Hello, I am looking to renovate my kitchen. the main area has aprx 240sq ft. There is currently vinyl flooring and 80's wood cabinets that have to go. I'll be ripping it all out and putting in a new floor before the kitchen goes in aswell. Appliances will stay (gas oven, dish washer, fridge). I am looking to do new cabinets, and counter tops, sink and light fixtures (perhaps pot lights) and an island if room and fit is good. I don't want to go nuts with the cost, but am looking to update to something nice, what is an average price I'd be looking at with the above details?
1. Kitchen - new cabinets, countertop, flooring sink, repaint etc. Approximately 8x10ft room size.
2. Bathroom - new tube, toilet, sink, vanity, flooring, repaint etc. (note: may require some repair/replacement of subfloor and wall surrounding tub due to water damage)
Approximately 5x8ft room size.
50+ year old house without any other upgrades so want to keep it fairly basic and reasonably inexpensive.
Our house was built in 1970's, we want to do the following:
1) remove a wall between kitchen and living room to make it more open-view.
2) Increase the living room floor level with the other area so that it is safer for our one year old. This will require window size change too
3) replace the kitchen window with a walk-out door.

We have a 1700sqft space and we would like to turn part of it into an approved commercial kitchen. Work would include but not limited to:
- Building a wall with entrance to close off kitchen area
- Installing floor drains in designated kitchen space
- Replacing ceiling lights with inceiling lights
- Plumbing three separate sinks
- Plumbing for dishwasher
- Installing electrical outlets
I have 3 small jobs that I need to have done in my apartment-style condo, I'm hoping to get someone that can do all three:
1 - I currently don't have a dishwasher, and I want to get one installed. This will require some cabinet work, plumbing, electrical for the unit.
2 - I have an ancient in the wall shower fan that is outrageously loud when turned on. I want it removed, the hole patched, and a proper ceiling shower fan installed. A quiet one.
3. - I had the taps replaced in my shower, the plumber who did the job told me I had to get a separate diverter for the shower head rather than on the spout, and left a hole in the shower wall.
We will be purchasing a new IKEA kitchen which will include all cabinets, quartz counters, a new island and hood fan. We are able to do the demo of the old kitchen ourselves to save costs. We need the IKEA kitchen assembled and installed. We will be replacing the dishwasher so we need to ensure that the existing electrical and plumbing can be hooked up properly. We will be relocating the microwave to be in the new kitchen island so there will be a need for a small bit of electrical work.
Hello, I have a couple things that need fixing in my condo. First a cabinet in my kitchen came off the wall, and I just need it put back up. Also I have an issue with my plumbing, where the sink may be clogged and the sink backs up into the dishwasher. Something may be broken, or the sink may be backed up. I did snake the drain (and tried Drano), but it's possible there is something further down. It could just be the metal clamp needs to be fixed, and a new hose from the dishwasher to replace the old one.
I was hoping to hire someone to fix both of them. The cupboard should be an easy fix I believe, it's the issue with the sink that's been causing issues though.
Please let me know if there's someone that can take a look into fixing both issues. It would be much appreciated.
I have a 1972 Bungalow in Edmonton and we are looking to renovate the kitchen but along with that we are looking to remove 2 walls to open up the main floor. One of the walls is load bearing. Looking for a quote for now and would like to have work started anytime Mid April or after. Please email me for more info. Thanks
There has been recent sewer back-up trouble in the basement of My Mothers small house. Basement clean-up and sewer line replacement are being scheduled.
However I noticed leak into the basement coming from the bathroom above probably from the toilet area. Looking in the bathroom I found this leak looks to have been happening for quite some time and has caused the flooring to become rotten. There is also a lot of mold and a lot of rot around the tube. It looks like everything will need to be gutted right down to the studs and some of these might need to be replaced as well.
The bathroom is small perhaps 5x8 and she will only need a basic tub, basic toilet, simple vanity and the simple fixtures. Nothing fancy because she has limited means.
Also, I'm looking to possibly re-do the kitchen at the same time if the budget works. Work involved -change cabinets, new counter, backsplash and sink, new vinyl flooring and fresh coat of paint. As with the bathroom it is a small space and it would need to be the least expensive option available and done in conjunction with the bathroom.
However given the leak and all the other activity I had to turn the water off so she does not have a functioning bathroom and consequently has had to temporarily move out so time is of the essence. Need to know what would be an approximate budget and timeframe.
1. add a small kitchen to an existing basement laundry room.
2. run wiring for stove and vented microwave, and fridge, add overhead lighting.
3. adjust existing plumbing for washer dryer and sink
4. install cabinets. perhaps supply cabinets and fittings, sink and tap.
5. tile backsplash - 143 linear inches- tile supplied
6. install 2 bifold doors.
7. paint.
8. would love to have install complete before July 7, lol.
Moving into a townhouse and need to renovate the kitchen and finish the basement on a budget.
Kitchen is 10 feet long and 8 feet wide from wall to wall (including counters). We have a breakfast nook that can be added on to the kitchen with some extra counters and cabinets.
Basement is about 650 Square feet but would like to at a minimum finish off one section that is about 350 square feet.
We need a quote for the cost of everything to include with our mortgage. This is time sensitive so quick replies are appreciated.
I have a kitchenette in my finished basement that I would like to give a full (although small) kitchen feature set. It will require venting for the range, and electric range, a small oven, and some electrical to accomplish that part. I would also like to increase the countertop size with an extension (maybe 4-6 foot) countertop/bar.
The house has all new electrical, and has been completely renovated within the last couple years. There is already a sink and a fridge installed. I'm unsure of which type of wood is already used for the cabinets, but it's light and looks to be either pine or maple.
Kitchen cabinets are already installed. Counter-tops should have been installed using MDF only. Owner will do a proprietary concrete/epoxy overlay on said MDF counter-top to replicate a stone-look finish. The island cabinet is 80% finished (materials awaiting installment). Backsplash is not done. On-site assessment is still recommended to provide job quote properly.
