I have a small job in the front of my house that requires a fixed gradation so water drains away from house. It presently slopes toward the foundation.
Specifically:
- free estimate of the work
- a look at my entire house to see if additional drainage mitigation is needed
- load of soil and materials needed to re establish a proper slope to the front of house
- sod to cover the front lawn and area repaired for the slope issue
I am reposting this add due to poor response from last year.
I have a rough grade done in my front yard. I need to fill by the house up 10-12" and slope to front sidewalk. Simple job of fill, soil, sod and a leveled patio block walkway (nothing fancy). Perhaps one tree as well. Yard is about 32' by 42'.
To lower costs, I am willing to put in as much of my own time as I can.
I want to change the grading around my house. It is in an old neighborhood (house is build in 1973) and the slope around the house is negative.
I'm looking for a free on-site grading quote.
Here are some pictures from last year rain. You can see that water is collecting on the back and side of the house and we want this to be fixed, by changing the grading, so the water can go around the house and to the street.
I'm looking for a contractor with experience in this kind of job. I want to know how many projects like man have you done. I need references - at least three clients who have projects similar to mine. I need to know what type of insurance do you have.
Thank you.
This project includes the installation of 18 Jardin (6ft X 6ft) sheds. They are very simple to install and come with a product manual installation guide. A completed built shed can be seen at any Home Depot Building Centre. These shed would need to be strategically placed around the 18 duplex home community for optimnal space and apperance purposes.
The project also includes ground preparation. The ground underneath each shed would need to be prepared before installation.
Four separate pieces of work.
1) Repair fence - two poses are loosened and leaning. fence needs to be straightend and secured
2) Previous staining of deck is flaking off. Deck needs to be sanded and stained. Deck is two levels - level 1 is approx. 14' by 12'. level 2 is approx. 9'by9'
3) create flower bed along back fence. approx. 3' by 38'. front border to be stone or brick about 8" high
4) create flower bed along upper deck - approx.3' by 14'. bordered by brick or stone, approx. 8" high
We need someone to install three tiers of landscape ties around approximately 20 feet of flower bed this week.
Old ties and rebar have been removed. We have purchased the new landscape ties.
We are putting this house on the real estate market, and would like the new ties installed as soon as possible.
We live on a large pie shaped lot with way too much unusable garden space. We want to minimize the amount of time spent on yard work, level the bottom part of yard (slopes downhill) put a retaining wall in and new sod throughout. We would like to hear some ideas from professionals. Hoping to get it done this year.
We are looking to landscape our front and back yards in early spring next year. We have a landscape plan (but are open to other ideas). Our lot is 12,000 sq ft and we need to do rough and final grades, install flower beds, install new sidewalks (using flagstone, or similar product but not concrete) and lay new sod. Our backyard has been stripped of grass and flowerbeds as a result of relocating the garage.
We are looking for suggestions and estimates this fall/winter, so we can make decisions and be ready to go in the spring.
I need the grade fixed/redone around my house on three sides. I will be looking for input on how it should be done, options for how it should be finished IE stone etc. I also require some sidewalk removed that is sloping away from the house. I will be putting in a new sidewalk as well. If time permits I want to put in a deck as well
I am a Realtor looking to get a couple landscaping quotes for a client on a new infill.
-Retaining wall is required and will require about 70ft of 4 x 6 pressure treated timber with a water proof membrane. 48 ft fence with a retaining wall built in and maybe another 22 ft of fencing done without any retaining wall. Material could be supplied by the owners.
-Landscaping might require a site visit. Looking to meet minimum landscaping requirements and pass final grade. 180 sf of rock on the North side and roughly 300sf of rock on the south (Possibly split with neighbour). 1 New deciduous tree (50mm caliper), 1 New coniferous tree (2.5m height) and 6 New shrubs (350-400mm spread).
-Sod to fill the front and back yard. 250sf in the front and 100sf in the back approx.
I need about 12-15 yrd of top soil, grading and 1500 sqft of sod. I will also need one tree. I am tired of all these yellow pages companys comming by, finding out its not a $10k job and never calling me back with a quote. I need somebody who is going to give me a good price and who will ACTUALLY DO THE JOB!
