I have a two bathroom in my residence that in a serious need of facelift. The house was built in 1986 and recently bought. The neglect the bathrooms and general plumbing has seen is evident. The house main bathroom and master bedroom bath needs to be modernized. I need someone who can renovate the bathrooms and look into the plumbing situation. I have several ideas as to what I am looking for in the project and would definitely welcome your expertise and skill to complete my vision.
This is a gutting and remodeling type project where the old needs to be out, and in with the new. I have some direct examples of what I would like and welcome any past work which you may have to view.
I am currently in the planning/budgeting stages and would like to start the project asap.
We have a tub which a handy man spray painted with tub paint which is now pealing more than it was before the tub paint was applied. It's a regular tub but we want the tub to have with anti slip grip and in cream or almond.
Someone clean neat tidy and takes care of putting everything back in pace after the job is completed is appreciated.

Our bathroom is REALLY small. We want to replace our bath tub with a shower stall so that when you are sitting on the toilet, your have room to sit comfortably and not have your knees bash into the tub.
We were thinking of replacing the tub with a curved shower stall with a sliding door so that even if the base of the stall is close to the toilet, the door can slide open and give your knee room to move.
Hi there, we will be listing our house in a couple of months and would like to get some work done. Mainly in the bathroom, some tiling work, install a bath fan (ducting needed) will be needed to be done as well as some cabinetry installed. And some other stuff done around the house.
So you do work in commercial locations? It's a small project, installing a shower stall and a vanity into an existing bathroom - taking out a wall, building a new wall, etc. Square footage is approximately 2.7 metres x 1.6.
Can you come give us a quote? We are in Surrey.
We want to replace our shower with a bigger shower than we have now, and put in a rainfall shower head with a handheld shower head. Also, we have a Jacuzzi tub and tiling needs to be done at the bottom, a temporary plastic was put in, when it should have been tiles or if you can suggest anything else.
House is 30 years old. The floor in the bathroom floor and wall above sink was tiled <10 years ago, the rest of the bathroom & shower stall seem to be original. Concerns:
Shower stall:
Tiles on walls and floor old and next to impossible to clean properly. Grouting damaged where water from shower head hits the wall. Number of tiles around the area bulging out and detaching from wall. Probable damage to drywall behind and water barrier/insulation to exterior wall. Solid cement pan seems intact other than for unsightly tiles. No problems with water evacuating/backing up. Minor mold damage on shower ceiling (painted plywood?).
Bathroom:
Spots of mold on bathroom ceiling, where joists meet the ceiling. Possible problem with ventilation, through attic to exterior. Would like fan replaced with newer one and ventilation improved. Awful wallpaper - needs to be removed and walls painted. Small electric heater with fan, wall-mounted. Would like it removed and wall patched. Would like an electric towel heater (will provide) installed instead. Old-fashioned lighting to be replaced with newer lighting. Also replace electric timers/switches.
Anticipated work
Shower stall:
Demolition of existing tiled shower area (Walls and existing pan area)
Build new shower pan and install tiles for base
Fix any vapour barrier/insulation problems by shower (outside wall only)
Install new faucet for shower (single handle control)
Install new tile backer for shower
Install shower tiles
Grout shower tiles and apply grout sealant
Bathroom:
Remove heater on outside wall, install electrical box to terminate wires (Assume no electrical box exists by heater)
Patch wall where heater removed (Install some drywall, mud and sand)
Remove wallpaper
Investigate source of mildew problem above window
Install heated towel rack (Assume power can be obtained from extending existing heater circuit)
Replace existing exhaust fan (Assume existing ducting is adequate)
Replace existing fan switch with push button timer (Assume power for pan is available at switch box)
Replace existing light, patch wall where necessary
Prime ceiling and two coats paint (Use oil based primer)
Prepare and prime walls for painting
Paint walls, 2 coats mildew resist paint
General:
Dispose of demolition material to dump (Include cost of dumping fees)
Shop for and pick up required materials
Small bthrm. job, I have a Maax shower unit with door & showerhead to be installed. It's going into existing alcove w/ old unit already removed. Needs small portion of drywall replaced.
Also considering tiling option, please also quote for shower base installation w/ tiling (large, basic, easy maintenance tiles)
Size of alcove is:76" H x 36" W x 40"D x 36" Base.
Hello,
I live in Surrey with my family and my in laws in our basement suite. Our house is old. It's run down. And we are trying to just keep things patched up until we sell, but as all things go we are slowly seeing everything fall apart.
The main issue right now is the sliding door in our basement suite. It's currently completely off the track, and prior to that it was in mostly shambles. Of course this happens the night of the Arctic front. We have it closed enough for now, but obviously it's not going to hold.
The big issue is that the track is damaged. I bought a replacement track but clearly there was more damage than I realized on the original track, and the door never fit on properly.
My goal is to patch it up so that it’s usable as a way for my father in law to get in and out, but also keep the costs as low as possible. If it’s a fix that will work for a few years, then so be it.
We have a few other areas to be addressed. The main ones are a basic surround to cover the tile with missing grout in our bathrooms and to cover up the tubs. As well a replacement to the bathroom exhaust fan upstairs (we have the replacement but haven’t been able to install it), potential installation of an exhaust fan in the basement bathroom, help addressing excessive humidity upstairs and work to stop some leaking fibreglass roofs and leaks due to the previous owners using incorrect decking material.
Our goal is to keep the budget as low as possible. The work doesn’t need to be fancy. It just needs to get us through so we can sell at some point.
Thanks in advance.
Replacing old bath tub and fixtures plus side wall tiles and installation of new vanity.
Estimates size of bath tub:
Length = 58.5 in.
Width = 30 in.
Depth/height 16 or 15.5 in
Area to be tiled:
Width = 32.5 in.
Length = 58.5 in
Height = 84 in
