We have gutted our bathroom but are looking for someone to:
- replace the plumbing in the shower/tub;
- install the bathtub;
- drywall around the shower area (which has a window in it);
- tile the shower wall; and
- tile the floor.
We have purchased the material just need to pay for the labour. We want to start asap. (We live in Port Coquitlam).
Complete renovation of our ensuite bathroom. Currently we have a toilet, boxed in soaker tub, separate shower stall and a single sink. We are looking to expand the room by removing a wall that is currently the back wall of the hall linen closet. This will allow us to make the room larger and more square. The plan is to install a new pedestal soaker tub, a new separate expanded shower with a seamless tempered glass partition and a new vanity cabinet with double sink. As a result of the new wall we will need to replace the ceiling and would like to add pot lights. We plan on using mostly tiles for the floor and part way up the walls and are considering heating the floor, but are open to design ideas to best use the space. The closet in the hall will also need to be closed in (removal of bi-fold door and installation of a wall). We can do the demo work and finished painting to reduce the costs.
i have an 8'x5' bathroom
i'd like to replace the existing bathtub with a walk in shower with glass sliding doors
replace the vanity (28"x22"), and toilet
replace the vinyl floor with tile
change the light fixture
my budget is $6,000 plus taxes for everything
I would like to insert a medicine cabinet into the wall so it is flush, not mounted to the wall. I would also like to install lghts above the medicine cabinet to improve lighting in the bathroom. There is curently a light/fan on the ceiling which could be convereted to fan alone or perhaps a softer light for relaxation vs., light required for hair and makeup.
I would like to replace the standard 5' tub with a Jacuzzi tub (also 5' but deeper) with jets. I will need to have electrical work done to hook up the jets I imagine. I will not need tiling work done as I will do that myself. I would be interested in either prurchasing the tub from the contractor or at a retailer like Costco or Home Depot.