I will also need a 4' section of chain link and a 10' driveway gate.
i am moving into a new home and get posession May 7th. We are looking for fencing on 2 sides (back is provided by city) and sod on front and back. We need one tree and another structure of some sort in the front, as well as a deck in the back. We want low maintenance - so maybe a rock garden - we are looking to get the type of deck that's low maitaince as well - I think its called trex?
I have the lot survey plans and the development's landscaping and fencing requirements in an email attachment that I can send to help with measurements, materials required etc.
I need to get in touch with a good landscaper with very competitive prices and who is willing to let me do some of the prep work in order to save some $ as am on a tight budget. House is in the Riverbend area in Edmonton. Main concern is slumping ground around house and staircase to front door. Rest of the decorative aspects of the final look we can discuss. I can remove bricks that are currently around the house, as well as rotting railway ties and a piece of fence that is in the way and will need to be rebuilt later.
Also have rest of the fence around that yard that should be maintained a bit and painted, which could be included in the work if desired by contractor.
As mentioned, looking for an experienced contractor with some of the best prices out there. If you are it, please get in touch.
Thanks,
Vinnie
I need a landscaping project completed by September 15th that includes the following:
- Final grade/top soil needs to be completed (I have my Rough Grade certification)
-We are hoping to have a rock bed on the right side of our driveway, using Washed Rock/rundle rock with a light greyish tone.
-We need sod installed on our front lawn and back yard.
-We need a tree with a (2 inch caliper). I'm not sure what kind of tree, but we were hoping to have a pink tree that is low maintenance, and that does not grow too tall.
-At the base of the tree, we were hoping to have a retaining wall (stacked stone) using a dark grey stone.
-We are also hoping to have a rock bed on the left side of the drive that lines the sidewalk from the front steps all the way down to the drive way, using the same Washed Rocked.
-We were hoping to edge/line these rock beds with a dark grey paver stone, it can also be plastic
-As for the side of the house, I'm thinking of using those pre-fabricated concrete slabs to form a walk way (on both sides of the house), and using the washed stone as the filler.
My lot specs are as follows:
- Lot Area: 415.8 Sq M
- House Area: 129.1 Sq M
- Driveway Area: +/- 48.9 Sq M
The left side of my house that will have the per-fabricated concrete slabs and loose rock is: 1.491 M x 11.736 M
The right side of my house, that will be the same design as the left side is 1.533 M x 18.442 M
These specs were taken from my Plot Plan.
It is a back yard that has not been looked after. There are sections of it that need to be cleared from weed overgrowth, the soil prepared and laid with sod. There are also sections that need round rocks laid over a landscaping fabric after clearing weed. There are other sections that just need some weed clearing and general clean up.
Hi there. We need to have the side of our garage (area between fence and garage) leveled with road crush and gravel (ie. something permanent with no dirt or weeds coming back. We will be putting a shed on this gravel area. We'll also need to move the small fence section with the gate back to the end of the garage towards the alley. This will allow the shed to be in our backyard area. Looking for quotes and the job to be done soon ie, within the next 2 weeks will be ideal. Thanks.
New home construction, land has sunk and needs to be brought up to code. Landscaping was not packed prior to installation. Decks are falling away from home as they are not attached to the house. Handrails missing from decks. City of Edmonton will not approve until deficiencies are corrected. I need an estimate to repair, replace or fix these deficiencies. The work completed was done in 2009 and is still not corrected.
We had someone come to clean out behind our garage and the worker took away the stuff but just spread the dirt behind the garage. It is up against the siding and needs to be removed and sloped away from the garage. The area to be done is about 16’ by 9’ and the dirt is about 8” deep. Problem is that we can’t get equipment in to do this work as we have a front driveway and the area is fenced in so it will likely have to be hand dug and wheeled to the front. Anyone interested in quoting this job?
Looking for someone to remove a concrete slab from a backyard - approx 25 ' x 25 ' and replace with a sodded lawn. Access through an easy to access back alley way. Probably need someone with some type of small equipment - backhoe? and a truck to take away the concrete.
Would like to have someone with experience with earth preparation and sod laying and maybe to make a children's "sand" box with pea gravel.
Please contact me with your interest in this small project.
Thanks
I have a small bungalow in Edmonton the back half of the backyard is landscaping stones (most are the size of a golf ball or just a little bigger). I would like a quote to remove all the stones and have the yard laid with new sod. The dimensions are 50 feet long and 10 feet deep (approx)
