We would like a carport constructed with three bays for three vehicles, about 32' deep x 36' wide, and high enough for an RV (which we don't have, but you never know what the future may hold). No electrical or water services needed - just basic cover from the rain, snow, sun.
To perform vehicle maintenance, a concrete floor within the carport area will keep jackstands and such from punching through, as well as staying solid when there might be fluid drips.
The asphalt driveway between the road and the carport would be around 35' long, with a beginning-width of 20' at the road and a finishing-width of 36' (at the front of the carport).
The area has received some basic preparation, and there are no special concerns. Easy access.
Thank-you for considering our project!
My wife and I are planning to build a backyard renovation in our Surrey duplex.
We want a double carport built on the existing concrete pads while tying into an existing shed.
We also want a new low composite deck that incorporates the new carport, along with new fencing all around the existing property boundaries.
We currently have a designer drawing up our project. Looking to have it built in late spring early summer. May/June.
Thanks for your time.
I have a 20'x22; garage that is about 50 years old. It is done. Very done.
I would like to have a similar structure on the same footprint. Has concrete foundation.
Double car entry, best if it's a single door.
Tricky bit is to have the demolition of the old garage and the new garage built in the same place. It is only inches from the property line.
The drainage is a serious concern.
I have a budget of $10G, and do not need anything high end. I am in a rapidly re-developing neighborhood, but require proper storage for two classic cars.
It does not need to be insulated or heated, but would be interested in those options to add on later.
I am in Surrey,
I will figure out the storage aspect of the current contents of the garage.
Please give me an idea of timeline and when best to do this....
Thanks
What we want is a new structure in fully paved back yard off of paved lane. Existing storage building measuring 12ft. by 16 ft. to be disassembled. Concrete slab of same dimensions and some asphalt to be removed for new foundation. New structure to be 25ft. by 28ft. outside dimensions. Building will be two levels with a half loft. This will need to be sturdy enough to support pool table. There will need to be stairs inside coming off the loft to groung level.
The other half will be open to accomodate a two post hoist. Height of walls to be nine feet before gambrel roof begins running front to back. First portion of roof to be six ft. There will be two 8x9ft. garage doors. One of normal electric type on side of hoist and one barn style where loft is located. A small washroom downstairs in back corner under loft will be required. Hopefully if by-laws permit our outside deck will have access to a man door in garage to loft. Also a man door at ground level at end of garage closest to house. Various windows to be installed at either end of garage.
