Hi, we're having a new kitchen put in and are trying to price out the cost of some things that need to be done in addition.
We need under cabinet lighting and in cabinet lighting installed to a separate switch. 4 pot lights installed in the kitchen, some lighting added over the new island and the dining room light moved further away. As well as some small drywall repair, installation of a vent from over the stove to the roof, installing approx 500sf of ceiling planks ( we provide) in the kitchen, dining, living room and new baseboards and door/ window trim (we provide).
We are renovating our home. It is a 1500 square foot split level. built in 1986. We would like to have a wall removed between the kitchen and dining room, replace the cabinets (including putting in an island), replace the flooring with hardwood, and have a china cabinet alcove put in. The sunken family room is currently empty and ready for installation of hardwood. Once that is finished we will be able to move some of the living room furniture, TV, etc. to the family room.
Our house is 20 years old and in need of upgrading. We are starting with the kitchen approx 12 x 13. Possibly refacing or new cabinets, new flooring on main floor (approx 900 sq ft), possibly new flooring upstairs as well, Would like some design ideas for kitchen layout. Very busy house so need to get these jobs done quickly.
Just bought a condo that has water damage in kitchen. There is rot under tap and at bottom of cupboard under sink there is rot and some mold. I need faucet replaced, box cabinet under sink repaired or replaced (it was press board), all counters replaced, and possibly new sink as well. The cupboard under sink would have original doors put back on. It is a galley kitchen so there is a 9 foot counter and 2 small counters, approximately 2 feet each on other side of kitchen. I can start this renovation project the earliest September 7th when we get the place.
I would like 1 wall removed in our kitchen and replaced with a small island. I can email you pictures to get started and perhaps you can give us an estimate.
It's the small portion of wall near the front door in the picture.
Also to include new countertops, pantry shelves and various other items.
We have a basement entry in Abbotsford and are looking to remodel a big chunk of the upstairs in our house. Right now the kitchen/family room is very closed in. Dining room is separate and the living room is open. All on the same level as 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We would like to take some walls down and open the kitchen area up.
We are not sure if the walls are load bearing (no floors above this floor) and we do not want to have to replace the wood floors we already have as they are very nice and cost $8000 to install. We are not sure how to get around these things or where to even begin.
We would love to talk to someone who knows and get ideas.
Our Community Association is pleased to announce that we have been awarded grant funding from the BC Community Gaming Capital Grants Project to undertake much needed repairs to our beloved hall. The initial stage of the construction project will include foundation repairs and a complete kitchen renovation. In this regard the Board has struck a Construction Committee which has prepared the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting local contractors to submit a bid.
We are providing this RFP now so that if you are a contractor in this line of work and are interested in submitting a bid then please do so, or if you know of a contractor who would want to bid, please share it with that person. Because the grant approval was just received, and the narrow window we have for construction this summer, our timelines are by necessity tight so there is urgency associated with this request.
Thanks very much,
Lindsay
My house is about 33 years old and I want to put an 840 ft addition over my garage. I plan to extent the garage by 2 ft north and 8 ft west. The addition will consist of a Master bedroom with a full bathroom and walkin in closet, a family room and an excercise room. I also want to reno my kitchen at the same time.I am on a limited budget and am looking for a licenced, experienced, punctual general contractor that carries insurance and has current references.
