1656 sq ft basement. Would like to put 2 bedrooms, storage room, bathroom with glass walk in shower, rec area with built in wall unit, custom bar with granite, fridge, stove and dishwasher. Also a gated wine cellar/liquor room behind the bar. All carpet besides the bathroom and bar area, that will be tile. Our house is 2 years old and we would like all of the finishing to match the main level. Looking for a few quotes and an idea about how much this will approximately cost.
My home was built in 2003, with an unfinished basement, although with roughed in plumbing.
My wife and I bought the house in January, and want to finish the basement. We want to do most of the work ourselves, but will be contracting out for plumbing and HVAC.
The home is 1463 sq.ft.
The basement will be split into 3 rooms - Rec Room with wet bar area, Utilities Closet, and Storage room. Only the Rec room will be completely finished.
The roughed in plumbing for a bathroom (Toiet, sink and shower drains) is about 5 ft into the rec room, from the foundation wall and 5 ft from a wall we'll build between the Rec and Storage room. We will not be putting in the bathroom, and would like to either move or remove the roughed in plumbing.
Will need to run water / drain for the wetbar.
Will need to run HVAC aronud the Rec room.
Cheers
-Pete
We have a partially finished basement (exterior walls are framed & insulated). Total area is approximately 820 square feet. What we want:
Ceiling: Drop ceiling with pot lights (insulated for sound for guitar amp)
Flooring: High quality laminate throughout including basement stairs.
Bathroom: Area is 5'1"x8'10". We want a toilet, pedestal sink, walk in shower (perhaps tile if in the budget) and a place to put towels and such. We have lino left over to cover the floor in the bathroom.
Mechanical Room: Build mechanical room adjacent to bathroom with a few shelves. Right upper corner of drawing.
Also we want vacuum piping and outlet extended to the basement. I put budget between 20-50k but we are looking to spend on the lower end of that range.
Photo's of rough drawing and basement attached.
In summary we need a mechanical room and bathroom built. The rest of the basement is open concept as it is a 2-story home so the basement is small.
Our basement flooded just recently we got the problem fixed and now we need an estimate on what it will cost to renovate. We recently had carpet in two areas that had to be removed but is salvagable. All the rooms together is 700 Sq ft. Which has carpet. And new dry wall, paint, tape, underlay, drywall screws. We need the bottom four feet done all the way around the rooms due to water damage. Also the carpet needs to be laid down again. The age of the house is about 1978. And there were renovations done where it flooded.
Basement Renovation including drywalling, mudding and taping, painting, installing engineered flooring (already purchased), and finishing such as baseboards. Also one fireplace to be installed (also already purchased) but the framing will already be done. No electrical required. One upstairs bathroom. Total square feet of basement is about 980. Bathroom upstairs is small (painting, tiling around bathtub, installation of double sinks and tiling floor).
I would like to convert my basement into a rental suite. Presently it is used as a family rumpus room. The area will require to be gutted with the exception of the bathroom which will remain as is. It is in 2 rooms plus a bedroom now and I would like it renovated into one area with a kitchen added leaving the bedroom separate. The electrical will have to be redone, ceiling to be insulated and replaced, drywall, entrance way closed off adding a doorway to the suite, painting, new flooring, fixtures and hardware done.
I would like to get estimates on the project.
Thank you
I am looking for an online estimate for our project. It is a basement room. The drywall is partially done and some may need to be replaced due to water damage. The insulation is in. The room will need to have the drywalling completed, a ceiling installed, and a floor put in. We are considering hardwood or tile flooring. If satisfied with the work, future projects will be given. The house is 26 years old, and the room is about 110 sq. feet.
I have put an offer on a home with a finished basement but I would like to make some adjustments. I need a separate entrance from the side of the house which is connected to the stairs leading to the basement. We also need to add a kitchen and potentially a second room if space permits and would like to talk about price quotes and a walk through of the property. The basement already has a completed bedroom, bathroom, and living room.
I have a basement (approx 1100 square feet) that I would like to have completed. Within the basement I would like a 3 piece bathroom, a bedroom, work out room, a bar and a fire place, while the remainder of the basement is left open for a pool room and living room. I would like laminate flooring (living room and bathroom would have heating floors) in most of the basement with the exception of the bathroom. I would like to do some of the work (tiling and walls) to bring the cost down. Currently the basement is unfinish and I would need an electrician. At this time I am looking for an estimate to see if I can afford such a project.
I would like to have the electrician and flooring completed ASAP.
