We have had a home inspection completed on a 40 year old home in St. Albert that we are negotiating a purchase on.
The home has aluminum wiring with approximately 30 circuits according to the inspector. He recommends that an electrician look at the circuits to give us a quote on maintenance and/or replacement.
Hi! We need to find a very experienced Electrician to look at the existing wiring in our 1970's built 2 level split. We'd like to know what kind/condition our current wiring is in and possible options/solutions to any problems there might be. We are on a tight budget but want to ensure that our house is safe and up to current codes.
Thanks!
Cassy
I have recently purchased a house in St. Albert Alberta. The washer and dryer are on the main floor, off the kitchen. I would like to move the appliances to the downstairs utility room (where the furnace and hot water heater are located). I have had my handyman look at this project and he advised that I use an electrician and plumber. I am looking for one person who would be able to do both those tasks in one appointment, if possible. I will move the appliances myself.
I have two bathrooms that need repairs. Down stairs bath requires a new surround as the plumber "fell" though the drywall into the shower, took my money and ran. Would also like to replace the toilet and faucet in this bathroom. My second bathroom ceiling is falling. The bathroom fan was not connected properly so it has been dripping into the attic for a number of years. I need someone who can drop the ceiling and insulation then put up new ceiling, vapor barrier and drywall. As well due to the moisture the fixtures (plumbing and electric) rusted. These too would need to be replaced. I am looking to have the downstairs bath fixed first as I have three teenagers and cannot go without a usable washroom.
I need a master electrician that can get us a permit to change about 14 lights in an office condo to LEDS, plus a couple of receptacles. I am a qualified electrician in Alberta (retired) and my son is doing the projects and wants me to do any electrical work. Its a very small job but requires an electrical permit along with building perrmit that he has.
We are willing to pay the person to supervise my work plus if they need a St Albert Business License we will pay for one for a year.
I have replaced the smoke detector twice. The battery dies right away and the beeping starts up again.
I believe the wiring to the smoke detector must have an issue because the battery dies quickly.
There are three smoke detectors in the condo but only the one on the main floor beeps. I need it fixed before a renter moves in.
