I am in Main/upper floor of 4-plex & would like gas bbq line. Neighbors attached have one, not sure why we don't. (There is a gas fireplace.) Building is approx. 7 yrs old. The gas meter is on East side of home and would like bbq on front deck, but not attached if it is best to have it in the back. I'm not sure the exact distance, but it's not a whole lot nor too complicated of a job, I'm thinking. Would like it asap as it's summer time pls. Looking for good quotes and lisenced work.
Thank you very much for your time.
This 12 suite condo is heated with a boiler (hydronic) and has an air build-up issue in the heating pipes each year that causes some suites to go without adequate heat. I've heard of an "air venting" system that "vents" out the air from the heating pipes so that heated water can circulate without having to manually vent the air.
The Condo Board President (me) would like to talk to a Plumbing and Heating expert about possible solutions to this problem and how much something like this would cost.
Three issues:
1. poor water pressure from kitchen taps ( taps are only 6 months old )
2. leaky drain pipe from main floor bathroom sink
3. upstairs toilet runs
We used to have poor water pressure from kitchen and had a plumber 2 years ago put in a new tap......worked well till 1 year later I bought a new tap we liked better. The tap the plumber installed worked well, but began to lose pressure....so I bought this better one and installed it myself and it worked well till last week and now poor pressure. I know the first tap pressure was weak only because the copper tubing under the sink got bent somehow and choked off the water output. We don't see this same problem with this new tap......but recently pressure is very poor.
We are looking to renovate our 1970s 2 storey house. The house has about 1600 sqft and 4 bedroom upstairs. Want to blow out the fourth bedroom and combine it with third bedroom to make it a bigger master bedroom with ensuite washroom. Need to pull sewer and plumbing from basement to upstairs and wanting to put stackable washer and dryer at the same time. Flooring needs to be done in entire 2nd floor. Additionally, want to replace the flooring of 1st floor and do minor work to make thinks pretty. The basement is unfinished and need a legal basement suite (small kitchen, 1 bedroom, living room, bathroom, etc.) it does have a separate entrance.
My home has a detached addition which is a bathroom. As far as I can tell, the plumbing is run under the floor to connect to the mains at the house. As soon as the temperature drops to about -15C, the water lines freeze. The plumbing can be accessed from underneath the deck. There is fiberglass insulation there, but this doesn't seem to be sufficient to keep water from freezing during the winter. What I need is:
- water line thawed and restored if cracked
- Better insulation installed on pipes (heat trace? on-pipe insulation?)
Looking for a quote. As far as I can tell, everything can be accessed from beneath the deck and does not require demolition of walls or floors.
Good Afternoon,
This is my first time using this site, so please forgive me.
All I need is for someone "with credibility" to install a new garburator (aka. household food waste disposer) underneath my kitchen sink.
I suppose the old one must also be disconnected.
Thanks again for taking the time to read this.
Please email me or text me anytime.

I am getting new quartz countertops installed and will be removing the raised eating bar and having undermount sinks installed. I will need new faucets installed, plus I have a leaking faucet from spout in the master bath.
I need condo approval for the new faucets and hope to have the work being done in about 3 weeks. The condo is located in Cloverdale and the building is 20 years old.

We are looking to have a dishwasher installed in our island (easy access on the end). This is to include electrical and plumbing. We are also looking to have an existing hood fan and upper cupboard removed and a microwave hood fan combo put in place. The electrical for the hood fan will need to be terminated and a new dedicated line put in for the microwave. For those interested please feel free to call to set up an appointment to stop by. We are looking to get this done ASAP. Thank You.
I have a main floor laundry room / full bathroom. I want to move my washer and dryer upstairs to a storage room next to my master bedroom. I will need a exhaust line and electrical for the dryer plus I wanted to tap into the upstairs bathroom for water and drainage for the washer.
While this is being done I also want to relocate my thermostat. It's currently on the mainfloor bathroom wall and I want to put it across the hallway.
Note: The storage room upstairs shares a wall with my master bath and another wall with my upstairs main bathroom plus my basement is unfinished so moving electrical shouldnt be difficult.
What would this cost and how long would it take?
Hi,
I'm not too sure who I am looking for but I do know I need help with a leaky basement:
- Basement was finished by some very questionable people years ago (They weren't professional)
- Leak is coming from a pipe leading from kitchen sink to a room in the basement, as soon as someone does dishes water starts filling up from the concrete floor (We actually cut the dry wall to get to the pipe)
- Saw traces of black mould around the dry wall in the area
- Wondering if the water has leaked through basement floor as the flooring seems warped
I believe the drain from the shower in my upstairs ensuite is leaking. The ceiling in the living room below is wet directly below the shower. What kind of cost would be involved to get this leak fixed? Would it get fixed from below through the living room ceiling or would the shower have to come out?

Project starts with demolition on Oct. 10, 2018 and is managed and owned by property owner.
We're a local, residential contractor looking to team up with a reliable plumbing firm that also has a gas ticket.
We are a 24/7 company that does both restoration and renovation work within the Edmonton and surrounding areas. We require someone or a company whom has excellent communication skills, reliable and takes pride in their work.
Some items we need assistance with: emergency plumbing repairs, furnace removal/replacements, hot water tank removal/replacements, duct removal/replacement (sheet metal work), gas fire place repairs, removal/replacement.
Hi there,
Does your company do plumbing and drywall?
I have a home in the Millwoods area (Ekota) and I just had some work done in my laundry room. Unfortunately the contractor doesn't do drywall repairs, so I would need a qualified contractor to complete the drywall and put back a vapour barrier covering the wall insulation.
I would also like some plumbing to be reconfigured. I currently have two sets of taps that I want to be built into the wall (see attached pictures). One set would be connected to a laundry outlet box located to the left side of the window near where the 120V and 240V plugs are located (pictured in Laundry pic 1). I need a diverter installed inside the wall under the window as well to eventually connect a sink to the same set of taps.
Additionally, if an outside vent for the dryer could be installed to the left of the window as well, that would be appreciated.
The second set of taps I want lowered to connect a dishwasher (Laundry pic 4). Perhaps another outlet box would be needed for that too (I'm open to ideas).
The laundry room is located on the lower level. Would someone be able to give me a quote for a breakdown of the costs of labour, parts, and to finish the room?
Let me know if you have any questions. I will be available some time in the early new year for a contractor to take a look. Let me know what your availability is for quotes and project start dates.
Thank you for your time!

Hello, I have a couple things that need fixing in my condo. First a cabinet in my kitchen came off the wall, and I just need it put back up. Also I have an issue with my plumbing, where the sink may be clogged and the sink backs up into the dishwasher. Something may be broken, or the sink may be backed up. I did snake the drain (and tried Drano), but it's possible there is something further down. It could just be the metal clamp needs to be fixed, and a new hose from the dishwasher to replace the old one.
I was hoping to hire someone to fix both of them. The cupboard should be an easy fix I believe, it's the issue with the sink that's been causing issues though.
Please let me know if there's someone that can take a look into fixing both issues. It would be much appreciated.
At the drainage joint where the cast line from the house meets the outside, there is a slight shift.
This has caused toilet paper when it is flushed to catch on it. This results in me needing to auger it every few months.
I am looking to have this repaired so that I don't have to worry about flooding in the basement any more.
The house was built in 1964
