I would like to extend my existing deck by the maximum allowable area of 72 sq ft.
the deck is covering the carport. I will need 4 new posts and footing for the extension.
Existing wood handrails will be replaced by new aluminum with (glass inserts) handrails.
Deck material will be approved membrane over plywood sheathing over deck joists.
Home was built in 1967. The deck is about 25X12 feet and is mostly over unconditioned enclosed space (a tool workshop). The deck is currently leaking and there is some rot to the wood framing and decking. The tool workshop is partially below grade. The wall cladding below the deck forming the workshop wall is also leaking. It appears to be related to the deck but also runoff from the ground. We would like to rewaterproofing our deck and repair the cladding. Details include: -removal of existing tile and membrane on deck now, repairs to underlying wood framing and wall cladding, installation of torch on modified bitumen waterproofing on deck, installation of a walking surface - we are thinking wood. The wall may require some flashing and damproofing at the bottom of it too. The cladding is wood siding.

an old not-to-code deck which is rotting and needs to be replaced and redesigned. Carport which is connected to the deck is in same condition and is part of the project. i do not need it all done in cedar but i want it to look nice and last. There were no footings under the deck and some of the back yard will need some landscaping once this project is done.
We live in duplex and I have a deck on the upper floor that i would like to put up windows to enclose it for use as storage and maybe a guest room.Ideally for the windows we would have the ability to open and close them.

We are renovating the exterior of our North Van house. We have an existing second-storey deck that needs to be torn out. There is a carport with slab, but we want to expand the space into a 1.5 car, closed-in garage. The garage will be about 20 ft wide and 30 ft deep. There may be some drainage issues to contend with, as our drainage pit is where we want to build. The garage needs electrical and heating, with insulated walls and a couple of windows.
We want a deck on top of the entire garage, and want a second tier partway down for a hot tub. We'd also like a pergola to cover the entrance to the house on the second storey deck. The pergola would be about 20ftx15ft.
The exterior of the whole house needs painting. It's stucco.
We'd like the project complete by September.
We do not have plans/designs done for the reno, so we'll need that service as well.

My sundeck is in need of repair/rebuild. Some posts are rotten and plywood between the vinyl flooring and deck is soft in some places. Most of the beams underneath seems to be ok but a few would need replacement. I would prefer to have privacy panels (like I do now) around the deck but not sure if I want aluminum railings or wood.

increase curb appeal. If necessary install two supporting pillars and increase the front entrance from the ground up. Replace bay windows with to enhance the front entrance.

Apply new vinyl surface. Install new aluminum and glass railings. Paint facia. REQUIRE 2 QUOTEs, one with full aluminum frame with glass rails and the second with "infinity" glass rails.
