1967 large cedar deck that we would like repaired/replaced. Approx. 250-300 sq ft wrap around cedar deck. attached to house with carport and workshop below deck.We would like to convert the double car carport and workshop to a inclosed garage with automatic garage door. New drainage for the deck maybe needed as well.
I need a quote for demo and repair/replacement and permits required.
Please e-mail to set up time to inspect the project.
We have two decks that were poorly done before we bought the house two years ago. They looked great but whom ever did the job put a wood deck over a vinyl deck without sealing it (holes through vinyl). Hired someone to do it last year and did a bad job. Long storey short guy took money and has not repaired our deck.
WE hired a company to renovate our deck/carport last may (over a year ago!). Well, we've been screwed. It's still not up, he doesn't even have the permit yet, and the guy is asking for more money again. In all likelihood we'll be hiring elsewhere and suing the guy. I need a professional second opinion on what has been done and the value remaining still. would you be able to come out and give me some estimates?
Our deck/carport has many rotten areas on the deck surface and supporting beams underneath. We want to keep it basically the same except we would love to add engineered beams to the structure and remove the posts that are in the middle of the carport making it tight for parking space. We would eventually like to close it in to become a garage so whatever changes are necessary to make that legal we would like to do it.
I am looking for quotes in regards to having a very old cedar fence removed and replaced with a chain link fence. Fence length is approx 60 ft. No neighbors border this fence.
I also require a deck to be rebuilt. There is currently a leak in the deck floor which runs into a storage room attached to the house. Most of the floor of the deck could be salvaged but a portion will need replacing. The rails will need replacing. It must be a solid floor. Perferably vinyl deck. There is currently a partial roof on the deck. I would like to see it expanded. The deck is approx 23 feet by 12 feet.
Need my outside back stairs (leading from the house to the backyard) replaced.
Would like a small landing at the top (4' x 4'), followed by approx 5- 6 stairs, then another landing (4' x 4')(stairs will change direction) and then 2 more stairs. Wooden hand railing on both sides, where required. One side of the stairs will be directly against the house, so hand railing may not be needed on that side until it turns at the landing. It depends on aesthetics.
Please quote pressure treated as well as cedar.
Please also advise how many days this job usually takes and your current availability. Looking for last week of August or early September, if possible.
House is in Mary Hill, Port Coquitlam
I have a fairly small wooden patio deck raised on support poles in the rear of my property. It comes off of the kitchen at the second level (house is 2 stories high). The deck is partially covered by the house roof overhang, and it uses white aluminum railings, wooden stair set and plastic/epoxy waterproof flooring.
One of the corners of the patio exibits some wood rotting. This portion needs to be fixed.
Work can start anytime.
We have a sundeck that requires new vinyl floor cover and some repairs to the hand railing (completely rotten) or replacement with a simple black aluminum railing depending on cost. The deck has been viewed by a contractor back in December who is now too busy to complete. He was confident that the deck would only need new plywood and vinyl and that the joists were not rotting underneath. We have waited 6 months for the contractor to help and the railing in particular has become unsafe so we would love it if you could fit our job in between others or if you have time do it asap. We also have a bathroom in need of some work but that is not as pressing as the deck. The deck is 20 feet by 10 feet. This is our own home and look forward to your help.
The work would require someone who can remove and replace the vinyl flooring on the sundeck, along with the plywood. The it is either a replacement of the wooden handrail all around the deck and down the stairs. Or someone able to replace the wooden railing with a black aluminum railing.
Thanks to you all. We really look forward to working with you.
