I have a townhouse and would like the oak cabinetry resurfaced to a white or off white paint, also would need a new backsplash, tile to be removed. Sink is to be replaced as well.
Will be running a laminate through the first floor. I may have it done professionally but may not be a must at this point.
Pictures can be submitted upon interest.
We are taking out 2 walls, one a load bearing wall, between kitchen and living room, one partly load bearing, between dining area and stairs to back door and basement. This wall will be replaced by a pony wall or railing. House is approx. 50 years old. 1100 sq.ft. on main floor. replacing entire kitchen, moving kitchen sink, adding electrical outlets, moving fridge and possibly stove, replacing lighting, flooring.Budget closer to $20,000.
The dimensions of the kitchen that will exist after renovationsare 18'2'' X 10'9" . Currently there is an angeled feature wall that separates the kitchen from the living room and this decreases the overall space in the kitchen significantly and I would like to open up and extend the kitchen to these new dimensions. The other item to work around is that the far north wall has a full window that measures 7'7'' in length. The angled wall is lined with a pantry cupboard, a small two door cupboard, stove, and second 2 door cupboard. The wall opposite of this wall has the fridge, built in dishwasher, kitchen sink, and a L-shaped counter. There is a suspended drop down lighting in the kitchen area ( I have heard of this being called a sunshine ceiling) and this dates the place and I want to change it out. The cupboards have all been re-surfaced with Oak 'skins' and if it is possible to retain and reuse the cupboards I would prefer to but am open to suggestions. My overall objective would to have an updated modern open concept kitchenwith a walk in pantry. I have ideas in my head but can't visualize what any of it will look like and I need the eyes and mind of a skilled person to let me know what will and what won't work and what pitfalls and flaws that there may be in my ideas.
I am replacing the backsplash & countertop in my kitchen. There is currently tile in the space between upper cabinets and countertop. We will need to replace all of the drywall in this space, approx 50 lineal feet, also some repair will be need to fix space on edge with rounded corners. House is only 16 years old. I am looking for a quote for the drywall work only.
