I would like to remodel our bathrooms.
I am looking for something that is cost effective and pleasing to the eye but also comes with quality and reliability . The price should be comparable & competitive.
We have 3 bathrooms in our house and would like to do all 3 in different stages to avoid major inconvenience.
We know what we want and would like to discuss options before we select a suitable contractor.
House age:35 years old
Required to replace bathtub and surrounding ceramic tiles that includes new cement board around the tub. Current tub is the standard five foot tub with ceramic wall tiles. At the same time would like replace all shower taps and shower heads. Currently bathroom has ceramic tiles on the floor which I would like to keep in place if possible.
Master and guest bathrooms need full renos. Powder room needs new cabinets, sink and toilet.
Kitchen has new appliances and flooring. New cabinets and lighting needed.
Looking for quality that will enhance resale value along with reasonable budget.
Current roof will need replacement soon. Need an estimate.
Hi!
I need someone to do an overhaul of my bathroom. Everything needs to be replaced except the toilet, the lighting and fan. If i can get a quote for tiling the shower/tub, replacing the bathtub, replacing cabinet/countertop, flooring (i'm thinking tile), a little bit of putty, sanding, painting walls. We can either gut it for you to reduce the cost - depending on how much that would cost.
The house is 35yrs old, bathroom is in decent condition but dated. I am concerned about leaking and venting but also want to update everything as well. I would like to increase size of the room slightly and install new bathtub, tile, lighting, vanity, and possibly toilet. The floor is lino right now. Also, I would like to install a washer/drier hook up in the hall beside the bathroom. It would take half the space of spare bedroom closet. Looking for quotes on this job
We're looking to have a structural post removed as well as renovating the kitchen and 2 bathrooms (main bathroom and ensuite).
Structural:
The removal of the post will require the services of a structural engineer. Based on a brief conversation with an engineer, the foundation will need to be underpinned, requiring two (2) 25 MPAa footings as well as 32 MPa to cover the slab that was opened for the underpinning.
The beam will be approximately 17'9" long and either a W10x33 or W10x39 beam.
Kitchen:
Custom cabinetry to be installed.
Applicances: estimated budget allowance of $50,000
Bathrooms:
Main bathroom - full remodel. Bathroom currently includes a double vanity and standard tub/shower.
Ensuite - re-frame shower to accommodate a 3' x 5' walk-in shower running parallel to the exterior wall
Other notes:
- Flooring in the kitchen area to be re-used.
- Hazmat testing most likely required. House built in 1984.
- Approximate amount of floor tile needed for bathrooms: 138 square feet
- Approximate amount of tub tiles needed for bathrooms: 170 square feet
- Approximate amount of quartz (Caesarstone Standard) needed for island/countertops" 60 square feet
**Blueprints available upon request**
We are wanting to update our kitchen... will be removing a wall, giving it into a "great room" feel. house is typical 1970's home, never been remodeled. Kitchen area is small, currently covers 10x9 (two walls). Looking for contemporary feel, light in colour - hubby wants white, I don't - too high maintenance. Not a busy kitchen, so not looking for high end or gourmet results. Need to incorporate a dishwasher, more outlets and expect we will need an island to create more available surface and cupboard space. no water on the island, but open to anything else. Ceiling lighting is a couple of recessed fluorescents, with an additional light over sink. Flooring will need to be mixed between the living/dining area and kitchen area (whole space is approx 20x23) - thinking of linoleum in kitchen space. Not really looking at replacing appliances, prefer white vs chrome.
This will be the main project, but will also be looking to reno the bathroom shortly, so would consider doing both at the same time, particularly if rejigging the space might work out better.
We can start this any time, now or in a few weeks, so quite flexible.
500 sq ft bathroom ensuite. I'd like a spa like master bath with marble floor, tiles backsplash. Walk in shower with separate freestanding tub. Double sink, one vanity with cupboards. Nickel finishes, pot lights, dimmer, vanity decorative lights.Wall paper maybe on wall behind vanity or tile backsplash, framed mirror, heated floors. seating in walk in shower.
The house is about 40 yrs old, there is a finished bathroom (but with all pipes except the one's under cement) exposed outside the walls, for the most part.
The toilet could be moved and the tub or shower connected to that drain. The toilet would need to be tied into the main drain then though ...
Really, all we are after is installing any kind of shower assembly, in a relatively small area ... though if put where the toilet currently is, there is room for a full tub or small 26"X 26" shower stall.
This is a condo. Strata approval is in hand provided a permit is acquired for the bathtub replacement. The new bath tub is here and delivered. The job includes possible cutting into concrete floor to extend drain slightly to fit new tub. Other work would include new fixtures install and tiling.
Location is Ladner.
Call Mike

New home, taking possession at the end of the first week in November. In the North Delta area. Like someone with good communication to work with on design and materials used. I am on a modest budget.
My main concern is price, quality and at the moment time. Would like to move in before Christmas 2009.
