Bathtub Replacement:
I live in a 2 year old town house where the bathtub is very low and would like to replace the current tub for a soaker. It is an alcove tub where the faucet comes out of a half wall that is butted up against a standup shower. The alcove has tile half way up the wall on 3 sides which will need to be removed/replace when the deeper tub is installed.
For this project the tub will be removed, there will need to be some framing work, plumbing work, and tiling.
Den Creation:
I also have an area in the entry way that is vaulted to the upper floor. The vaulted area is approximately 12' x 8' and is enclosed on 3 sides with walls up to the ceiling. The open side has a ponywall which looks over and down into the entry way. I would like to remove the ponywall and cover up the vaulted area to create a den/office area and finish it with laminate/hardwood flooring. Some pots lights will be installed on the underside to provide light to the enclosed entry way.
For this project, the ponywall will be removed, the drywall will be opened up to expose the joists and installation of headers and flooring, some electrical and running of wires for outlets and lighting, finishing work and painting.
I would prefer to have one contractor do both jobs and I can be available to assist with the work and can do some of the prep/finishing work myself. I would like to do this project sometime this fall. Please contact me for a site visit.
I have a near-new 2000 sq ft townhouse with an extra room built into my 2-car garage. I want my garage-interior house door moved out into the garage about 4 feet and my basement hallway redone to make the extra room seem fully a part of the house. The extra room will need some insulation on its concrete floor plus carpet laying and a base-board electric heater + possibly a few build-in drawers. As well, the front basement room has access to a 60 sq ft unfinished area under the front stairs that I want opened & made into a study area/closet, with a reorganization and opening-up of the adjoining washer/dryer space + some work in the little bathroom to build a counter around the sink + a few drawers & shelves.
