I have a three-level split house with attached double garage that probably needs a new roof. We have asphalt shingles that are about 15 years old, the house itself is 26 years old. I would like to have the shingles replaced with a long-lasting (30-40 years) shingles relatively soon. The size of the house is approximately 2,000 sq. ft.
The edges of the shingles over the kitchen (south-east exposure) are curling up, the rest of the house does not look too bad. I need advice whether the roof needs replacement now or can it be delayed with little consequence. Also, what are the best options in shingle quality.
I have a ~2000 sq foot 2 story house. It looks like our roof needs replacing. Our house was built in 2000.
I am looking for quotes or someone to come give us a quote on what it would cost to replace our roof. I believe we are looking for asphalt shingles but we would be open to other options if they are reasonably priced. :)
Thank you in advance!
Susan
Approx 980 square foot roof needs new shingles and I also need new eavestroughs. I want to go up a level in a few years, so I'm not interested in the highest quality shingle out there. My biggest concern is having the roof shingles and eavestroughing installed properly. Also, my budget is limited. I truly need the best price I can get. For a good enough price, I can likely have the garage roof done too. House was built in 1953 but has undergone extensive renos (these are still in progress).
We are looking for someone to come in and replace our existing roof for our car port.
Currently there is poly carbonate on the roof.
And we are looking to replace it with tin/sheet metal?
A -shaped roof.
Our Dimensions are 18 feet wide, 20 feet long, a little over 12 feet high.
There may be some reinforcement of a few pieces of the existing structure needed.
New homeowners looking to have some work done in Highlands area before moving in to our new place.
Not sure about the square footage of the roof, but the interior is ~750 sq ft. There are two chimneys, and the pitch of the roof is unknown but not comparatively steep. The home inspection advises replacing the asphalt roof shingles, as they are nearing the end of their life.
We'd like to book an in-person inspection of the roof leading to an accurate estimate as soon as possible. Ideally, the work will be done some time in the last two weeks of August.
Hi,
We recently purchased a new (built in 1912) house, and when we did so we knew that the shingles and the eaves would need to be replaced right away followed by some other work. So now we are looking for estimates on the cost of replacing the shingles and eaves on the house and the detached garage. The house is a two story with a high pitch on the front and one dormer. The garage has a very low pitch. The house is 1400 sq. feet for the two floors, so approx. 700 square feet would be roofed. Let me know if you are interested in giving us an estimate.
Thank you
Jennifer
Replace and reinforce existing 2x4 rafters on west slope upper roof. Shingles and sheathing are to be removed and replaced. I am having this also broke out to be seperately done but being a small area it might be easier to just include it as a separated cost. Replace broken rafter and reinforce others with 2x6 laminated glued and screwed and nailed.
I have noticed black streaks in my bedroom and going down the back stairs at the back of the house.
It also looks like water stains in the front bedroom on the edge of the ceiling on the front of the house.
Possibly someone to come and look at this for me and provide an estimate and see what the issue is.
I have had problems with my skylight the entire time I have lived in my home. It dripped constantly over the winters until I had the shingles replaced. Then it almost stopped for three years. I then had my attic and vaulted ceiling (where the skylight is)
insulated with blown in insulation-firberwall, and now it is worse than it ever was before. (It is worse when the sun beats down on the roof).
I also have a fireplace that is in close proximity to the skylight. It is not used very often, but I don't know if this affects it.
As well, in a room just off this area, I had the insulators attach the bathroom fan to the roof vent, but now it drips constantly over the winter when ther is warmer weather outside, or the sun beating down on the roof. I have washed the area with bleach several times because I am worried about black mold.
As far as the skylight goes, if there is a product out there that would solve my problems,I am open to it. Otherwise, I want the skylight taken out, and my roof patched and shingled. Obviously some insulation will have to be fixed and the ceiling is vaulted with wood on it. I would like a light installed in its place. I have a ceiling fan in close proximity for the wiring if this helps. Now, the other alternative would be to put an alcove (is this what it is called), but I am not sure this is the bestway to go.
I hope I have described my projects well enough. I have had far too many problems with my home, namely, I have had the foundation fixed on the original part of the house, as well as it was waterproofed and a sump pump put in. I really want to fix the issues I have listed because they would make our health better in the home. I will have to look at several solutions, and hopefully we can find something that is not too costly, as I have put so much into this home already.
Removing old and installing new shingles.
I have a 1977, 1250 square foot bungalow.
Low pitch and a very basic roof layout. One "peak" if you can call it that!
I would like to include my detached double garage as well which has a more than basic layout.
I have friends who have had their shingles done in the last few years and have received what I would consider to be a reasonable cost. Most of them with new houses, with numerous peaks and valleys and with ungodly pitches. For this reason I believe I should also be able to receive a reasonable quote to do what I believe to be one of the easier roofing gigs you will get this summer!
Thanking you in advance for your time and quote, TOM

Remove shingles. Do repairs if necessary, replace flashing, remove top portion of brick chimney. Redo roof where chimney was.install waterproof membrane, water & ice guard. Re shingle roof & if it leaks like the last roofer caused you die! Keep yard neat & tidy using only the lane way for supplies & access. Impeccable cleanup.
Need new shingles and possibly some new sheathing for a cabin at Buck Lake near Oakes Bay. The main part of the roof is 23’6” X 10’ on each slope. The more shallow summer kitchen section is 20’6” X 8’4” and may require new sheathing. The slope on the main part drops 6 feet over 8’5” distance. Square footage is just under 650 sq. ft. The current shingles are more than 25 years old.
Joint owners live in Edmonton and Calgary. Will have to arrange a specific date and time for an onsite estimate if required. Variance from the budget estimate given is negotiable. Contractor to confirm measurements.
Please provide an online quote to re-shingle the following structures: one 53-year old bungalow (1,000 square feet floor plan), one standard size double-detached garage and one single detached garage. Please note, the single detached garage does not have a peaked roof; the roof slants downward in one angle from one wall to the other.
4/12 pitch roof is too water damaged on 50 year old house. Need contractor to remove old roof and trusses and install new trusses, new roof decking and do shingling and fascia as well. Roof is leaking so need a contractor available as soon as any permit necessary can be pulled. Roof is straight line, no gables or angles. Attic was cleared of loose insulation 5 years ago, is now batts and easily removed. May consider using the same contractor for windows and doors.
Hi there,
I'd like to get a quote on re-shingling my roof this fall. It is a 1920s cross-hipped bungalow. There is one brick chimney and also a no longer used metal pipe from a living room gas furnace.
The current shingles are curling, and we had ice dams and some leaks into the ceiling last spring.
I want to get replacement asphalt 3-tab shingles. I also would like you to check whether the ventilation is blocked and whether any of the flashing needs to be fixed.
Extend roof line from 4in to 12in+ and match shingles.
House is 1 1/2 stories
Extend roof line 12in+ in along eves and gables
Extend Gable over exterior door way
Example:click here roof line around perimeter of first story to north and south side.
I have a small project that needs to be completed. I have one roof rafter that is cracked and has to be jacked up and then sistered. I would like to have a quote for this.
I will also have more work later on when the snow has melted, as I have to replace asphalt shingles.
Could you please give me a quote on the rafter for now.
The house was built 1926.
If you have any questions, please call.

Quick story: I had a crew doing shingles on my roof, and they told me I had a couple rotten boards. Once they pulled them back, it was discovered that some of my roof trusses have pretty bad water damage. So my roof is temporarily tarpped, and I need an urgent quote on fixing (maybe even replacing) the roof. Could you please contact me to let me know if this is something that your company can do quickly?
Thank you for your time.
Chris
