I am making a garden on the one side of my driveway and front of the house. I have dug out all the grass but still want another 3 or 4 inches of soil removed and taken away with the grass. Approx 4 1/2 yards of material. The area is 40 inches wide and about 90 feet long. Will need a mini excavator and trailer etc. Looking to spend about $500 cash and must be done on a weekend.
Looking for someone who can lay down some landscape blocks, not a retaining wall, more a feature or break between lawn and garden, the product I have is stack wall and will be only two blocks high. Lay down landscape fabric, fill 4” to 6” crush behind. Want to simplify maintenance in the garden, prevent weeds coming through. 4x6 treated lumber around shed backfill with 3/4 crush or similar product, some soil material may need to be moved. Landscaper should probably have small tractor, or backhoe type machine, wheelbarrow and shovels might not work. Material to be relocated on property, I don’t believe any hauling away of material will be necessary.
Looking for ideas and input, also some shrubs may need to come out or pruned.
Stackwall should have gravel underneath, not laid on soil. Pictures available upon request.
General garden maintenance, lay down landscape fabric, landscape ties and 3/4 crush, we can supply all materials and arrange delivery if required. Area to be gravelled is approximately 10 feet by 55 feet.
Soil / Mulch on front and back, landscaper will need to come by to quote,
Cedars surrounding property to be trimmed.
I am looking to get some quotes to build a 2 foot high retaining wall an 90 feet long. Also install cedar fence on that side as well I had some BRAR FENCING do this 20 months a go and it is falling over as he had no clue what he was doing obviously. Please ONLY contact me if you do this type of work. If you want to come and give me a quote please let me know.
Hello folks,
We are a 40+ year old Landscape Design-Project Manage-Build Firm, who is moving gradually away from sustaining our own Field Construction Crews and moving more toward the Design and Project Management domain, largely because my back will not take the day to day heavy work anymore. We generally have an abundance of quality Projects and are busy all year round. We also have a division in Olds, Alberta, where I am from originally.
We looking for all 'outdoor trades' who are interested in Sub-contracting work, from us. Also, if you are - we need to know what is your availability?
At this time, we have a little 600 +/- sq. ft. Paving Stone Patio and "Walkway install Project' in Brookswood (South Langley) ready to go if you are interested and can accommodate it this week. All we need is a price, and if it is acceptable; it can be built right away. It must be completed by the end of this week. Excavation has been completed already. It can be done Labor and Tools only (wherein we would supply the Classic Standard Pavers), or it can be done turnkey lump sum, wherein you supply everything.
Please let me know ASAP if you are interested and can accommodate this time frame and I thank you very much.
Best regards,
Alan

We recently added an extension to our home and are now looking to rework the garden which will include removing some trees and shrubs front and back of house, adding new plants, replace two driveways. Inground watering, lay electrical cable for garden shed, Fencing, and gates Key to this project will be ease of maintenance when completed.
I have a retaining wall in my backyard made of wood, about 20 years old and needing repairs and probably eventual replacement. It's fairly large - the entire distance across my backyard, 25m long and .75m high. 20 m^2 (212 sq ft). I'm interested in knowing the cost of total replacement, to take the retaining wall completely out of my worries - wood, concrete, stone ... an estimate for all materials and labour.
I'm even more interested in prices for replacing the top-most ties which have rot damage and deferring total replacement for a number of years. They're 4x5 inch ties w/ 8 in spikes through them, and I've noted 7 48 inch ties (stairs) needing replacement, a 103 and 35 inch tie that have split that are less critical (they appear decorative).
