I have a number of areas on the outside of my house that need patching to ensure I don't have visitors from the outside. Includes some work in the basement and potentially either patching or replacing basement windows.
Additional jobs include adding a couple of exterior power outlets and looking into a leaky dishwasher.
May also want to replace a couple of exterior doors, depending on cost (old wooden doors on the house that aren't well weather-proofed).
I am looking at buying a house but would want to knock down a wall. It's about 20 foot wall five or take and would like to replace it with a beam. I am trying to widen a bedroom. I know I would need an enginner stamp but I am curious what kind of labour/cost would be involved in a project like this. I would have the load bearing wall stripped prior to work begining. I don't have the house yet so I can not show it but just looking for a rough idea before I waste my money on an inspection.
First, we are still recovering from a flooded basement that concluded in early spring. We still have boxes everywhere throughout the house, literally everywhere. The sump failed, again, and there were two cracks in the foundation seeping water from the side yard.
In winter, the kids cracked the inside glass on the right side of the double pane aluminum frame 70 X 70 window, we have vinyl siding outside.
During the heavy rain in the last 2 weeks, the wall appeared to be leaking from somewhere near he floor onto the carpet in the corner right under this window.
Removed the soaked carpet in the area, water appears to be coming from where subfloor meets the wall in behind the drywall. The drywall is otherwise dry during the rain. so it's a mystery to us where it is coming from.
I would like the glass replaced on the inside panel understanding that this is a sealed unit and it would lose that feature, or replace the whole window only if necessary. With this, I also need to have the source of this leak stopped, I can't afford to have my basement flood again.
If you are able, please provide a quote for the window. We are also looking into grading the yard to drain water away from the house, if you can quote that too separately, or is there is a discount to do both, please include it.
House is in a condo complex, free standing unit, about 15 years old.

We are currently looking to buy a late 1940's house in Bon Accord (north of Edmonton, AB) that has it's upstairs and basement stairways in the middle of the house, right at the front door, in an inappropriate steep angle. We are thinking about repositioning them elsewhere in the house at corner of the living room (and corner of the house).
We would like to know about how much it would cost and if anybody would like to make a quote for this project.
Thanks
The Simard family

In addition, have smaller project at parents.
Our backyard is 44' wide x 30' deep and is approx 1,100 sq ft as the patio juts into the space, reducing the footage. There is access to the backyard through a large gate.
We need an experienced landscaper to:
1. Remove the old sod and discard
2. Add dirt and level appropriately
3. Lay new sod
4. Lay some flagstones (a path) that goes from the deck to the shed (about 20 feet)
We would like all costs broken down. Also, indicate if you deliver sod or expect it on site. If you deliver, also add cost of sod. Any additional sod and/or dirt will be used for a narrow strip between driveways for our property and the neighbor's.
Newly built retail bay needs finishing. 20x60 foot. May just finish the floor and ceiling for the front 700-800 sq ft depending on the cost. The walls will already be drywalled and taped. Plumbing in back corner is roughed in already as well. I would like a small bathroom in the back corner with a toilet and a single small stainless steel sink. The bathroom is not needed for public use. The walls need to be painted. The ducts for the heating system need to be done. The ceiling needs a suspended grid preferably a grey (this may mean painting tiles and/or grid)? The floor should have ceramic tile similarly grey granite type. (not a solid smooth color) Details such as colors etc can be worked out. Electrical is basic plugins and lighting fluroescents plus 2 of my own fixtures. Right now I am looking for interested parties and estimates. Work can probably begin Mid to late December and it is inside work. This is about as basic and simple a finish out can get so I would like it done quickly.
To recap what is needed.
Small non-public bathroom. Rough in plumbing is already done.
Duct work for heating.
Wall Painting. It is ready for paint.
Ceiling tile (maybe just front 700-800 sq ft)
Ceramic tile (maybe just front 700-800 sq ft)
6-10 electrical plugins
Lighting fixtures? Not sure how many yet.
Contact me with any questions and I can speak with you on the phone.
Hello,
I am acquiring a 950 sq foot retail space, formerly a clothing store, which I intend to turn into a psychological practice. The space currently has concrete floors with glue from carpet (I think) which I would like to have finished in polished concrete. It has two change rooms and one 10' wall which needs to be demolished. I will need one 7.5' wall built to close off the staff kitchen area, and four approx. 8x11' offices built, wired for electric, and soundproofed, including solid core doors, lighting (non fluorescent) with dimmers. The existing ceiling is open painted duct work, which will stay as such in the halls/reception area, but soundproof T-bar will need to be above the four offices. There is an existing washroom, which requires upgraded lighting, vanity and flooring. I will also need a glass wind break built around the front door, to keep the cold out of the waiting room. In the waiting room, I will need a simple custom reception desk built (approx. 5' long). Throughout, 4' plain mdf baseboards are required. The whole space will require white paint throughout. Existing halogen lighting is exposed and present. There is nothing in the first 700 sq ft of the space presently- it is just an open room. In the exterior, an awning will possibly need to be installed.
I am interested in both a cost and time frame quote.
Thank you for your assistance,
Andrea

Renovation Requirements: 600sqft
We require the following renovations:
1) Install slat walls in retail bay
2) Rip up old carpet - 500sq ft
3) Help with design of new store front. We like the structure of the existing storefront but would like to do something slightly different with it.
4) Install sink
We would like to install new flooring, lighting and wall fixtures as well as update the paint. We would preferably like to install a durable laminate flooring and install lighting that highlights the glasses displays on the walls. As we are a startup business, we would like to try to minimize the cost for the flooring and paint, but we are also open to suggestions for materials to be used. We also need to install wall fixtures that will hold the glasses displays. Currently, we are planning to order the wall fixtures for the glasses displays from an online supplier, but we will need to have someone to install them upon arrival.
Please provide an online estimate for this project.
