I am looking to have a basement developed in a 4 year old 1046sqft bi-level. Basement is insulated, but does not have any rooms framed in, no drywall, etc. There is plumbing for a bathroom. I'd like to add one bedroom, a rec room, and full bathroom (3 piece would be okay). I am in need of quotes soon in order to finance the development in with my mortgage.
-Basement development includes framing, wiring, walls and flooring for two rooms.
-Floor remodeling includes removing old carpet and lino and installing laminate flooring in two rooms and hallway..
-Some small custom work including installing breakfast bar, lighting, above stove microwave and moving of some electrical outlets.
We live in a typical 890sqf bi-level house built in 1972 located in Grande Prairie. Our basement has been finished to include two bedrooms, a rumpus room, a three piece bathroom, and a mechanical room, but leaves much to be desired. We are still running the original Lennox furnace, located in the centre of the basement, leaving a myriad of walls in the downstairs washroom. The ceilings have been left unfinished in some rooms, and have mismatched popcorn surfaces in others. In the rumpus room, a wood-burning stove and washer-dryer have been installed. Shortly after we purchased the home, we removed the carpeting and installed laminate, only to have our water heater wash-through and damage most of the work. We are looking for design ideas for the downstairs that will re-incorporate the basement into the rest of the living space while respecting modest budgets.
Included in this budget would be the installation of a new heating system. Because the whole house requires work, and because we bought when the market was still high, this project must consider the max potential value of the home. Both my wife and I are willing to participate in the renovations.
Framing of laundry room, bathroom, bedroom, small hallway, closets. Drywall, mudding, electrical, plumbing, ceiling, painting, flooring, and finishings. Our basement is approx. 1000 square feet. Ideally would love to have some one complete this job from start to finish as soon as possible.

I have one room needing just onee wall to finish it andI need my laundry room framed insulated and dry walled. I have all the materials I just need someone to do the work. Approx square feet is 950
Renovate existing basement suite to make it a legal up down duplex. Demo will be done, but separation of utilities and soundproofing/fire rating needed. Depending on cost, may replace kitchen cabinets and counters. We would like to not have to totally gut the place, but can if needed.
-668 sq ft
-99% of framing ( Doors have to be framed in)
-Some electrical started ( outlets and light switch done in bedroom), would like one more light installed in the bedroom, two pot lights installed in the rec room and one light above the bar. Need atleast 6 more outlets in the rec room installed. Also two pot lights, one swtich and outlet in the bathroom, maybe heated floor in bathroom if not to expensive.
-all plumbing in the bathroom needs to be completed.
-tiled flooring in the bathroom, also the shower if premade isn't available in size.
-drywall in partial bedroom, all rec room and bathroom
-carpet installed intire basement
We have an unfinished basement, approx 800sq feet. We want to put in a legal rental suite..Our home is 7 years old and a split level in Lakeland developments. We have a seperate entrance already. 2 large windows on each end and 9 foot ceilings. We want 1 bedroom 1 bathroom open concept living area, maximum usage of the space in a modern design. We are looking to get estimates from licensed professionals only. Thank you for our time.
