External walls already insulated, need electrical drywall and paint. Need to frame for a bathroom and a furnace room. Plumbing for bathroom already roughed in. Looking to possibly tile entire basement and possibly infloor heating. Drywall ceiling and pot lights. House was built in 2008 basement is about 670square feet. ceilings are 7 1/2 feet
The house is 95 yrs old, but has been extensively remodelled recently. There is no bathroom upstairs (in the master bedroom). I would like to move the bedroom wall out about 2 feet into the attic to help create space for a toilet and sink. There will thus be a sloping ceiling (from 7'6" down to about 5'6"). Then an interior wall will need to be installed between the bedroom and the new bathroom. I envision creating a room about 4' x 8'6". I do not think there will be room for a shower, but would consider that as an option.
I also have several other renovations I would like to make, but would like to start with this one. I would like to help with the work to the greatest extent possible -- both to keep the cost down and to learn -- but I certainly don't know enough to do this myself.
We have three bathrooms that need to be remodeled. The smallest needs the tub removed and replaced with a shower. Vanities and flooring needs to be replaced as well as painting. The second needs the existing shower removed and a larger shower installed. Vanities need to be replaced as well and perhaps tiling. A partial wall may need to be removed to allow a larger shower. Floors are to be replaced and room painted. The third is in the basement and needs to be finished, perhaps the toilet replaced, shower finished and a fan put in.
