The ceiling need drywall and Vapor barrier.

Brand new town house that we will be taking possession of in May. Basement space is approx 18.5x21.2. Mechanical room and laundry room already finished. The frost wall is insulated with R-20 insulation. Remaining concrete walls have 2x6 studs. We are looking to simply finish the insulation and drywall the space to the point where it is ready for us to paint. We would like to have this done when we get possession right away so it can be complete for us to move in within a week or less.
I am required to have “drywall on the inside of the mechanical room on all surfaces” (including ceiling) for my basement secondary suite. The suite is unoccupied and is a COVID safe work environment. The room is approximately 11’ x 5.5’ and will require some framing and access panels. I don’t need the drywall to be mudded, just hung. The city inspector indicated that as long as the drywall is within 0.5” of cables or gas lines, that I may use safeNsound or foam/caulking filler. I have 5 full sheets of drywall and a bunch of off-cuts to reuse.
