we have 25 suites which require to have the upper and lower kitchen cupboards and counters with countertops replaced completely ; including new boxes / drawers / faces and hardware . We have tried to call and talk to someone , but the person i talked to laughed at me and called me s______d for suggesting rona installations . I am familiar with Rona as jack Wolokoff works for Rona Installations and has done other work here in the past and we need someone to come out to our complex to do a quotation for the replacement .
35 year old house located in Richmond, BC. House is 2700sqft with 11' x 10' kitchen and 17 x 10' dining room adjacent. The dining room and kitchen have a wall between and we would like this torn down to open up the space. Would like new cabinetry and flooring for kitchen as well. We are also interested in enlarging the master bedroom ensuite by using some of the space from the larger adjacent bathroom.
Also would like further renovations to the house including removal of wallpaper and applying new paint, crown molding and door/window trim, recessed lighting, CAT5E cabling, carpet. Replacing wood panel walls with drywall. Converting from forced air to radiant heating. Ideally we would like to gut the whole house depending on estimate and consultation.
Our maximum budget is approximately $100,000.
1) Replace all the kitchen cabinet doors (22 in total)
2) replace the kitchen and dining room floor from laminate to tile (about 399 sq ft)
3) replace the family room, 3 bedrooms and corridor floor from carpet to laminate (about 800 sq ft)
4) replace carpet for 12 steps stairs
30 years old, 3 storey apartment building in Richmond. One bedroom apartment approximately 700 sqft.
laminate floors in the kitchen, done by the previous owner, rest of the apartment has carpets.
What needs to be done:
Kitchen - is galley style, on the side of the wall dividing the room there is a "take - out" window. The top wall needs to be taken down. Removing the raised counter portion to install a over hang counter to be the same level as the sink. New counter top will likely be needed.
Flooring - Laminate flooring for short hallway and living room. Tiles for front door landing and kitchen areas. Kitchen currently has ugly/cheap laminate.
Painting - living and bedroom. (depending on quote).
Apartment is currently empty and have not been moved in yet. Ideally, project needs to be completed by end of March 08.

I would like quotes and expertise on the ability to open up kitchen wall into living room. e.g which walls are load bearing etc and to complete kitchen reno. Bathroom reno also to be done, we buy goods you install. Must have many years of experience, plumbing and electrical qualifications and references.
Must see place this Wednesday 23rd June 9am-10am.
Complete kitchen counter change with backsplash, redo kitchen flooring, would like to put quartz or granite countertop with new sink and faucet. Also thinking of changing kitchen cabinet door but will see depending on what is the cost of renovation. We live in a townhouse and the kitchen area is very small, approximately 94 x 94 inches.
Wife and I want to open our kitchen in our townhome.
WE HAVE THE ENGINEERING COMPLETED WITH PLANS AND MATERIAL SPECS.
Partially (about 9 feet) removing a bearing wall and placing a beam with posts at either end. There are more than likely electrical and plumbing services in this wall that will need to be relocated.
Posts will bring the load down to beams which will replace the existing floor joists that will need to be cut out. Need to have the subfloor patched. Wife and I will be doing the flooring.
Remove 7 foot partition wall.
7 foot portion of exterior wall adjacent to new post will need structural upgrading as it is a shear wall.
After structural work is completed, drywall, tape and mud, and prime the areas so my wife and I can paint.
We need to keep the cost in the 5-10K range.
